(y/n) was walking through the underground with Chara as her guide. The fallen child was so innocent, so curious, so naïve.

Chara lead  her past every puzzle and obstacle.

Then there was the first kill. Toriel was slaughtered out of pure curiosity.

(y/n) reset, feeling bad about the genocidal act.

Day by day, I'm fading away

The child awoke in the familiar patch of buttercups. They had no memory of the previous timeline or of killing 'goat mom'.

"Hey wake up. Are you okay?" a voice called.

The fallen child sat up groggily with flowers clinging to their hair.

"Hi, what's your name?" they asked.

"I'm Chara, let's be friends"

We get along just fine

The two children were like siblings. Chara however, had (y/n) wrapped around their finger.

Chara managed to convince the naïve child that Tori was evil and had her killed immediately.

Something told the child that this wasn't right, but they trusted Chara's judgement anyway.

Papyrus seemed so nice, but Chara said it was only an act. Sans seemed to scare the child even more so after the tall skeleton was reduced to dust.

Alarms kept ringing in (y/n's) head, but again ignored and followed Chara's lead.

(Y/n) simply cocked her head and grinned darkly. They charged at Sans only to get dunked on.

"I was only doing what you've been telling me"

"We got killed!"

"Yes but we can try again right? We just need more LV and then we'll be free"

"Yeah, you're right. Let's go friend"

That's when he saw them. Sans saw Chara's soul looming over the kid.

Chara had taken control of the child's body and attacked.

The genocide part of you kicked in and scared the hell out of Chara.

Sans ended up killing the kid again.

(y/n) looked at Chara whilst reaching for the true reset button.

The difference this time is that instead of a knife in their hand, they held a bouncy ball.

"Hiya Mr. Skeleton! Would you like to play catch with me?"

Every ounce of violence was erased from the child. No one died and Pap gained a new friend.
