Holding A Grudge

TWO chapters in ONE day!? I'm on a roll! :D

Google grinned as he watched Marvin appear in front of Anti and punched him across the face. Anti grunted and stumbled back but didn't fall. He leveled his footing and charged back, using his electricity as a defense.

Marvin snarled, resisting the urge to hiss. He couldn't look Anti in the eye.

He knew this might be wrong but he couldn't let the others know what he had done.

That it was all his fault.

It was just easier for Anti to take the blame.

Google wanted to see all of it happen when suddenly, a man from behind him, flung him around and punched him clean in the jaw, knocking him down on the floor of the roof.

The android glared up at the man and stuttered in his movements, "You-you . . .. think that can-can stop me?! I know who you-you are!"

Jackie huffed at him, "Give me the glove, Google. Now. This doesn't have to go this way"

Google just smirked, though, "Doesn't it, though? What better way to get back at everyone than to kill them all?"

Jackie wasn't expecting this, really. When he figured out it was Google, he didn't think the Iplier android had it in him to go to such lengths. And what problems did he have, he wondered.

"Google, just relax. You're gonna bust your hard-drive." Jackie tried to seem calm but Google's eyes went red.

"I wonder how they'd all feel if they knew who you were. What you've been doing."

Jackie frowned but of course the android couldn't tell, "I don't care. Google, you can't destroy the city. If you do, you'll go down with it. The glove is too strong"

"I know" he chuckled, "But it's fine to me. As long as my primary objective is met"

"Uh" Jackie didn't know how to respond to that. Google was willing to just end himself as long as he hurt others, "Why?"

"Why not? They all deserve it. Treating me like a slave! They don't do that to Bing! Why me!? It's not fair-fair!" Google contradicted his words with a grin, "But-but it can wait . . . I'll tear-tear you apart myself first. And I want to see the glitch suffer-suffer"

Jackie was all too aware of Marvin and Anti's fight but he couldn't do anything about that at the moment. Not with Google before him all too close to ending everyone's lives.

And it didn't seem as if the Iplier egos were going to help any time soon. Dark was probably trying to explain to the human staff workers what the hell was going on and how' he'd pay for the damages

Anti dodged Marvin's next attack, glitching his knife into his hand, swinging.

Marvin grasped Anti's hands with his own and they were locked in a stand-still, struggling against each other's weight.

Anti's eyes glowed and his body sparked, raging like a storm on the surface of his skin, "How's that sushi settling on your stomach, Queeny?! Huh!? Good thing I had a fucking heart and let you into my fucking home!"

"Shut up!" Marvin hissed at him.

"Fuck you! I trusted that damn cat, you bastard!"

"Shut. Up!"

Chase kept his gun trained on Anti just in case he had to shoot to help his brother, "What's he talking about, Marv? That's not the first time he said something like that!"

"Ooo~! Didn't tell them, I see! Do they also know you're afraid of thunderstorms?! Do they know how I held you in my arms and pet you and you fucking PURRED, pussy cat?!"

Marvin lunged to bite Anti's neck but the glitch shocked him, making him lunged backwards away from the attack.

Before he could attack again, Henrik stopped, "Vhat the hell is he-"

"It's nothing! He's fucking insane, Hen! He doesn't- UGH! Where's Jackie, Anti!? Huh!? How about that!?"

Anti didn't like that question. How was HE supposed to know?!

In the back of his mind, he figured that maybe it was possible he did but he repressed it, forcing the thoughts down.

"Yeah!" Chase shouted, "You're controlling him, aren't you!? Where is your little puppet?! Don't want to bring him out to play?!"

Henrik watched the reactions, though, not one for antagonizing the issue at hand.

Anti seemed confused, "What are you talking about!? If I knew where that bastard was, I'd kill him where he stands just the same as I would all of you! I don't know where that fucking lunatic is!"

"Fucking rich coming from you!" Marvin huffed, "You're the lunatic who's been trying to kill us all since the beginning!"

"And YOU'RE the lunatic who sells magical weapons and drugs on a black market site!"

"You're still doing zhat?" Henrik asked.

