I hope you guys know that I will always throw a ship into these because I'm that weird >w<
Temmie was walking along in the Ruins, enjoying her day like she usually did. The barrier had been broken earlier that day, and monsterkind would go free soon and make peace with humanity. The residents of the Underground just had to pack up their things and prepare to move them up to their soon-to-be-new homes on the surface.
What surprised the catdog was when they saw Frisk, saviour of monsters and the eighth fallen human, walk out of the first room with tears streaming down their face and their head looking towards the ground. They looked miserable. "Hooman sad?" Temmie asked. They looked up to see the optimistic monster wanting to help. They shook it off and smiled through their tears. "Nah. I'm just fine, Tem. Don't worry. Hey, think about it. Soon you can go to cool leg on the surface!"
Temmie vibrated excitedly. "Yaya!! Tem want go to surface cool leg!! Weeee!!" Frisk laughed and bent down to pet her. "There's the smile. See you later, Temmie!" they called as they left. Temmie looked back with a cheerful smile. "Hooman so nice to Tem. Hooman nice to everyone. Hooman is best."
She heard a dust sound, and her cat ears stood on end. Dust?! She ran towards the first room to see if whoever that sound came from was okay, and turned to see a little yellow flower, his head down, crying to himself. He appeared to be sad — Temmie decided to change that. Temmie wanted everyone to be happy and smiling! "Hoi!" she called. The flower turned around. "Huh? Temmie?" he said. He turned his back to her again. "Go away, idiot. Just go live your happy life on the surface and leave me here to suffer in peace. Go have your happy ending, and leave me out of it."
Temmie rushed over and sat next to the flower. "What your name?" she asked, ignoring his spiteful remark. He groaned. "Flowey. My name is Flowey. Not like it matters, we're never going to see each other again after today anyway." Temmie rubbed her head against his cheek. "No be sad! Tem will be friends with Floe and help make Floe happy!" she said cheerfully. Flowey rolled his eyes, unaffected. "Why are you doing this? Why do you care? I've done nothing but cause pain. I don't deserve kindness."
Temmie bumped her head against his again. "No say that! Everyone deserve love! Even Floe! Now, Temmie want know. How Floe gon get to surface if Floe have no feet?" Flowey was beginning to look irritated. "I'm not going to the surface, Temmie. Just leave me alone. Go be happy, and just forget about me." Temmie shook her head stubbornly. "No! Tem no leave Floe alone to cry! Tem be right back, okie Floe?" she chirped. Flowey sighed again. "Take your time, I could use the peace and quiet," he grumbled. Temmie giggled cutely and ran out of the room eagerly.
She ran through the Ruins, past Frisk, through Snowdin, then Waterfall, into Temmie Village, past Bob and into the Tem Shop. She put a bag of gold onto the table. "Tem buy dis!" she said to the shopkeeper, pointing her paw at a two little dove Christmas ornaments. "Yaya! Tem will give dis to Tem for... 100G!!" Temmie only had 93g. "Tem wait for Tem here! Mus get more muns!" She ran out of the shop and up to Bob. "Hoi Bob!!" she said. Bob looked at her, a bit confused but still cheerful. "Hi Temmie! Anything you need help with?"
Temmie nodded. "Can Tem borrow 7g from Bob? Need buy something for new fren in Tem Shop!" Bob shrugged and took out a bag of gold, passing his less intelligent friend the 7g she asked for. "No need to pay me back, it's free just this once," he said with a small chuckle. Temmie picked up the gold, bumped her head softly against Bob's and ran back to the shop. "Thank, Bob!!" she called back. "No problem!" he shouted.
Temmie put the extra gold on the counter. "Tem have enough muns now! Gives doves plz?" she asked. The Shop Tem nodded. "Yaya! Tem can have doves now!" She wrapped the doves in paper, slid them over the counter to her customer and put the gold in her cash register. Temmie vibrated excitedly. "Thank!! Must go now, new fren need me!" She took the doves and ran off, holding them tightly and carefully the whole way back to the Ruins.
Flowey was still waiting there when she got back. He looked semi-patient. He felt her running footsteps through the ground and looked over to see her holding a ball of wrapped-up packing paper in her mouth. She ran over and gently set it in front of the flower, but he looked confused. "And what am I supposed to do with this...?" he asked, surprisingly not sounding sarcastic. Temmie giggled a bit. "Is gift for Floe! Unwrap, silly!" Flowey rolled his eyes and blushed. "I knew that." He unwrapped the paper.
"Doves? Why doves?" he asked a little quietly. Temmie smiled. "White dove are symbol of frenship. If Tem keep one, and Floe keep one, we always be frens, no matter what!" Flowey looked surprised. He seemed to be having a flashback. Then, he actually smiled. Then it was Temmie's turn to look surprised — his smile was so adorable!
"Thanks, Temmie," he said quietly. "You actually made a soulless flower happy. Good on you." Temmie smiled and kissed him on the cheek. "Tem luv Floe! Now, Tem must pack things for surface. Tem visit Floe same time, once a year?" Flowey smiled again, a blush crossing his face. "That sounds wonderful. I'll look forward to it. See you soon, Temmie." Temmie turned to leave the room, clasping her dove carefully. "One more thing!" Flowey called. "Hm?" Temmie said, turning around. Flowey was smiling brightly now.
"Love you too."
