After the park, the kids started begging me to take them to see a movie. I reluctantly agreed.
"What about lunch?" Fiona asked me, pulling on my shirt.
"Don't worry, we will get lunch and then see a movie." I laughed.
"Let's have lunch at Ellas Diner." Marco suggested.
"Alright, let's get going then." We all hopped into my car, then drove to Ellas Diner.

Marco immediately jumped out once we got there.
"Wow Marco, you must really like this place!" I said.
"That's because a cute girl from his class works here." Lindsey smirked.
"You can work here at 14?" I asked, surprised.
"Ya, this place likes to encourage young people to work." Marco explained.
"So who is the cute girl Marco?"
"She's no one!" He shouted. Lindsey started laughing before she said. "No one? You talk about her, like, every day!"
"Its ok, I'll try not to embarrass you." I stated, smiling. We walked into the diner and found a small table.
"That's the girl!" Lindsey said, pointing to a girl with short blonde hair and green eyes.
"Lindsey!" Marco shouted angrily.
"What? I didn't do anything!" Lindsey batted her eyelashes innocently.
When the girl Lindsey had pointed to started walking over, Marco slouched down into his seat, as if wishing that he could disappear.
"Hello, I'm Hailey and I'll be your server today." She started, but when she saw Marco, she lit up into a bright smile. "Hi Marco, how are you enjoying your summer vacation?" Hailey asked.
"Uh, it's good." Marco stammered.
"So what do you all want to drink?" Fiona and Tim both ordered Apple juice, Marco ordered a Coke, Lindsey ordered iced tea, and I stuck with plain old water.
"Alright, I'll be right back with those." She gave another smile to Marco before walking away.
"She smiled at you!" Lindsey teased. "You should ask her on a date."
"No way! I'd be crazy to ask HER on a date!" Marco shook his head.
"Why won't you ask her on a date?" I questioned.
"Because she's popular and I'm...not."
"So, I think she likes you to!" I smiled.
"Her! She'd be crazy to like me!"
"If she says no, I'll give you $50."
"You want me to ask her now!?"
Sure, before we leave the diner."
"I don't want to ask her in front of my siblings. Marco sighed.
"Once we are done eating, I'll take your siblings out to the car and you can ask her on a date. Just have her choose where and when." I suggested.
"Ok, I guess so..." said Marco. Lindsey and Tim started cheering while Fiona looked at them in confusion.
"Why are you cheering?" Fiona asked, confused. We all stated laughing while Fiona just shrugged her shoulders. Hailey brought our drinks then we all ordered our food and quickly ate it.
"You can do this Marco!" I winked, before bringing the other kids to the car.

We sat there for 5 minutes before Marco came out and gave me a thumbs up. Then we all started cheering again as Marco climbed into the car.
"So, where are you two going for your date?" I questioned.
"We are going bowling tomorrow night at 5:00 if that's ok with you."
"Sure! Are you two going to walk there?"
"Yup! I'm gonna pick her up at her house and then we will walk there together."
"Well, let's get to the movie theater." I laughed.
