After the movie, I sent the kids to bed, then I laid down on the couch myself, and fell asleep. It was 7:00 in the morning when I heard what sounded like an elephant stampede, coming down the stairs. But then I realized that it was just the kids. Since it was summer, they didn't have school and I guessed that they were happy about that.
"Wake up!" Fiona shouted to me.
"I'm up, no need to shout," I laughed.
"What are we going to eat for breakfast?" All the kids asked me.
"How about we make waffles and then put chocolate, maple syrup, and fruit on it?" I asked them.
"Ya!" They all shouted joyfully.
We got the ingredients out, made the waffles, put the toppings on, then ate the waffles joyfully.
"Would you guys like to go to the park after breakfast?" I said. They all nodded in agreement then after everything was taken care of, they all went to get ready to go. I helped get Fiona ready, then I got on a yellow shirt and green shorts myself. Marco came down first wearing jeans and a sports shirt, with a cap on his head. Then Tim, who had on shorts and car a t-shirt.
Fiona was already downstairs and ready to go so only Lindsey needed to come down.
"Lindsey try to hurry up, ok?" I shouted up the stairs.
"I'm almost done!" She yelled back. About ten minutes later she came gliding down the stairs wearing a very fancy dress, cute flats, jewelry, and makeup.
"We are only going to the park," I said laughing.
"I know that. But there are a lot of cute boys at the park!" She insisted.
"Ok. But don't say that I didn't warn you." I smiled knowingly. I had dealt with the same problems when I was a young girl. Lindsey merely nodded her head, then followed me and the other kids out the door. They all hopped into my car and sat back in their seats as I started the car and drove off to the park.
