Angels and Demons
The original idea of this is kinda spoiling, so I'll show it at the end plus the image. So just enjoy the story.
A warm shaft of light penetrates the sanctuary. The sleeping skeleton slowly blinks awake, stretching his arms, legs, and wings. He opens his eye sockets, smiling at the sanctuary.
"I w0nd3r wh3r3 Ink is!" (I wonder where Ink is!) He got to his feet, looking at his wings, nodding when he was sure the wings were in good condition.
"I'm g0nna g0 find him!" (I'm gonna go find him!) He slowly leaves the room, taking one last glance at his room. The room, designed by Ink, is gold and blue in color, with bookshelves and art supplies aplenty. Ink had stored every possible ounce of knowledge and creativity in the room's space, allowing the skeleton with wings to learn and understand so many things.
"I promise you this, E̶̷̵̲̞̠̟͌͘͘r̶̷̸̡̲͓̐͌͝ŕ̶̷̸̡̲̦̞̾̔ó̶̷̸̲̠͇̓͆r̶̷̸̲̺̙͐̈́͘, you'll never need to fear the outside world with me around." He shivers in delight at the memory of Ink's promise.
"Ink mad3 m3 a pr0mis3! H3 w0uld n3v3r br3ak a pr0mis3!" (Ink made me a promise! He would never break a promise!) The bed is the centerpiece of the room, blue and gold sheets and blankets and pillows all resting gently. There is a soft silky curtain of gold and blue coming down from the ceiling. The curtain is mostly see-through, but the beauty of the room is ethereal.
"Tim3 t0 g0 find Ink." (Time to go find Ink.) The skeleton wanders through the hallways, closing his eyes and sensing for Ink. He finds the room, pausing as he feels dozens of other souls in the room.
"..." He opts to listen through the door for the time being, getting close but hiding his magical power.
"Ink...we understand you want to take down this Destroyer but...is he even really that dangerous? Nobody else has even seen him aside from you." This voice is soft, gentle, and hesitant. He likes this voice.
"So? That shouldn't change how you feel. Destruction of these innocent AUs is an evil action and should be ended. I've already tried to befriend him! It has failed." His eye sockets widen as he recognizes the voice of his best friend, Ink.
"H3...w0uldn't d0 that t0 an inn0c3nt p3rs0n...I kn0w...I kn0w him..." (He...wouldn't do that to an innocent person...I know...I know him...)
"Ink...I still don't like this plan. Maybe we can just capture him! Find out what he wants from destruction! He has to have a good reason! And if he doesn't have a good reason...then we've already got him captured! So he can't hurt anybody else!" He doesn't know this voice, but he likes this voice, the excitable yet friendly tone comforting after Ink's initial sentence. Ink dramatically groans.
"Trust me, I've tried everything. Nothing works aside from death." He shivers in response to Ink's icy reply, closing his eyes and hugging himself, his wings wrapping around to comfort.
"I say we end him fer good! He's just a mindless destroyer! Ink said it himself!" This voice grates against his skull. He reaches up to his skull, slowly dragging his fingers down, leaving a scratch that wouldn't fade.
"Now, Fell. I'm all for ending the Destroyer, but I want to see for myself who he is and if he is really a mindless destroyer." The shivering skeleton blinks, confused when he feels ocean blue tears run down his cheeks. He likes this voice. An air of authority, demanding respect, demanding to be heard.
"I w0nd3r wh0 th3 d3str0y3r is." (I wonder who the destroyer is.)
"Hey, you." He freezes, not recognizing the voice as he turns to look at the person who caught him. A skeleton with bones as white as snow, and an outfit like the starry world of 'Outertale' was standing there, staring at him.
"Who are you? And what are you doing here? And how did you even GET here?" The skeleton began to shake, feeling like he was about to barf.
"I-i l-liv3 h3r3! I-Ink t-tak3s c-car3 0f m3!" (I-i live here! I-Ink t-takes c-care of me!) The starry skeleton smiles, helping the shaking skeleton to his feet, watching the wings.
"Are you a BirdTale Sans?"
"B-birdtal3? Ink n3v3r t0ld m3 that AU...what is it lik3?" (B-birdtale? Ink never told me that AU...what is it like?) The starry skeleton frowns, tilting his head.
"Wait...have you never left this place?"
"I hav3. But 0nly with Ink! Ink is my pr0t3ct0r! H3 k33ps m3 s4f3 fr0m 3v3ry0n3 wh0 wants t0 hurt m3. Ink says th3y'd want t0 tak3 my wings." (I have. But only with Ink! Ink is my protector! He keeps me safe from everyone who wants to hurt me. Ink says they'd want to take my wings.) The starry skeleton's frown deepens at this reveal.
"Well...my name is Outer. What is yours?"
"3rr0r! Th0ugh Ink calls m3 Ruru. Says it is cut3r." (Error! Though Ink calls me Ruru. Says it is cuter.) Outer nods, opening the door.
"Let's get you to Ink, kay?" Error nods, following Outer through the door as Outer leads him to the meeting table where Ink stands at the head. All eye sockets have been trained on Error since Outer and he walked in. Error shivers slightly, focusing on Ink, who looks...upset.
