❤️Chapter 6: Surface Sweet Surface❤️
SansPOV
I stared in horror at the sights of the surface. We were free but, was this all we were waiting for? It seemed like we were waiting for nothing. I felt a hand rest on my shoulder, and I knew right then it was Mabel. "Was it always like this?"
"No... Gravity Falls was a beautiful place, that had always seemed to be filled with mystery. Our Great Uncle Ford wrote these journals to keep track of all the weirdness going on in the little town-"
"Until Bill destroyed them."
"But now that he's gone, it's up to us to stop him." I nodded the hot winds burning my face. "Was it always this hot?" I asked, rolling up the sleeves on my hoodie. I refused to take it off, but it seemed like that was my only choice. Mabel shook her head, as she gazed up at the blood-red sky. "In Weirdmageddon, we'll never be sure of what can happen-"
"So watch your back." Mabel snapped out of her trance as Dipper her off. He pushed in between us, to look up at the sight before them. It was a strang pyramid shaped object that floated in the sky. It was ginormous, and I was shocked.
"A-are you sure we need to do this? I mean, it's just the fate of the world, right-"
"Sans, Papyrus is depending on you to get him back. He's depending on you to save him. He's depending on you because... He loves you... Sans... He's your brother, and he's willing to do anything to help you, so... Do the same for him! I know I would!" Tears formed in my eyes as I unzipped my hoodie just a bit, and pulled out Papyrus' old scarf out. It was like my good luck charm, telling me that I won't die. And Mabel was my hope. Together we could defeat this Bill, and save everyone.
I stuck the scarf back in my hoodie, and zipped it up tight. Its okay Paps, we're almost there...
Without it noticing us, each one of us grabbed an eyeball-bat to ride to the skies, where Bill would be waiting. On one hand, I was confident, knowing I could do this, and I'd get Papyrus back. But on the other, there was this aching feeling that said that I couldn't do it and I was gonna die. But I tried ignoring that side of me. I needed to stay confident. I needed to stay...
D E T E R M I N E D
Ugh, there was that word again. As much as I hated it, I needed it to get Papy back. It was for the best, right?
As we reached the end of our ride, I swallowed, taking a deep breath before entering. To my surprise, it was just a yellow, triangular-shaped demon, his one eye staring into my soul. It was as if he knew I was coming.
And he did.
