Shaurya's POV

A few hours after Vijay leaves, the doctor comes out of the operation theater.

"Doctor-" I say, walking to him.

"The Mithra's aunt died. Extensive blood loss." he says. "We are moving Mithra to ICU. She needs to be in observation, but is doing well so far."

"Rekha?" I ask.

"Rekha is safe too."

I let out a sigh.

"Thanks." I say.

He nods, smiling.

The others go to see Mithra and I call headquarters.

"Details." the operator says.

"Shaurya Mulpuri, team 302, unit 5." I say.

"Reason for call?"

"I need to be connected to Vijay Kumar Chandrasekhar." I say.

"Purpose?"

"Update on his family." I respond.

"Connecting."

I wait for two minutes, as is protocol.

"Vijay." I say.

He taps twice on his Bluetooth, and I hear the beeps on my side, signaling that he heard me and is listening.

"Mithra's aunt passed." I say.

I pause, letting him take in that information. He takes in a deep breath.

"And Mithra is doing well." I say. "Rekha is good too."

I listen for his response, or a signal that he heard, but I receive nothing.

"Vijay?" I say into my phone.

Nothing.

I cut the call, and try again.

I go through the operator again.

"Connecting." he says.

I wait for two minutes.

"Vijay?"

"Sir, it is not connecting. There seems to be a problem." the operator says.

"Shit!" I curse.

I cut the call.

I go into the room, and everyone looks at me.

"Sir." I say, gesturing to Reddy sir.

He gives Mithra a weak smile, and follows me out.

"Did you tell him?" he asks.

I look down.

"What is it?" he asks again.

"We lost connection with him sir." I answer timidly.

"What!" he shakes his head. "I was supposed to get informed if something went wrong!" he exclaims.

He starts walking to the door, when he stops and turns.

"Say hi to Mithra and come." he says.

I nod, and walk into the room.

Mithra looks at me, questioning me with her eyes.

"Hi Mithra." I say.

She smiles. I walk over to Rekha, who is next to her, and gently stroke her soft head.

"Vijay?" Mithra asks after a few moments.

I gulp, getting nervous.

"He-uh he went on an urgent mission." I stutter. I avoid meeting her eyes, but I can feel her staring at me.

"Don't lie to me." she says.

"I-I'm not." I reply.

"Shaurya-"

"Mithra, I need to go to headquarters. Please get well soon." I say hurriedly.

Before walking out, I shoot Divya a look, and she nods slightly.

"Mithra, everything's fine-" I hear Divya comfort Mithra as the door closes behind me.

I quickly walk out of the hospital, and get into the car in which Reddy sir is waiting for me. The driver takes us to Headquarters, and we don't speak at all.

Mithra's POV

I know that Shaurya was lying. Vijay is not alright. Something happened to him. I barely remember what happened after I gave Rekha to Vijay, and he tried to help me. We had hid, behind the kitchen counter, and the door banged open again. That's it. That's all I remember.

Then I was in the hospital, and Vijay was whispering something to me. I felt his hand in mine, and then we were seperated. After that, I opened my eyes to doctors and nurses rushing around in a room.

"Vijay." I had whispered. They all stopped what they were doing, and one of the doctors left the room.

That's when I started to understand my surroundings. The boys and Divya, along with Reddy sir came into the room. They all talked to me, but my eyes searched for Vijay and Rekha.

They told me Rekha was doing well, and they even brought her to me. But Vijay is nowhere to be seen.

Divya talks to me, but I don't hear anything. 

When Shaurya told me that Vijay went on a mission, I didn't believe it. He would never leave me like this and go on a mission. I know him.

I feel tears roll out of my eyes.

He wouldn't...would he?

Hey guys! I am stretching this story so much. Loll. It was supposed to end last chapter, with Vijay killing off Ameera. Somehow, I managed to get another idea into my head, and continued it till here. Then I was supposed to end it at this chapter(i had another plan for this chap) but I now managed to get another idea into my brain. Sometimes, ideas come when I don't need them, but when I really need them, they ditch me. Loll. Anyways, enough of my ranting.
