Vijay's POV

"Hello again Mr. Vijay." Sohail says.

Behind him are Gautam, Divya, Karthik, and Yash, tied to poles. I tightly close my eyes at the sight of them, gulping. Opening my eyes, I realize that Ram isn't there.

"What? surprised to see me?" Sohail asks. "I found your camera."

"Well, now let me talk for some time. Ok?" he pauses for dramatic effect and smiles.

I just roll my eyes in frustration.

"Now. Where was I..." He stops again, thinking. "Yea, right."

I stare at the screen in shock.

"I have some important work. How come you are just sitting there, doing nothing Vijay?" he asks.

"I think you need motivation."

I look at the screen, not understanding him, when suddenly, Ram is pushed into frame. He looks to be on drugs, since is unable to walk or stand properly.

Sohail grabs him by his collar and kicks him in the back of his legs, making his fall onto his knees.

"Also Vijay, I heard that you lost your parents in a bomb blast?" he asks. "Let me tell you something Vijay." he smiles. "I did the bomb blast."

My eyes widen in shock.

"Hm...isn't he the one with the baby?" Sohail asks.

Someone hands him a knife and he holds it against Ram's neck.

"Ey(hey)!" I exclaim.

In one motion, he slits Ram's neck, and the screen turns black.

I stand still, staring at the blank screen.

Suddenly, I hear a scream next to me. I turn, scared about what happened, and see Mithra, on the floor, crying.

"Mithra. Mithra, calm down." Shaurya says next to her.

I stand in shock, unable to register what just happened.

Zubeida rushes to Mithra's side, and comforts her as well.

"Mithra! Mithra!" Shaurya suddenly yells. I turn, and find her, limp, on the floor.

"Mithra!" I yell, rushing to her and sliding onto my knees next to her.

I put her head in my lap, gently tapping her cheek to get her to wake up.

Zubeida gets up and gets a bottle of water, sprinkling some onto her face.

"Mithra, Mithra." I say, tapping her cheek again.

She opens her eyes, and sits up.

"Vijay!" she hugs me with a shout, and weeps into my shoulder.

I wrap my hands around her protectively. After crying for some time, she calms down and pulls away from me.

"Vijay." she says.

"Hm?"

"Who will take care of Rekha?" she asks.

I look up at her in shock.

The baby...

"Can we Vijay?" she asks.

"But Mithra..."

"Please Vijay?" she asks.

I look at her and smile a sad smile.

"We can." I nod.

After Mithra goes upstairs to sleep, I get Zubeida and Shaurya into the main hall. Shaurya and I forgot about our little fight this morning, especially after this happened.

"What Vijay?" Zubeida asks.

"Was the recorded?" I ask her.

"Uh...yea." she replies.

"Pull it up!" I exclaim.

She nods and gets to work. A few seconds later, the video of Sohail is on the large screen.

"Fast forward." I say.

She does.

"More...more...more...stop!" I say.

She pauses it.

"Zoom...zoom...zoom...good." I say.

She zoomed onto Ram's face so we could see his expressions clearly.

"Play it normal speed." I say.

"Ok." she replies.

"Wait." I stop her.

"Shaurya, get a pencil and paper." I say.

He grabs a notebook next to him, and a pencil. I take the pen right next to me.

I nod for Zubeida to play the video.

After a few seconds, it shows what I was looking for.

I click my pen according to the blinks of Ram's eyes. I had taught him Morse code a long time ago so I could help him cheat in tests. I am shocked he remembers, but no complaints here.

The video ends, and I walk over to Shaurya, looking over his shoulder as he starts writing the letters for the code.
