Frisk X Asriel

(Requested by: chibibon)

"Now, children, please have fun while me and Sans go grocery shopping, goodbye!" Toriel called to Frisk and Asriel, who were sitting on the couch in the living area.

"see ya, kiddos." Sans said, closing the door behind him and the boss monster.

A hush filled the room between the human and monster.

It felt like a void of painful silence opened between the duo, as they waited for the other one to start the conversation.

Asriel looked over at Frisk. God had she grown since they were little. Her hair was now a well maintained bob with no uneven pieces like it was when she was young, she had huge, black-framed glasses that made her blue and green eyes pop, and the rest of her body had developed as well, but she still insisted on wearing her old sweater whenever it was clean.

Frisk caught his glance, cocking her head at him curiously. Asriel's cheeks grew warm as he turned his head away.

She pursed her lips together confused, "What was that look for?" She asked.

Asriel bit the inside of his cheek, "I was just....daydreaming." He lied, using his long fur on the top of his head to hide his face partially.

He didn't want to admit it, but he was pretty sure he had developed a crush on the human. He knew it was frowned down upon for a human and monster to be together, so he never said anything...but...his heart loved her...more than a friend.

Frisk shrugged it off, standing up from the couch and heading to the kitchen. She called back to him, standing in the frame of the kitchen doorway, "Azzy, do you want anything to eat?"

He cleared his throat, "No thanks! I'm not hungry!"

He heard Frisk laugh before replying with, "Oki dookie!" She then headed into the kitchen to get herself some food.

Asriel sighed as he watched her leave his sight. He didn't understand why she seemed so... perfect... but she did. In his eyes she was flawless... minus the fact that she threw a pun into a conversation here and there... curse that skeleton for spreading his humor.

He picked up the remote to the T.V. and flicked through the channels, not finding anything good on. He suddenly felt someone tapping his horn and turned around, to find Frisk sending him a teasing grin, holding a few carrot sticks in her other hand, while one was sticking out of her mouth.

His brows furrowed, "Hey! I thought you said you'd leave my horns alone!" he said, pouting out his lip like a child.

Frisk giggled, biting down and chewing the carrot stick before mischief began to glow in her eyes, as she began, "But they are so cool! Come'on, they even make you look pretty..." Her smile grew into one Asriel recognized all too well.

"Don't you dare-"

"Sharp."

Asriel froze emotionless for a good five seconds before he let out an aggravated yell, shouting, "FRISK, WHY!?" He said, throwing his arms up in the air.

She bit another carrot stick, "Why not purposes to be a better question." She said, slipping into her formal talk she used when she was being over-literal.

Asriel rolled his eyes, "You do realize how stupid puns are, right?"

Frisk shrugged, "Oh really? Because, I didn't think they were that baaaaaaa-d." She sent him her cheesy smile again.

Asriel narrowed his eyes at her, "Okay....THAT'S IT!" He quickly leaped over the couch, tackling Frisk, sending the carrot sticks flying, "TICKLE FIGHT!" He quickly went after her neck, knowing that it was the most ticklish.

Frisk squirmed and squealed under him, yelling at him to cut it out, until he eventually did, still leaving her pinned under his weight and out of breath.

"Let me go, Az!" Frisk yelled at him between breaths, still laughing, "this isn't fair, you're stronger tha--" She cut herself off, noticing his face was bright red,"...Azzy? Are you alright?"

Asriel had fifty different emotions hit him all at once, freezing him in place. 'What am I doing?' he asked himself, 'just, get off of her and move on like always.'  However, his muscles seemed to have a mind of their own, not allowing him to move, leaving him frozen like a statue.

Frisk frowned up at him confused, "Azzy?"

He shook his head, snapping from his odd trance, "Wh-what?"

"Can you...get off? Please?" Frisk said with a nervous waver in her voice, her eyes trailing to the side.

Asriel quickly pushed himself off, standing, "I-I'm sorry." He said quickly, his face only becoming redder, "I should pr-probably go to m-my room now," He said with a laugh between his stutter, "B-bye!"

He quickly began making his way out of the room, before he heard Frisk call after him, freezing him in place, "Asriel..." She said softly. He turned slowly, seeing a light blush on her cheeks, "is...is there something you want to tell me?"

