A Little White Lie
Above are the poll results for the next story I will be writing involving Antisepticeye and the egos. Henrik poisoning Anti has won by a pretty big margin but like I've said on my profile conversations page, It's most likely I will be doing most of the other ideas as well so if you wanted to see any of the other ideas, don't worry, you will eventually :) What do you guys think of the results?
Jackie stared back into Anti's tired eyes. Thankfully, Anti didn't seem like he'd be able to lunge at him any time soon. Maybe he was just too exhausted after fighting with Marvin. If you could even call it a fight.
Jackie supposed that was why Anti never tried going after Marvin first.
"Well?" he growled out, "You gonna answer me or not, dumbass? Why were you looking in that book?"
"Uh . . .. "
Anti raised a brow at him, clearly unimpressed.
Jackie had to think quick before Anti decided he'd had enough of him. He cleared his throat and glanced away from him, "I didn't know you wrote in it at first . . . . And then . . . I guess I just wanted to know more about you"
"Know MORE about me?" Anti just scoffed, wincing afterwards to hold his throat, "Hmm . .. And you think that gives you the right to look through stuff like that? When I hardly know shit about you?"
Jackie knew he was right. He didn't blame Anti at all. Here, HE was in the wrong and he had no excuse.
"Sorry"
Anti just stared at him, rubbing at the bandages on his neck and cheek before blinking and looking away.
"Whatever. What do you think you learned about me?"
'Honestly a lot more than I thought I would' Jackie thought to himself but he couldn't say that to him.
"You're not human. You were . . . created by someone. You were . . ." Jackie stopped to think of the right word, " . . . . abandoned"
"Abandoned . . ." Anti repeated, "Hmph. . . I guess that's one way to put it. Tch. . . . What else?"
"You're after these people that were ALSO created similar to you?"
"Only in looks" the glitch helped him out, "Much like the Iplier egos you saw the other day. They were created by someone else and Dark has gotten them all on his side. He's even closer to getting rid of his creator than I am"
"You . . . you're trying to recruit the other egos like you?" that was news to him.
"It's complicated." he almost looked solemn, "I hate them all. But also. . . . ." he stopped and shot a look back at Jackie, clearing his throat, "Tell me something else about yourself."
Jackie expected that question and thought of something that wouldn't give him away, "I have . . . five brothers. All of which are idiots and assholes"
Anti snorted at that but let Jackie finish.
"But . . . I still care about them even if I've chosen this way of life. They don't like it but . . . that's okay."
"What are they like?"
"You know that cat you found that one day that I took with me?"
"Yeah?"
"He belonged to one of them. I won't tell you anymore about them, though"
"Fair enough . . . so one of your brothers is stuck-up. Got it. I see why you broke away from them"
Jackie sighed, "I didn't break away, Anti. I still care about them. Even if they don't understand me. I'll always be there for them"
Anti stared at him again, clearly not understanding his words, "I. . . .Hm . . . . . . . . . . . .I need a drink."
"Huh?"
"I said I need a drink!" Anti moved and hopped out of bed albeit still sore and he grunted, "If we're gonna be all sappy and talking bullshite like this, I'm gonna have a drink in my hand near passing out! Now come on, Fuck-face. You're buying."
He bust out in a laugh, clearly surprised by him, "Excuse me? I saved your life AGAIN! If anyone owes the other drinks, it's YOU!"
Anti waved it off, still limping towards the door, "You coming or not?"
'I guess I have no choice if Marvin is still after you or not'
Without a word, he followed right on his tail.
Henrik whopped Marvin upside the head, "You insolent fiend! You are lucky no more children cried! I am not capable of handling sobbing brats!"
"That's where you get a nurse to do it" Marvin snorted, "Anyway, now that that's over, there's something I need to talk to you and the others about."
This caught Henrik's attention and the magician led him off away from any other people who might be able to hear.