"OH HELLO!" Error jumps, wincing as a loud and excitable, yet familiarly friendly voice speaks.
"0-0h..h-h3ll0." (O-oh...h-hello.) The source of the voice is a skeleton Error has been taught about. Blueberry, Blue, or more realistically known as the Sans of UnderSwap, though he fills the Papyrus role. This skeleton wears a battlebody, a blue bandana, and has blue eyelights. Hence why his nickname is Blue.
"Are you...afraid of loud sounds?" Error shakes his head.
"N-n0! Y-y0u just...caught m3 0ff-guard. That's all." (N-no. Y-you just...caught me off-guard. That's all.) Blue smiles happily, closing his eye sockets. He opens his mouth to respond, Ink cutting him off.
"Error. What are you doing here?" Ink frames it with a happy tone, but Error shivers, recognizing the unsaid parts. What are you doing outside your room?
"W-w3ll-" (W-well-)
"You know how I feel about the glitching."
"R-right. S-sorry. W-well. I woke up...and you weren't there. So I left the room to look for you!" Ink steps away from the throne that looks uncomfortably like human bones, walking closer to Error, gently rubbing the wings, Error shivering in response.
"Remember what I said, Ruru. You can't trust them. I may trust them with many things, but not with you." Ink leans down, whispering now.
"They want your wings. They'll hurt you after giving you all the reason to trust them. The only one you can trust is me, Ruru." Ink pulls away, smiling lovingly at Error.
"Let's get you back to your-"
"Ink...what did you just say to Error?" Error looks at the new speaker, finding someone Ink's never shown to him.
"Dream. Why do you need to know?"
"He had a massive spike of negativity after what you said. I need to know what you're telling him." Ink begins to respond, but Error gasps and grasps at his hand, wincing, flashes of...something...coming to him.
"Error! You promised to train me today! Me and Dream! You promised!"
"That I did. V3ry w3ll. Try t0 catch m3. If y0u win, I'll giv3 y0u 0n3 thing, anything y0u want." (That I did. Very well. Try to catch me. If you win, I'll give you one thing, anything you want.)
"Yes! We'll catch you!"
Laughter...and Dream...Why do I remember you Dream? And who was that other voice?
"You remember me?" Error blinks.
"Did I say that outloud?"
"Yes...you did..." A portal opens, Ink cussing loudly under his breath as purple and cyan colored angel walks through the portal.
"Error! Thank Fate and Destiny I found you!" Error tilts his head, looking between Ink and this newcomer, feeling a pull to this one.
"Nightmare."
"Dream, you are a back burner issue. Error is the first thing I need to help. Do you remember me?"
"Nightmare! You're not playing fair!"
"Actually h3 is. D3m0ns w0n't play fair. S0 whil3 w3 w0n't trad3 liv3s, w3 d0 hav3 t0 b3 pr3par3d t0 play unfair in 0rd3r t0 win." (Actually he is. Demons won't play fair. So while we won't trade lives, we do have to be prepared to play unfair in order to win.)
"Yeah Dream. Especially ever since their new leader ascended into control."
"What was that leader's name?"
"Ink." Error's response silences all feelings of happiness, joy, and peace in the area nearby.
"An angel who fell."
"That liar is why we can't play fair anymore."
"If you see him. Kill him on sight. Do not try to talk to him. He wishes to destroy our balance for his own fun. He's selfish." Error begins walking away from Nightmare and Dream.
"He's a perfect demon."
Error pants, gasping for air as tears form in his sockets.
"Ink..."
"What, Ruru? Speak up."
"Y0u...li3d t0 m3....y0u said ang3ls w3r3 d3ad...that my wings w0uld b3 tak3n fr0m m3...that I was hunt3d and y0u sav3d m3...but y0u...y0u'r3 a d-" (You...lied to me...you said angels were dead...that my wings would be taken from me...that I was hunted and you saved me...but you...you're a d-)
"A demon. Yes. And you were the reason I did all of this. But I see now. Ruru." Ink grabs Error's skull tightly, spiderweb cracks running from his hand.
"If I can't have you, NOBODY WILL!"
A flash of light slams into the room, blinding everyone.
Oh...Zazriel...I'm sorry it took us so long to find and save you...
But know this, our eldest child, we will not allow Ink to harm you anymore.
"When will he wake up?"
"I don't know. That Light was Fate and Destiny. They rushed in and saved him."
"What does that mean?"
"He could be asleep for weeks, months, years, or decades before waking up. Our luckiest estimate is one week."
"If I knew..."
"Ink fooled everyone with that. He got it off of Error...or Zazriel's longtime rival."
"Who?"
"XGaster."

Save: Twenty-Seventh: FGOD Story idea where Ink lies about what he and Error are. (See Image.) Bonus Points if Error doesn't know he's a destroyer and is kept in the Doodle Sphere because Ink doesn't want anyone finding out the Fearsome Destroyer is actually an adorable Angel by the name of Zazriel
