(Y/N) POV
'3/4 cup of milk, but I'm making triple so I'll need 2 1/4 cups' I grabbed the measuring cups and measured it out putting it in with the wet bowls. I had this recipe memorized by heart. A sweet but simple chocolate chip cookie cake recipe. I smiled as the batter mixed, using the Two-part method, I added the dry to the wet and made sure it was the right consistency. Easily pouring the batter in to the cookie cake molds, I placed them in the oven.
'Now we wait for 25 minutes.' I nodded to myself. I hear the bell to my bakery chime, meaning costumers!
"Hello and welcome to Heavens Delights, how may I help you today?" I smile and look who entered. Two skeletons, one had a red sweater and a golden tooth. The other had a golden heart shaped necklace and a black and white scarf.
"We need a dozen cupcakes." The red one spoke roughly and he sounded rather pissed. I giggle,
"Alrighty then, but ya know? I absolutely hate how upset you are sounding right now..." I place my finger to my chin in thought.
"What the hell did you just-" I tunes him out as he went on a rant. I snapped my fingers and went to the kitchen, grabbing two freshly made Christmas cookies. When I came back the skeleton was still yelling, I shoved the decorated cookies towards the two.
"On the house!" I giggle. The red skeleton looked at me like I was insane, but still took the cookie. The other grabbed his like he was worried there was a bomb inside. Red glared and took a bite out of the cookie as I started to ring them up. I smiled as his face completely changed.
"Holy crap this is good!" He said. I laugh softly.
"Well, I didn't name my bakery Heavens Delights for no reason." I brag. This bakery is my pride and joy, I have the right to brag about it.
"Anyways, 15:42 is your total, I'll be getting to cupcakes." I went to the kitchen, grabbing a box on the way. I gently place the dozen cupcakes into the box, making sure the frosting wasn't damaged. I gently closed the lid and walked back. I headed back out and placed the box on the counter. Red smiled and grabbed the box while the other handed me the money.
"Come again won't you?" I said. They waved and I went to take out the cookie cakes.
- Three week time skip-
Cross, I had learned his name awhile back, had been visiting my bakery every day. At this point he didn't even have to tell me his order, I had it ready as soon as he walked in. Today was different though, he seemed more 'blushy'...
"Hey Cross!" I smiled as he walked in. His cheek flushed a light red hue on them.
"Hey, (Y/N)." He said. He smiled softly as I set my next timer.
"The usual?" I asked, he seemed off so I hoping that he would at least keep something the same.
"Actually, I was getting curious, don't you take a day off?" He asked watching me.
"Well, I usually take Saturdays off, but these past weeks have been hectic with online orders and call ins, I haven't really had the time." I explained, another regular entered and I have her order ready, she traded me with her money.
"Have a nice day!" I smiled, before returning to Cross. He blushed.
"You, uh, you have icing on your face..." his red hue becoming brighter. I wiped my cheek seeing icing on my hand.
"Oh geez.." I giggled at myself. He chuckled and looked at me again.
"So, um do you, have this Saturday off?" I thought for a moment before turning to my colorful calendar, certain marks marking day that sweets are due, but none were due this Saturday.
"Yep, completely free." I answered him. He seemed relieved. He pulled up a single blue rose. His blush darkened again.
"Then, would you wanna, I guess... go out with me?" He clenched his eyes shut, obviously expecting a no, and me being the prankster I am deciding to make him squirm for 24 hours. Today's Thursday, so this plan will work.
"Oh, um... I don't know Cross. Let me think about it, come in tomorrow, I have decided then." He seemed shocked.
"Oh, uh, ok I understand.." he said as he handed me the rose. He smiled softly and walked out. My heart clenched, he seemed sad. But I smirked and got to work.
- Time skip to tomorrow.-
I had recruited my friends to make the bakery really busy, so I would just give Cross his cookie and move on to the next costumer. At the usual time he walked in and seemed shocked at how busy the place was.
"Oh hey Cross, sorry I'm a bit busy at the moment. Here have a cookie and wait for a little bit." I said handing him the cookie. I went back to 'get everyone's orders' and by that I mean watch Cross's reaction. He looked around and sighed. He sat down at on of the tables and bit into the cookie. He face was one of confusion when his found something that wasn't cookie.
Cross POV
I sat down and looked around. Of course everyone would come in today. I looked at the cookie she gave me, she's so sweet. I like watching her bake things, she gets so excited. (Y/N)'s smile is what gets me through my day. I took a bite out of the cookie. I found a piece of paper in the part I didn't eat. What's this? I carefully pulled it out and it had her hand writing on it. 'Love you too, Cross. Can you be here at 6 tomorrow?" I about died then and there. I knew she liked to pull pranks but that messed with my emotions! I sighed and smiled softly, looks like I got a date at six.
