*Sonic's POV*
"Sonic. It's been days. Don't you think you should do something about this?" Sonia said as she walked into my room. Her steps light as she spoke softly. She walked up to me, I was burrowed under the blankets and was hugging a pillow.

"Like what?" My voice was broken, I was tired. I knew I said I could probably handle a heartbreak, but I was lying. I really liked Shadow, and I also hurt Rouge by lying to her, too. I was feeling so devastated, so tired, I just wanted to sleep. I just wanted to stay in my room, with the lights off forever.

"Bro, come on. You need to get up." Manic walked in as well. Tails following close by, I was giving them my back, but I could see them from the mirror in front of me.

"Did Rouge say anything?" I spoke to Tails. He had been the one to keep in contact with Rouge as they tried to figure out who was the one behind all of this.

"I- Yes. She says there's not even any trace of anyone paying G.U.N. for this." Tails walked to the other side so he could talk to me face to face, then he sat on the floor. They all had been coming to check on me every day. It had been 4 days now since Rouge and Shadow found out.

"What are you saying?" Manic asked.

"So it was the commander all along?" Sonia asked. I sat up, feeling completely numb to any emotions but anger and sadness. I had eye bags from these past few nights of not sleeping, and my fur was a mess, but I did not care. I stood up and walked to my closet, getting ready to play Prince.

"What are you doing?" Sonia said, standing up from my bed.

"I'm paying him a damn visit." I put the mask on. Tails had been working on adding a voice changer on my mask. It was finally ready, and I was ready for the commander to hear me.

"A fight. Interesting. I get to see dear old Sonic break the rules. Tag me in." Manic joked as he wrapped an arm around me. "What do you say, sis? Siblings trip?"

"Oh, fine." Sonia gave in after a bit. "But just because someone needs to keep the two of you in check."

"Tails. Go tell our mother we will be back soon. I'm taking some guards with us. I'm going to need them."

"Uhm. What exactly are you going to do, Sonic?" Tails hesitated but nodded at my request. We all walked out of my room.

"It's time the commander knows how this family works. Don't you think?" I responded, anger clear in my tone.

"Chuck and Ma want us to take care of things on our own, then we will. What do you say we take over G.U.N. ourselves?" I offered, earning a laugh from Manic.

"A family business now, huh?" He chuckled. "You're going to mess with powerful people."

"They messed with us first." I rolled my eyes.

*Shadow's POV*
"What's going on?" Rouge asked when we started to hear a lot of commotion coming from outside our office. She had dragged me into work today, saying I needed to get out of the house.

The breakup with Sonic was taking a harder hit on me that I would like to admit. I missed that idiot. But he lied to me. He messed up. And I don't know if I could forgive him.

"I don't know." I shrugged, not really caring.

"Let them through! Let them through!" My ear twitched when we heard agents shouting. Rouge opened the door as I stood up and walked closer. She opened the door just in time to see Sonic and his siblings walking beside each other, going straight to the commanders room.

"What the hell are they doing here?" Rouge gasped, I froze. Even seeing him was affecting me. I hated these feelings. I was better off without them. Rouge walked out of the room, and I followed after a bit. I watched as Sonic kicked the commanders door open.

"We need to talk." His voice sounded deeper. It wasn't his voice. Was it not Sonic again under that mask? It had to be. We all watched as the commander stood up, greeting them but kept the same expression he always had. He was furious.

Four guards went in the room with them, as another 3 closed the door and stayed outside, blocking the door. Rouge and I looked at each other. Every other agent around was confused as well. What the hell was going on?

No one went back into their offices. We were all just waiting outside. And it didn't take long before we got an answer. Sonic walked out of the room, blood in his gloves as he walked at a fast pace. He didn't even look at anyone else but at his hands. His hand was shaking a lot, and he rubbed his wrist. A guard walked in front of him and another behind as his sister tried to catch up to him. His brother, however, stayed outside the commanders office and smiled as if he was proud of something. He also had blood on his hands.

"Okay, everyone!" Manic clapped his hands. "There's going to be some changes around here starting tomorrow. Today will be the commanders last day here." He fixed his tie. A guard handed him a towel, and he tried to clean the blood off his gloves. He spotted Rouge, and I then walked to us.

"In your office." He spoke sternly, we listened instantly.

"What happened out there?" Rouge spoke as I stayed quiet.

"My siblings and I are taking iver G.U.N. the commander is getting an early retirement." He explained.

"Whats with the blood?" She looked down at his hands.

"Let's say Maurice was a tad bit too mad when the commander said something to him. He doesn't typically lose it, but this time, he couldn't hold back."

"What did the commander say to him to piss him off?"

Manic stayed quiet now, but he did look at me then back at Rouge. "He said he was going to torture Shadow and kill you for not finishing the mission."
