Request by  FireladyofInk Carrot gets tired of Blue dying in the Resets, so one day while the human takes the bean down he grabs his brother's Soul and struggles to keep it alive for the Reset, ignoring the world outside. A different sort of snap. And he can see Blue, but the boi is actually sort of there, not imaginary. Ink suddenly snaps and goes on a quest for emotions like everyone else, "killing" Dream then Nightmare and taking their Souls before in his high he takes Error's as well, and they're all sort of alive and awake and the Error and Nightmare are not happy while Dream is just traumatized.

I spent way to much time writing this, but a good story demands time

What would you do if your world ended.

Emotionally..

Physically..

Spiritually..

Or just plain ended.

This was what Carrot dealt with with the resets, a never ending hell of what ifs.

Of a future that never got past a certain point.

It was soul breaking, and most days it was only Blue that got him moving in the mornings.

"No... please no," he begged, as the kid dusted his brother.

Dusted..

Dusted...

Dust...

Why so many genocides kid?

Not caring he grabbed his brothers soul and blue bandanna, shortcutting away.

Crack...

"Blue no, please don't," Carrot begged, as cracks formed on the white soul.

Crack Crack crack...

"No.. not again, never again," Carrot cried.

And proceeded to ignore his AU, not caring for the slaughter outside and he tried to save his siblings cracking soul.

As I was saying on the other side of the multiverse, a soulless being a journey.

Ink began a journey for emotions, as something inside him broke with a snap.

"Sorry," Ink said stabbing Dream, the guardian looked at his long time friend in shock as his body crumbled to dust. The suppose protector of the multiverse swiped the soul, and swallowed it.

He shivered as it settled in his code, his ever changing eyes an empty white.

"Still not enough..." he said, and vanished in a portal of Ink.

Concentrate.. he had to concentrate...

If he lost track more cracks would appear.

He didn't care that he was exhausted, and that his magic burned from over use.

Only his brother mattered.

"Papy Please..." Blue whispered, he had sort of flickered ghost like in awhile ago.

"Please Blue, don't leave me alone.. not again," Carrot begged, as orange magic tainted tears slipped down his face.

"Its okay, the reset will fix me... your only hurting yourself," Blue told him.

"No... I can't," Carrot cried.

"Oh Papy, I'm sorry... I can't protect you from this," Blue said, ghostly arms hugging him.

Carrot continued to concentrate, even as he burned himself away.

Blue wished he could cry, he'd come back as a ghost but he still couldn't help.

Nightmare knew the moment his twin died, they were two halves of one.

Knew that already he was fading.

One could not survive without the other.

He didn't know who had taken his brother, but they would pay.

The king of darkness spun around as a splash of liquid was heard.

"Wha..." he manged to choke out in shock, looking down at the hand going through his goop and into his chest.

'Was he always this strong?' Nightmare thought in fear.

"Another one.." Ink said as he pulled the soul free, Nightmare's body falling to dust.

He swallowed it and gagged, his body rebelling.

He still couldn't feel....

There were other stronger souls that may work.

Blue didn't know what to do..

Unless a reset happened soon, Papy would kill himself trying to keep his soul in one piece.

"Huh..." he said feeling confused, something was wrong and he couldn't quiet figure out where this feeling was coming from.

What was wrong though?

"SQUID!" a glitched voice screamed.

Ink turned and stared at the enraged destroyer heading his way.

"Error," Ink said flatly.

"What are you doing Inky! Your suppose to create to my destruction! But your destroying and killing, ten razed AU's and one original in bad shape. And your eating souls!" Error snarled angrily. His error glitches swimming around him.

"Ink does not care, I will feel. You can all die, and I will finally be complete," Ink said with a demented smile.

"This is not a game INKY!" Error screamed.

"Oh it is, for me," Ink chirped.

"Idiot..." Error managed to say as Ink dusted him, for once in his life not playing around.
"Mmmm... chocolate," Ink said swallowing Errors soul.

Ink moaned as his whole body hurt for a moment, his eyes closed.

Error codes floated around him, phantom tentacles behind him before vanishing.

A giggle fled his mouth, a smile lit his face.

"Almost there," Ink cried, for a moment he'd felt.
"One more, and I know who!" Ink said, opening an ink portal again.

Blue was getting more and more worried, Papy was getting more and more weary and his HP dropping and his magic almost gone. Nothing he could do would get his brother to stop, even though he could tell the kid would reset soon and he'd be restored.

A splash, and the scent of Ink filled the air.
"Ink?" Blue said looking around, and froze when he spotted his friend.
Ink was...
Just wrong.

The others bone seemed to pulse, and his magic felt sickly.

If he had a stomach Blue would have made sick.

"Oh... a genocide," Ink said spotting Papy.

"Can you help him?" Papyrus said cradling Blues fragile soul.

"Oh course!" Ink said smiling that wrong wrong smile.

"Papyrus no! Keep him away!" Blue screamed as everything in him screamed in terror.

But it was too late, ink had his hands on his soul.

"I was expecting it to taste like tacos." Ink said swallowing it "Mmm.. Blueberry cobbler."

Darkness claimed Blue.

"Blue!" Carrot screamed in horror, and no not that Horror.

