*Sonic's POV *
"I was saying I want to know what you're comfortable with. What do you want to know about being in a relationship." I said after I remade our food and sat down to eat with him.

"You ever even held hands with someone? Hugged someone? Have you ever not been mean to someone?" I asked, and he stayed quiet for a bit. "Show any other emotion other than annoyance?"

"Maria." Shadow said, making me lower my ears slightly. 

"Oh. Sorry." I sighed, but Shadow shook his head. I knew it was hard for him to talk about Maria. "She meant a lot to you. Have you never allowed yourself to open up to anyone else?" He must really be trying to open up more because he would have usually already been gone for even bringing her up. But this time, he was the one that brought her up, so was it okay to ask?

"No. I found it useless." Shadow confessed. "Like now. Why does it matter what happened in the past?"

"Because I get to learn more about you and what happened to make you this way." I explained as I moved closer to him. "It's okay if you don't want to talk about her, it's a tough subject, I know that more than anyone else." I looked down at my food and started picking at it. "But I do want to get to know you, if you let me."

"I dont really have a choice here." Shadow said earning me to look up just in time to see him look away. "I just find it stupid getting attached to others. It only brings you pain and who even wants to go through that?"

"You may be partly right. But it doesn't just bring pain to get attached to someone. It also brings smiles, laughs, beautiful memories. Do you honestly regret your time with Maria?" He instantly glared at me, clenching his fists and even slightly getting up as if getting ready to raise his hand at me.

I raised my arm, covering my face as to block the attack I was anticipating but nothing happened. I lowered my arm slowly and saw as he sat back down how he was before. Maria was a VERY sensitive subject to Shadow. Best to avoid it for now.

"Tell me somerhing about you." I mumbled as I finally started eating. "Whats your favorite food? Mine is chili dogs."

"Pizza." Shadow finally answered calmly this time. A small and soft smile spread across my face at his answer. "But I don't allow myself to eat it much. I need to keep training for G.U.N. and eating junk food isn't something I should do. Only on special occasions." I frowned.

"Why must you be so 'perfect'? Allow yourself to eat what you like for the heck of it, Shadz." I playfully rolled my eyes. "How about your favorite flower?"

"Lantanas I guess." He said after a bit of thinking. "Does this even matter, hedgehog?"

"It does!" I said and pointed at the food in front of him. "I nearly burned down my house to cook for you and you're not even eating the food I made you?"

"The accident made me question your cooking." Shadow crossed his arms after he put the fork down. I couldn't help but laugh at his answer.

"Oh come on. I was distracted, it could have happened to anyone. Here." I cut a piece of the omelet with the fork and picked it up then moved it close to his mouth. He glanced down at it then back to meet my eyes as he raised a brow with a 'just what the hell are you doing' look. "Just eat it. Or ill force you to."

"Give me that." Shadow grabbed my hand with the fork and fed himself but I couldnt help it and feel a bit flustered at that. "Its not bad." He said as I let go of the fork.

"What is your favorite flower?" Shadow asked after he was halfway done through his food. My ears perked up in surprise and I looked at him with a bright smile as I gave him an answer.

He was actually listening to me.

*Shadow's POV*
"So how did it go?" Rouge asked as I opened the door to my house.

"How do you keep getting inside my home, bat?" I growled at her.

"Ive got my way in." She walked to me and stood in front of me not letting me continue walking. "How did it go with Blue? You regretting saying yes?"

"No. It went fine." I confessed.

Sonic and I had spent the entire afternoon getting to know each other a bit better. Questions I thought were stupid at first but later Sonic explained could be useful in the future. Like knowing our favorite flowers was useful as a gift idea or on special occasions. Of course I didn't answer questions that would give him an advantage over me or anything in that case. Unlike him which I already knew his weakness was water.

"What did you do?" She asked me, still blocking the way only making me more annoyed. I wanted to kick her out but knowing her, she'd just find her way back in and continue bugging me. She was sometimes worse than Sonic himself.

"We talked and watched a movie." I grabbed her shoulders and moved her to the sides as I finally walked past her and to my room. She quickly followed.

"Anything interesting happened~?" Her tone changed to a more flirty one which I immediately knew what she was assuming so I slammed the door on her face. "So something did?" I could see her smile even with the door close.

"No! We just talked and watched a movie. That is it, Bat. Now get the hell out of my damn house!" I snapped. She had really got on my nerves.

Soon enough I heard my front door open then close. I finally was able to lay down.

Too much socializing.
