Geno X reader.

*Not a request but this is kind of based off of true event's that had me upset for a while but I thought writing about it would help.

*Warning feels and some sad moments, if you don't want to read about something sad, please wait for my next update.

Have you ever had a crush on someone and you knew that they liked you back but... You never got a chance to tell them about your feelings? And neither did they because they were so shy?

And yet so were you.

And you never got to see them again for two years? Except for that one time during the summer breeze, and it was only for a short time.. then after that they never even tried to contact you.

You didn't understand why he wouldn't try and talk to you, he even had your number once, and yet only called you once.

And your monster friend Geno stayed around, he would text you all the time, he could tell by your short responses that something was troubling you.

He would visit you once a week and every time he did, he cheered you up and made you laugh.

Except once, he knew who your crush was, and even told you how that crush was doing, Geno even asked him why your crush wouldn't talk to you and your crush didn't say a thing.

Geno said that your crush wouldn't talk to his friends anymore or anyone outside of his house, he just stayed inside and kept quiet.

It made you mad and confused. You just didn't understand why he was being so distant.. you and him used to be so close.. it was like that day in the summer was his last goodbye to you. 

Even if he said he'd see you later you didn't see him again for two years.. today.

You sat on your bed head in your arms.. it may have been stupid to some people to cry over a crush, but it's hard to get over someone who stuck up for you, someone who made you laugh when you had a bad day.

You suddenly hear a knock on your door.. it was probably Geno again..

"It's.. open.."

The door opens and there stood Geno, his hands in his pockets. "y/n? Are you alright? I haven't heard from you in a while."

You sigh and look away from him.

"I'm fine.. just.."

"Thinking of him again?" Geno says his half smile falling, he warps next to you and takes you into his arms.

Your dams finally break and you start crying into his chest.

He brings you closer and runs his phalanges through your hair.

You both sat like this for a while.. until Geno broke the silence.

"You don't need him you know, he wasn't good for you. He doesn't deserve your tears."

Your eyes meet his and he puts a skeleton hand on your cheek wiping the tears away, he plants a kiss on your nose.

".. you've still got me even after these years.." he smiles shyly apple red blush returning to his cheeks.

Your crying stops..  it was strange it was like the feeling hanging around your heart had disappeared, and was replaced with butterflies.. wait.. were you too foolish to realise that Geno had been here all along?

Had you fallen for the wrong guy?

Geno looks into your eyes and leans in pressing his teeth to your lips.

Your heart fluttered as you slowly kissed him back.

Perhaps it was true, friends come and go, while the loyal ones stay by your side through thick and thin.