"Vhat are you on about?" the doctor was curious but wrenched his arm out of Marvin's grasp, "But I have something to talk to you about as vell." Henrik looked around just to be sure they were alone, "Anti came to my office zhe other day"
The magician paled, "W-why?"
Henrik shrugged, "Zhat is the thing! He vas very confusing. Apparently he saw Jackie's records on my computer and lost his shit. I think he's been looking for him and evidently Jackie's been avoiding him "
"Not the only person he's been avoiding" Marvin scoffed.
"So it IS true!" Henrik gaped at him, "Anti vas telling the truth. Jackie's gone. . . . awol?"
"It's more complicated than that, doc. You see-"
"HEY DUDES!"
Both Septic egos jumped at the shout and they looked to see Chase running up to them.
"Chase. . . . " Marvin swallowed but this was better than going to his house where he'd have to ben around his kids, too, "I was going to come see you next. I-"
Chase stopped him, "Did I really just see you on the roof of city hall earlier fighting Anti!? What the hell happened, bro!?"
"Oh. . . that" Marvin was surprised Chase knew about that but then again, his work was pretty close to there so he should have known better.
Henrik stared at the magician in pure confusion.
He had a lot to explain, "You see . . . ." He suddenly stopped himself.
He couldn't just explain everything, could he? Especially not about his weapons. They'd surely blame him, too, just like Jackie. He needed to get that glove back somehow first. Things needed to be under control.
So he made up just a little white lie.
"Anti has a weapon of mass destruction and I think he's puppetting Jackie"
Jackie wasn't surprised when Anti brought them to the same bar he was at that night the glitch saved him. Of course Anti wouldn't remember that because of Marvin's spell and back then, he didn't have a suit. He had just been wearing normal clothes.
This time, he wore his suit and mask in the bar/club. Anti didn't see anything wrong with it, of course but the people inside the place felt differently.
The bartender stared at them strangely, "I'm sorry bud, but you're gonna have to take that mask off, at least, to be in here."
Jackie sweat, "Uh . . . I can't do that, sir"
"What? You here to rob the place!?" the man reached for a gun that was undoubtedly under the table but Anti chuckled at him.
"The fuck, man!? We're here to get drunk! Why else!? Leave the bastard be! If he wants to keep his mask on to spend money on and drink your booze, then let him! What if he has a HORRID scar!? Insensitive prick!"
The bartender didn't seen threatened with Anti's words but calmed down a bit, "Eh whatever just don't cause no trouble, ya here!?"
"Whatever!" Anti waved him off and pulled Jackie with him to a booth seat nearby, ordering their first rounds of drinks.
Of course, Jackie wasn't counting on drinking, himself. He remembered what happened the last time he got drunk.
Anti chuckled, rubbing at his sore wounds, "Eh what's under that mask anyway? ARE you hiding some scars or something?" his face turned excited.
Jackie shook his head, "No . . .. I just . . don't like being seen is all"
"Hmph" the glitch rolled his eyes, "What? Don't like cameras? Ya shy, big guy?" he glanced at a security camera nearby and winked at him, "You know I can disable them, right? You're safe here"
Jackie almost felt touched, "Thanks . . . but I'd prefer not"
"Aw come on!" Anti pouted, "You gotta at least pull it up to your nose to drink!"
Speaking of which, the first round came over and Anti grinned, winking at the waitress, "Thanks, doll"
The girl blushed hard and nodded, swiftly walking away.
Anti turned back to Jackie, "Well? Gonna drink with me or not? I can't just get drunk on my own! That'd just be sad!"
Giving in almost too easily, Jackie finally relented and gently pulled up his mask to his nose, "This is all you get"
Anti examined what he could, "Beard . . .. typical. Must get stuffy in that mask all the time"
"You have no idea"
Anti chuckled and picked up a shot, holding it up. Jackie got the idea and sighed, picking his own up to clink it against his.
