Dennis was just preparing to head out of the office for his lunch break when his phone rang.

He looked at the caller ID and a smile immediately graced his face.

"My queen! Good afternoon" he greeted in a cheerful voice

"My baby, you don't call your old woman this days. Hope all is well" The woman on the other end of the line replied

"I'm sorry about that mom, work has just been really stressful" he replied

"Okay, How's my daughter-in-law?" He inhaled a deep breath at that before mustering the strength to reply.

"She is doing fine ma" he replied ignoring the slight ache in his heart. He hated lieing to his Mom but he couldn't tell her anything about Patricia, she would be heart broken as she loved her like the daughter she never had.

"Okay the reason why I called is to invite you to dinner, also I know your wife is not home with you" she replied with a disappointed tune.

"How did you know that?" He asked Shocked

"I have my ways of knowing what goes around with my sons" She replied

"I'm sorry I lied to you mom, I just don't feel like talking about any thing related to her" he honestly replied.

"Okay dear, come on time, you know how your dad feels about late coming" She replied with a smoke as a memory resurfaced in her mind.

"I know mom, bye" he hung up without waiting for a reply and rushed to the hotels restaurant.

Throughout the day Dennis has been cracking his brain about how his parents found out that Patricia no lived with him.

One thought stood out though, did she by any chance tell them? But why will she do that?

Wouldn't that cause his parents to despise her? Or did she lie to them?

So many questions and not a single answer, thankfully he was done with his work for the day.

He waved to his colleagues on his way out and drove straight to his parents house that was located at cooper road in ikoyi.

He reached the house and horned at the black gate.

The gateman opened the small door and after seeing the occupant of the vehicle immediately ran inside and opened the door.

Dennis exchanged pleasantries with him and drove into the house.

He parked his car beside an unfamiliar  Lexus jeep. The car belonged to neither of his parents and he was guessing they had a guest over or one of his siblings.

He got out of his car and walked into the milk colored two storey building. The house was big but not too big. It was a gift him and his siblings got for their parents as an anniversary gift the previous year.

The moment he stepped into the living room a frown appeared on his face.

His parents and Patricia's mom along with Patricia were talking and laughing.

He turned around to walk out when a booming voice stopped him.

"Where do you think you are going son?" He turned back around and looked at his dad.

"I really want to stay with you all but if this disgusting woman is here... I'm leaving" he replied as he looked into his father's eyes to show how serious his words were.

"You are going no where Dennis, you are going to come here and sit beside me. So I can hear you properly when you tell me the reason why you chased this poor woman out of your house" his father angrily replied with a scowl on his face.

Dennis felt intimidated by his dad and immediately lowered his eyes. He walked up to the couch and sat beside his dad.

He raised his eyes and stared at Patricia with a fierce glared, she noticed the look he was directing at her and winked at him with a mischievous smile set on her lips.

"So Dennis why did you just wake up one morning and sent your wife parking?" His father asked

"Since she told you I chased her father, why don't you ask her to tell us the reason" he replied

"Dennis I'm being serious, answer me" his father said in a calm manner but Dennis could see the annoyance building in his eyes.

"Well dad I caught my precious wife cheating on me in my house and on my matrimonial bed" he replied, suddenly feeling angry

"No father that's not true! how can you vomit such lies dennis?" Patricia started crying.

All the parents looked at her with pity in their eyes except Dennis who felt so much hate and anger towards her. He was so angry that he felt like strangling her.

"I was only receiving a personal massage since I couldn't leave the house as I didn't inform Dennis of my plans, but when he came home and saw the masseaur he got really angry and even hit the poor boy before throwing me out of the house.....I begged him continuously but he refused to hear any of it" Patricia said full on sobbing now.

With each lie that came out of her mouth Dennis felt his hatred towards her increase and he kept thinking about how stupid he was to not have figured out this side of Patricia.

So his wife was this bad and yet he foolishly loved her all this while.

"What do you have to say about that Dennis? Is it really true?" His mother asked.

"Mom she is lying, I caught her and her lover mom, you of all people know how much I loved patricia so why would I just throw her out of the house without any reasonable reason?"

They all keep looking between Dennis and Patricia trying to figure out who was saying the truth and who wasn't.

"Mom if she really wanted a massage why didn't she wait for me to do it for her? Why didn't she call me on the phone to ask for permission? And Patricia never asks for my permission before going out so why start that day?" Dennis angrily ranted

"Now that I think about it I should have known by now! She always asks for money to buy clothes that i never see, she is always chatting and smilling at her phone, she is always sneaking to the bathroom to pick up her calls at night! I was so blind to the signs" he shouted and walked up to Patricia, anger boiling in his cold brown eyes.

He grabbed her shoulders and starte firing questions at her. "Since when have you been cheating on me? Did our love mean nothing to you? Was I only your money machine? Answer me Patricia!" She looked at him with frightened eyes.

She has never once seen dennis lost control of his temper like that ever before and they have been together for five years now.

She started shaking in fear and crying uncontrollably.

"I'm so sorry" she apologized

All the parents in the room silently watched every thing unfolding before their eyes, with the feeling of disappointment wafting off them.

"Patricia you have disgraced yourself and your family name" her mom sobbed.

"I'm glad that my husband is not alive to witness this day and I wish I was dead too to not face this shame" her mother lamented with Dennis's mother trying to comfort her.

"I'm so sorry" Patricia's kept repeating like a mantra but it's too late to cry when the head is cut off.

Dennis would have kept every thing a secret from their parents and covered for her but she just had to act like a sneaky bitch and now her plan has backfired full force.

Hmmmm. Me I have nothing to say about Patricia's problem...that woman pass my power.