Ink gagged and his body seemed to warp, his eyes becoming familiar starry blues specked with gold, teary eye marks under his eyes with glitchy symbols around his body. Inky tentacles seemed to rip out of his back, then he began to laugh with a voice that was glitching and warping.

"I can feel, finally..." Ink cried.

"Give my brother back!" Carrot screamed, grabbing hold of Ink and shaking.

Ink stared at him, then dusted him without care and allowed the soul to shatter.

He continued to laugh.

"He still isn't responding," a voice said.

"it would be traumatizing to be murdered and your soul eaten by one you absolutely trusted," a glitchy voice responded.

Blue was floating in an endless black.

"Blue hasn't woken up," the first said.

"It was a genocide route Ink walked into, at least we can peek now and then to whats going on," the glitchy one said.

"Papy!" Blue screamed, as reality slammed him back to wakefulness.

"Blue," Error said, on the ground a non-moving Dream lay where a passive Nightmare tried to comfort him.

"What happened, INK ate my soul," Blue cried in terror.

"The squid went insane in his quest for emotions, he killed and ate Dreams soul first, then myself. He then caused a trail of destruction, before taking Error's soul," Nightmare said scowling.

"Then.. he took mine..." Blue whispered tearfully "What is this place?"

"Probably a representation of where Inks soul suppose to be, where our souls are taken when swallowed," Nightmare hissed "I'm going to rip his body apart!"

"It looks like the save screen, specially since we have a screen that allows outside sight sometimes," Error said, clearly just as angry and upset as Nightmare.

"Save screen?" Blue and Nightmare asked confused.

"Its nothing," Error said waving them away, but from the expression on his face it was clearly something.

"Ink... no," Dream cried, having come around a bit more and staring at the screen where Ink was happily killing innocents.

"This is wrong..." Blue cried.

"I had no idea he was so strong, he had me in seconds," Nightmare said unhappily.

"I did," Error said disgruntled, knowing the creator could only be slowed never defeated in truth.

"What... if we all try to stop him?" Blue asked softly.

"How so?" Dream asked golden tears slipping down his face, as he sobbed.

"He defeated us all, he ate our souls. Lets work together... he can't fight us when he.... so graciously invited us in," Blue said.

"Well now, that I can agree to," Nightmare said with a wicked grin, which looked a bit weird in his passive form.

"I agree," Error responded.

Dream looked down at his hands, idly wiping away his tears.

"I thought we were friends, I'm in," Dream replied sadly.

"Now, how to do this..." Blue said frowning.

"The screen," Error finally said, they all stared at it then moved to touch it.

Ink had never realized how he enjoyed peoples screams and the feel of there dust on his bones, feeling emotions was wonderful. Mind he could do without the bloated feeling, but eh was sure that woudl pass.

Suddenly he started gagging, and threw up Ink.

"Stupid souls, stop protesting," he snarled angrily.

He shrieked incredible pain went through his body, goopy ink began to cover more of his body.

"Really Inky, eating Souls are never a good idea," a voice said, through his mouth.

Ink covered his mouth in shock, that was Errors voice.

"You took all of us... and that means our stolen emotions and powers are here also," Nightmare hissed.

"I trusted you ink.." Dream whispered.

"Stop it," Ink said angrily, but his mouth moved again.

"Sorry not Sorry," Blue said, his voice firm.

Inks body began to bloat and warp and mutate out of control with the stolen souls and powers.

"No.... no... there mine!" Ink screamed.

"Squid, you unlocked the door and shoved us inside yourself," Error laughed.

"Goodbye my friend," Dream whispered, and Ink felt tears slip down his face.

The world exploded.

"Ow..." Blue cried feeling dizzy.

"I don't feel so good," Dream said.

"We better have won," Nightmare scowled, they were in the black area again minus the screen.

"We did, otherwise they wouldn't be here," error said pointing to the 'ground'

A golden reset button floated between the four of them.

"A reset button?" Dream asked.

"No, the multiverse True Reset button... we press that and the multiverse will reset back to its last save which was a few days ago," Error explained.

"Wouldn't that bring Ink back?" Nightmare asked confused.

"No.. he corrupted his code to badly, people will remember him but after that day people will think he died," Error continued on.

"Will there be a new creator?" Blue asked confused.

"Hopefully not for awhile, not till the balance it more stable," Error told Blue.

"Papy... I need to get back to him," Blue softly said.

"We all have to go back," Dream replied.

"Will we remember?" Nightmare asked curious.

"As long as we all press it we will," Error said.

"See you a few days ago," Blue said with a beaming smile.
"Lets do it right this time," Dream said also smiling, as four beings activated a True Reset.

White...

Blue woke with a start, looking about wildly.

Was it only a dream.

Ta tah tahhhh!

His cellphone, he quickly flipped it open to read the incoming text.

Error: Everything reset correctly, get some rest

Blue stared at the message and sighed, so... Ink going insane wasn't some horrible dream.

He slipped out of bed and left his room, and slipped into his brothers and climbed in next to him.

"Bro?" carrot said sleepily.

"Night Papy.." Blue said, and feeling safer fell back to sleep.
Carrot smiled and hugged his brother, joining him in sleep.

Tattoo like markings briefly glimmered into sight on Blues bones, then fading.

There was always a balance.