" . . . . Not since Jackie recently destroyed my entire supply. Probably on HIS orders!"

"What the hell are you on about?! Stop lying!" Anti shouted at him, "At least I don't fucking lie! I don't manipulate people like that for my own benefit! You just don't want everyone to know that this is probably all YOUR fault!"

Suddenly something caught Anti's eye and he looked up towards the roof of the building.

He was certainly shocked but also happy, "Bl-blood-streak!?"

Jackie evidently had heard him and the others seemed to have followed his eyes. Only Henrik was confused on who the man in the black and red suit was.

Anti shouted towards him, watching as he dodged Google's attacks, "Blood-streak, what are you doing here!? Why are you-"

"Saving your ass AGAIN! WHAT'S IT LOOK LIKE!?"

Anti wasn't in the right state of mind to realize who Blood-streak really was and at that moment, he really didn't care. He was just happy he was there. He smiled.

"I'll kill you, you little!-"

"Marvin, vait!"

But Marvin was past listening to anyone else and cast a spell at Anti, throwing him down.

Marvin stood over him, hate in his eyes as his spell worked just as well as before, causing him nothing but pain. Anti clenched his jaw tight but he was losing it, trembling as if he were going to have a seizure.

The magician slowly grinned down at him, "This is what you deserve for all the pain you've caused everyone"

But even he really didn't believe that. He just kept saying it, though in his head like a mantra.

'He deserves it. He deserves it. He deserves it. He deserves it. He deserves it. He deserves it.'

"ANTI!" Jackie wanted to help him but Google was right in front of him, once again threatening everyone's lives. He had to stop the android first at all costs.

'Even if I'm not the hero I want to be, I can still be the man I want to believe I am. I can't let this bastard win. Or else. . . . what have I been created for?'

So he decided he'd end this fight. And then he'd help Anti.

'Anti can handle himself. I know he's strong.' it surprised him that he didn't think of his other brother's wellbeing but he couldn't dwell on that. He had to fight.

Google prepared against Jackie's attacks, using a reinforced shield on his steel skin.

Jackie let loose, slamming his fists and body weight on him but the android was stronger than he anticipated.

"Why don't you use all your power, hero?!" Google laughed at him, "Wouldn't it be so much easier to take me out that way?!"

Jackie stumbled at little, and that gave Google the opportunity to backhand him, making him stumble back a bit.

"Shut up! I don't need that power to take you down!"

"Is that-that so!? Or are you just too afraid-afraid to use it?!"

Jackie heard Anti suddenly scream and he turned to see it happening. Anti was unable to do anything against Marvin's attack, convulsing on the ground below in absolute pain.

He felt the pain. And he knew the others didn't like it either. So why weren't they stopping Marvin!? Why was Marvin doing this?!

Jackie glanced back over to Google to see he had the glove in one hand, getting ready to put it on.

"NO!!"

He bolted over and before Google could do ANYTHING, he took his shoulder.

"How's this for power? You need some juice!?"

Jackie clenched his eyes shut as he let loose a massive shock from his hands, using Google as a conduit, forcing his power through him.

Google's skin and eyes lit up and he stuttered violently. Jackie swore he smelt smoke as Google finally fell to the ground at his feet unconscious.

Jackie couldn't just take a breather, though.

He heard Anti's screaming stop.

"Marvin, that's enough!" Chase yelled at him, "Stop it! STOP!"

Henrik, too, was flustered. He couldn't watch this but he was too stunned to say anything.

Neither of them had seen Marvin so unchained before.

Upon hearing Chase's pleas, though, he stopped the curse and Anti stopped screaming, coughing out saliva and blood from biting his tongue.

The glitch shuddered on the ground, shivering. He was so afraid. Was this how he was going to die? Was he just destined to suffer?

But didn't he bring this on himself?

Yes. Yes, he did.

But that didn't make it hurt any less.

"Chase, he's a killer" Marvin tried to rationalize his behavior, "He's a killer that will just keep on trying to murder us. No matter what! It's what he was created for! He's nothing but a fucking monster! DO you want your kids to die? Because he's always so close to them, isn't he!?"