He leaned against the door frame, trying to play it cool, even though on the inside his soul was buzzing at rocket speed. He chuckled, "pffft, what? No, I don't have anything I want to tell you."

Frisk looked towards him, cocking her head, her eyes serious behind he glass' frames, "Is there something you SHOULD tell me?"

His face started to heat up again as he realized he wasn't able to form words, ending up gawking at the girl sitting on the ground. He watched as Frisk got up, walking over to him, and getting uncomfortable close to his muzzle, causing him to crane his neck back.

"Well?" She asked, putting her hands on his chest.

He looked down at her, his soul felt like it was about to explode, "I-I....U-uh..." He stammered, a nervous sweat  appearing on his brow.

Her eyes half-lidded, "Do you like me?"

He gulped, his eyes shifting to the side. He was about to answer, when the human did something he didn't see coming in a thousand years.

She kissed him.

Her soft lips connected with his as she stood on her tip-toes to reach him, closing her eyes. The kiss itself was gentle and soft, and Asriel wished it could have lasted forever. However, to his dismay, she pulled away before he could even process how to react, leaving him stunned, his mouth slightly parted.

"F-frisk?" he began nervously, looking down at her wide-eyed.

Frisk smirked at him, "Hm?"

"Did you j-just-" He cut himself off, words not obeying his commands, leaving him with his mouth moving but no words leaving.

She giggled mischievously at him, "Yes, I did, you dork." She put her arms around his neck, "..and I like you too." She said softly, her warm breath tickling his muzzle.

He gave a nervous smile, stretching his arms around her hips, "So, if we're a thing now, guess I can call you m--"

"Hey, guys, I'm h--" Chara suddenly popped around the corner, their jacket half unzipped as they saw the duo embracing one another. "--ome..."

Frisk looked at Chara wide-eyed, realizing that she was so caught up with Asriel, she hadn't been alert for the door opening.

Asriel awkwardly stared at his adoptive sibling, a weird, embarrassed smile spreading on his cheeks.

Chara blinked, trying to process what they were seeing. "Um..." was all they seemed to manage to say.

Frisk immediately unwound herself from Asriel, her face bright red, "Heyyyy, Charaaa, didn't hear you come in, heh...heh..." She rocked on her feet, her face only growing even brighter from embarrassment.

Chara rolled their scarlet eyes, "I can tell... so... what even--" They let out an annoyed sigh, dragging their hand down their face, "I could care less if you two are... a thing... but..." They pinched the bridge of their nose in frustration, "you do realize, Toriel is going to kick your goat ass, and the comedian is going to loose his shit on Frisk, right?"

Both Frisk and Asriel awkwardly looked at their feet, knowing Chara was right.

Asriel then sighed looking up at Chara concerned, "But... you're okay with this?"

Chara laughed, "Azzy, you think I don't know you by now? I could tell you liked her." Chara winked at Frisk, causing the girl to scrunch her nose up at the gesture, "And to be fair, I honestly don't give two flying shits about your teenage romance. I'm just saying, you both are so dead as soon as 'you know who' finds out that you're together."

Asriel and Frisk sighed in unison, their shoulders sagging, "We know..."

Chara shook their head at them, leaning against the wall, laughing a little, "Well, I was gonna ask if you guys wanted to go out and get nicecream with me... but, I get it if you don't want to now."  They shrugged their shoulders, giving the impression that they didn't mind either way.

Asriel looked to Frisk, who nodded up at him smiling, gesturing to Chara. Asriel returned his gaze to his sibling, "You know what, Chara... we'll go, it'll be fun!"

Chara gave him a playfully grin, "That works for me... just don't be doing any of that gross lovey dovey stuff, mkay?" They said with a light laugh.

Frisk sighed, laughing as well, as Asriel made fish lips at Chara. Chara walked over, playfully bopping his snout, before turning on their heels, and heading towards the door, Frisk and Asriel following close behind.

It turned out, that nicecream could always make even the oddest days, a little sweeter.

Hiya! Turtle here! I hoped you liked it, even though the ending kind of was... empty... but, after my chapter deleted itself, I became rushed to get it out... I may come back later if I can remember the ending I had before.

TURTLE, OUT!
