Chapter 4: Forced Union
"Sooooooooooooo?". Alamar sits in front of me at the deli shop.
I sigh heavily knowing this will take a 380° degree in less than 2 minutes or less. Here, I am hoping for him to eat his sandwich and shit the fuck up in the process; however, life isn't that sweet sometimes. His stupid smirk lingers on his lips, "Why did the ex Alpha name you Salt though? Cause you are salty?". A slap falls upon Alamar from none other than my brother, Russ.
"How many times do I have to tell you, Alarmar?". He starts softly whispering under his breath. There wasn't a tint of anger in his tone, but those who know my brother know better. A sweat drips off from Alamar's neck down his back as shivers remind him that he has run out of luck.
Alamar stands up from his seat without saying another word to me or my brother. He walks to one of the back tables with the pack members. They consulate his stupidity by saying, "Smart move", "I would have ran out of the deli" or "Outta town for a few years.. like my late cousin did. That didn't help him anyhow, Russ found him".
The Deli was quiet since Russ is here, or I am betting for that last comment. He sighs heavily glancing at me, "Are you ready for today's meeting?".
"With the Vampires at the creak?". Russ nods towards me without saying another word. My brother was wearing his usual worn out blue jeans with a black T-shirt no long sleeves. He likes the sun for some reason more than us werewolves being a heat source. He sometimes forgets those little details, or he just doesn't gives 2 fucks.
I would go for the latter. My brother is a simple man though he sticks up for the pack after all Russ is our Alpha. I am his Beta. I am supposed to meet this Vampire Royal today at Creak's house by the northern lake. His house is closest to this unnatural rock formation.
A very important place for both Vampires and Werewolves alike. That's where the treaty was sign, and that's were I am supposed to meet my future fiancee... How romantic is that?
I doubt it...
Marrying another blood to strengthen the treaty, and forcing unity with the enemy. How do we know this isn't a trap?
Sadly, we don't. That's why is a one sided force union.