Chase tensed and looked away, but bit his lip, "What would Jackie think?"

"WHO CARES WHAT HE THINKS!? HE'S BEING CONTROLLED BY THIS FUCKING MONSTER! If we don't do something NOW, then Jackie and everyone we know is just as good as dead!"

Anti tried to sit up but Marvin kicked him back down, "STAY DOWN!"

"NO!" Anti fought to stand up again, "I won't! I'm fed up with it all!"

The glitch stumbled and wavered but managed to keep himself up somehow, "You want to kill me, then FINE! KILL ME! GO AHEAD! WHAT'S STOPPING YOU, MAGICIAN!? Huh!? Brody!? Doctor!? Do it! I'm done!"

"Where's Jackie?" Chase asked him and Anti scoffed.

"I don't fucking know! The last time I saw the hero, he was having an identity crisis in the middle of a fight and the magician flung him off the roof of city hall!"

"Because you've been controlling him!" Chase argued, "You've made him your puppet to go against us!"

"No, I haven't!"

"Don't listen to him! He's-" Marvin tried but Chase put his gun to Anti's forehead, stopping ALL of them from speaking.

"Where. Is. Jackie?"

Henrik observed Anti's reaction and the glitch stared down the other.

Anti blinked calmly and stated confidently, "I don't know. And I don't care-"

Chase had his finger on the trigger in threat, "Why shouldn't I kill you? You've tried to kill us. And for what?! Why!? I've always wanted to know, you know. Why bother us when we never did anything to you?"

Anti snarled at little, "Never did anything to me?" he scoffed, "You bastards replaced me. Became Sean's favorites. Didn't know any of us existed but . . . . ." Anti glared over to Marvin, "Well maybe Marvin can tell you all about it since he knows everything already . . .. .  No? You don't want to? Typical pussy"

Marvin nearly hissed but contained it, "You want to die so bad!? Chase, just fucking end him, already or I will! He wants to die, anyway! You want him to kill Sammy and Kallie before you finally full that trigger!? You KNOW who he is!" Marvin shot a curse at him, knocking Anti down again on his back.

Chase hovered over Anti, his gun still trained on him.

'Jackie's always been the bridge between right and wrong' he thought to himself, 'Would he do this? I'm not so sure. It doesn't feel right.'

Chase sighed and put the gun down, "I can't do it"

Anti was surprised to say the least as Chase backed away from him.

'What? He's not gonna-?' he was so confused. He had him, though! Why wouldn't he take the chance!?

Marvin was just as confused but also so angry.

"Fine the. You won't kill him, then I will!" the magician shoved his brother out of the way and held his hand in Anti's direction.

For a moment, Anti's short life flashed in front of his eyes. All the wrong he's done. All the pain and death he's given to others.

For a moment, he saw Jackie and the hero's kind eyes still full of hope for him filled his mind.

Anti remembered when Jackie saved him in that Earthquake. When he disappeared and Anti was so frustrated with that. The pain he felt, like he had TRULY been abandoned but the last person that maybe believed in him.

He wasn't stupid. Jackie had plenty of chances to either lock him up or kill him but he never did.

Even now, Anti thought he saw Jackie standing in front of him taking Marvin's curse.

Instead, it was a an in black. . . .. with red streaks designed on the outfit.

Anti looked up at the man who saved his life yet AGAIN.

But this time. . . .. he was covered in a green electricity. Green sparks snapping off of him, blocking the curse.

Anti was confused.

Blood-streak had powers?

No. . . . . how?

But Chase and Marvin's looks were enough of an answer.

"Bl-blood-streak?" Anti whispered.

"Why would you  . . . . why would you save him? Why go through ALL this trouble. . .  FOR HIM!?" Marvin wanted to know.

Why did Anti take Marvin's place as the favorite?

Blood-streak sighed and reached up for his mask.

Anti watched in horror as he pulled it off of his head to reveal a familiar cut of hair, sparks still snapping off of him. Anti let out a breathe that he thought just might be his last.

Jackie stared them all down, equally upset with ALL of them.

.

.

"Because he's my brother"