The glitch grinned wide, "We're gonna get so wasted" clearly he was all too excited.
He had never had a partner to drink with before.
Chase couldn't believe what he had heard.
Was Marvin really telling the truth?
Jackie. . . . was being manipulated by Anti?
It would make sense as to why he wasn't acting right lately. But to switch completely onto Anti's side?! The glitch HAD to be using some sort of hypnotism on him!
Not feeling the best after that talk, Chase had called up Jameson and asked if he could babysit the kids.
He needed a drink or two.
Eventually, he came up to a bar he used to go in all the time before he got his kids back. He remembered all the times he'd get drunk there and flirt and just let loose.
He got in trouble a lot, too, with Jackie.
Chase chuckled to himself, remembering just a couple weeks ago when he picked up a drunk Jackie. He had to have been at this exact bar and club.
'Just a couple shots and I'll go home. Got work tomorrow and then the weekend. I'm taking the kids to the zoo' he smiled to himself at the thought.
Kallie and Sammy always loved the zoo.
Kallie loved the aquarium while Sammy enjoyed the lions more.
Anti's destructive weapon that Marvin mentioned came to mind and he shuddered.
'If Anti really has that kind of power, he could obliterate this whole city whenever he wanted.' he thought to himself, 'The kids and all my brothers dead in an instant'
He really needed that drink BAD.
With a heavy breathe, Chase walked into the club, trudging off to the bar.
"Hey! Brody!" the bartender grinned at him, "It's been a while! You doing good?"
Chase sat up on one of the seats and chuckled darkly, "Been a helluva day, Max. Helluva day. Gimma a double shot of whiskey will ya?"
"Sure thing"
As the bartender was fixing him up, Chase looked up at the TV. On the news, it was going over the weird activity that had happened earlier that morning. The dark clouds above city hall and the green lightening.
The police were covering it up as some weird weather phenomenon but Chase knew the truth.
'Poor Jackie. I should have been more observant. Maybe I could have helped him before Anti got too far in his head' He thought to himself, 'Maybe I should stop by his place tomorrow morning before I go to work? See for myself. Maybe I should confront him . . .'
His whiskey was slid up to him and Chase just looked at him, almost unsure.
For a moment, he was debating on whether or not he should even drink it at all.
He should just go home and be with his kids. Let Jameson live whatever life he's got going for him.
He took the small glass in his hands, nearly there with sucking it down.
The rim was just to his lips.
.
.
"HAHAHAHAA! You fucking bitch! I love you, man!"
Chase's attention was taken away by a terrifying familiar voice just a few feet away from him.
Setting the glass down, he listened again for the voice.
"pSH! No you don't!" Another voice laughed, "I'm no . . .no bitch! I can do another!"
"No you can't! Yer gonna pass out! Lightweight!"
"Not a lightweight! Glitch bitch!"
Chase slowly looked over his shoulder to see that his suspicions were indeed unfortunately correct.
'What the fuck?' Chase thought to himself. He fully turned around in his chair to see the most bizarre thing he had EVER seen.
There Anti was at a booth of the exact same club as him but he wasn't alone! With him, was some strange man in a black and red suit and mask. His mask was just above his nose but there was something eerily strange about this man.
Remembering Marvin's words about Anti using Jackie. . .. .
Chase wasn't stupid.
But he wasn't about to pull out his gun in front of tons of people, either. Anti could escape in an instant. And Jackie . . . .
Well it seemed as if he had gotten himself into deeper trouble than he previously thought.
Chase had quite the dilemma on his hands. He wanted to rush over and save Jackie and yet. . . .
They were laughing together. Clearly both drunk. Smiling and half-ass hugging.
He had never seen Anti smile so genuinely before.
More so in a blank state of mind, Chase set down the shot glass in his hand and walked out of the club.
Right now more than anything . . .he needed to be with his kids.
He'd confront Jackie in the morning to see if it was all true or not.
