*not a request but it was a little something that I thought of, and everyone loves it when I write about his goopy butt. :3

You had a big grin on your face, today you were going to see your dreamy boyfriend! He was so sweet to you, he treated you well, but he wasn't as touchy feely as you had hoped..

You walked into the shared castle and went I to the throne room, seeing the King of Nightmares sitting lazily in his throne, he opened his good eye and waved at you lazily.

You waved back with your free hand, while your other was behind your back. "Heya nightmares, where's dream?"

Nightmare shrugged. "In his room, he was acting a bit weird this morning. Good luck."

You nodded and thanked him, before turning right down Dream's hallway, the warm sunny yellow walls made you smile, all of the suns painted on the walls made you feel happy inside.

Dream's door was open and his back was to you, his arms were crossed.

You ran up and hugged him from behind, making him flinch slightly. "Heya sunny! I've got a little something for you."

Dream pulled out of the hug and looked down at you sadly. "Y/n, hold that thought. Listen.. We've got to talk."

Your smile had fallen at the sides, what was happening? What's wrong with him?

"Dreamy, is everything okay?" You ask, getting more worried as time went on.

He shook his head as he put his hands on your shoulders. "Y/n, I thought we had a connection.. But it seems that we've grown apart. I'm sorry to say this, but I'm afraid that its over."

"...w-what?" You mumble tears threatening to fall.

"Y/n, I'm sorry. But I must return to my duty's." He says with a sigh, as he went through a golden portal, leaving you alone.

You gasped and started to cry, dropping Dream's gift, making it shatter on the floor, you ran out of his room and out past the throne room, startling Nightmare as you ran passed him crying your eyes out.

He sat up from his throne confused, what happened? You were so happy just a second ago, but now you're a crying mess.

He walked down into Dreams hall, and into his room, he didn't see his twin, all he saw was a broken crown sitting on the floor.

He bent down and gently picked it up, it was bent from hitting the floor so hard, the crystal sun in the middle of it was cracked a few pieces missing.

He sighed and tucked it into his coat, then he walked out of the room to search for you.

It didn't take him to long to find you, surprisingly he found you bundled up under his bed sheets, crying into the ink stained pillows.

He felt horrible seeing you like this, he knew he had to do something.

He set the broken crown on his dresser, then he sat at the end of the bed, one of his tendrils rubbed your back gently.

Your crying had calmed to just small sniffles.

"What's wrong? You were so happy a little while ago, what's got you down? You know you can talk to me." Nightmare says in his calming baritone voice.

You sigh and sit up, the covers wrapped around your shoulders as you scooted over to the goopy nightmare, wrapping your arms around him, your face buried into the back of his hood.

"D-dream.. Broke up with me.."

"He. What!?"

You nod quietly into his back trying to hold back more tears from falling.

He quickly turns and pulls you into a warm embrace, wrapping all of his tendrils around you, along with his arms.

You sobbed into his chest, soaking his shirt but he didn't care, he just held you as close as he could, trying to help with your aching heart.

It took a while for you to calm down, but you ended up passing out in his arms, to which he didn't mind, face blushing a light purple, he laid on his side, resting his skull on top of your head.

"...shh it'll be alright my aching queen, I'll always be there for you when you need me. F*ck dream, he can go to Horrortale for all I care, he didn't deserve you anyway." He whispers, pulling you closer.

"..I have died everyday waiting for you, and now I finally have you my sweet, beautiful queen." He confesses hoping that you dont head him.

"I love you." He says before kissing your cheek then falling asleep soundly while holding you.

You smiled in your sleep, you had heard everything he had said, and you kissed above his non nose, before nuzzling your face into his neck, then falling asleep.
