|Cassie|

My upper lip and eyebrows couldn't take anymore. In fact I'm pretty sure I started to feel and taste the blood, but the makeup personnel kept reassuring me that wasn't real blood I was tasting, but my mind picturing it psychologically.

On the other hand, which actually literally the other hand, a lady was giving me a french manicure that she promised would match my dress perfectly. I actually believed those lady instead of the one stripping the hair off every part of my face.

"Make sure her makeup looks flawless and effortless." I heard Angie say to the makeup lady ripping hair from my face. "Also that she learns how to walk in heels properly."

By the tone of Angie's voice I could tell she was stressed. Maybe I should also be stressing out more than one actually stressing out. Im not the one everyone should needs to be focused on, that's every other celebrities job. Instead I'm just going as Williams plus one who happens to be his lover.

"Miss Gray?" It was a male voice this time that echoed from the doorway. "Someone named Clarke is calling you, should I answer it?"

"Put it on speaker," I said to the man.

"Cassie!" Clarke yelled from the other line, yet none of the ladies working on me even flinched. "You're gonna be on the Yearly Awards carpet right?"

"I'm guessing that's how it works." I said, the man kneeled besides me holding the phone to my face.

"My sister is gonna be on live television!" She squealed. "Everyone gonna want to be your friend when you get back. We might actually become the most popular kids in school can you believe that?"

Even though I'm not stressing over the awards show, doesn't mean I want to think and let alone talk about what my life is gonna be like at school. "Hey, Clarke I'm gonna call you back later, this lay is ripping our my eyebrows."

The man hung up once Clarke said goodbye.

"Ow." I quickly brought my finger to my lip, staring at the lady holding the string of pain and torture.

"Sorry." She smiled.

I glared before moving my hand away for her to complete this whole plucking out every hair on body thing.

It was at least forty-five minutes before the makeup artist came into the room, sat me at the chair in front of the vanity, and sorted through the makeup they used yesterday.

"Do you mind if I call my sister?" I asked the one with short pitch black hair that had a fading blue strip right above her eye.

"Of course." She smiled before handing me my cellphone which was sitting just out of reach from my grasp.

"Cassie!" Clarke delivered right when she picked up.

"Hey Clarke." I smiled even though she couldn't see me. Even when it's been a couple of days, I still felt comfort hearing her voice.

We talked the entire time my makeup was getting down. The exact same as yesterday except this time they went with a more sparkly eye shadow that reminded me of snow. I was forced to hang up on Clarke to go get dressed, but I did promise her and exclusive set of pictures of William and I so she wouldn't have to screenshot it and Photoshop the watermark out of the photo, which I'm pretty sure is somewhat illegal.

I watched my body transform as the last finished tying the back of my dress, tighter then yesterday that I left out a small gasp.

"All done." She held my bare shoulders in place as she smiled at me through the mirror. "Go knock the paparazzi boots off."

I gave a weak smile be walking back into the main room, William was scrolling through his social media accounts. When he looked up, probably because the sound of these heels were very obnoxious on these hardwood floors, the corners of his mouth curved upwards. Tracing my entire body with his brown eyes of his.

I couldn't help but stare also. Even though I knew exactly what he was wearing and how attractive he was in it, today I felt all those emotions again. Moving their tingling sensations through my bloodstream up to my cheeks.

"Yes girl!" The makeup stylist walked past me.

Embarrassed, I began to play with the diamond bracelet on my hand which probably cost more than my education at this point.

William grabbed my wrist before we could walk out.

I looked up at him, I could notice the slight makeup painted on his face but didn't bother pointing it out just for my entertainment.

"I wanna give you something." He said right before pulling out a small black box from his pocket.

At first glance I thought he was gonna propose, but when he opened up the case and not get on one knee, my heart slowed. Inside on top of a small fancy red cushion you see in museums holding relics was a silver necklace with a diamond studded C.

"William." I was speechless, picking it up gently.

"It was my mothers." He started to explain. "It was the only thing left after the crash."

"It's beautiful." I traced the letter C with my finger.

"Do you mind?" He gestured to the necklace. I smiled before he carefully took it out of my hand and wrapped it around my neck. Taking his sweet time clasping the two ends of the chain together.

He held out his hand for me, "you ready?"

"Yeah." I let out a sigh before following him all the way down to the limo.

◻◼◻◼◻◼◻

Riding in a limo has always been a childhood dream of mine and it did not fail to impress me. It was just William and I sitting in the back since Angie and his father got a ride in another car. Rows of fancy chinaware held different types of free candy and chocolate that neither of us was gonna pass up. The last time I had this much sweets since the last time I gone trick or treating when I was probably thirteen. Clarke and I dressed up as mustard and ketchup for the sake of our father who thought this was the best costume of the year. And he wouldn't buy us anything else.

By the noise coming outside and the fact the limo jolted to a stop, we knew we were here.

"Just smile and let me answer the questions." He told me. "And don't go googly eyed over other celebrities here. I know they're attractive especially in person."

"Got it." I nod. "But will I get a chance to take a few photos with my favorites?"

"Maybe." He grins.

The sunlight rushed through the opened door. William got out first before helping me out like a property gentleman.

"Alright every ten steps you stop and let the photographers get a picture. Ill gently jab your rib to move on with me." William whispered.

"Sounds simple enough." I mumbled. Counting all my steps before coming to a stop.

"William look over here!"

"Kiss each other!"

We let each of them get their pictures. I felt William gently touch my ribs before we continued to walked down the line, repeating everything all over again.

"We're nearing the news and interview stations. Let me do the talking if possible." He whispered in my ear between pictures s before jabbing my ribs and walking into the interview section of the blue carpet. This is where I noticed all the celebrities from my favorite movies standing a couple feet away from me. I may not be one to follow the entertainment industry, but doesn't mean I don't have my favorite movie stars. I don't live under a rock.

"William over here!" One news reporter called.

"No over here William!" Another one.

William guided me to a blonde haired women holding a microphone in her hand.

She turned to the camera with a smile. "Right now I'm here with William Everest and Cassie Gray on the blue carpet." She turned to look at us, well more looking at William. "We only have time for two questions if that's okay."

"That's fine." William smiled at the lady then at the camera.

"What do you think about being nominated as Best Looking Actor and Best Youngest Actor at only eighteen years old?"

"Well it's absolutely an amazing experience which I could only dream of. But all the other guys are amazing too and great friends of mine actually so even if I don't win, I'm one of my friends did."

"So humble, I love it." She jokes. "Now this next question is actually for Cassie."

My heart sank and possibly so did William's yet he somehow kept his cool.

"Cassie what do you think about your first ever blue carpet walk?"

Got to keep it cool, "I'm absolutely loving it out here. The vibe is almost undescribable."

"I hundred percent agee. Well I hope you both the best."

"Thank you." William grinned before pulling me away with a giant smile on his face. "You did amazing."

"I felt like my heart was gonna stop."

"How about we head inside?"

We sat at a round table with all of William's cast mates. He introduced them to me individually. Jessica was the blonde girl who wore a tight fitting pink dress while her hair was straighten. Robin looked like she just cut her brown hair who also happened to be wearing a white lacey dress just longer. I received hostile vibes from Antonio who was sitting across from me. A smug look across his face. I gripped Williams hand under the table for the sense of comfort.

"Incoming." Jessica said under her breath to the entire table.

"William?" A highed pitched female voice came from a skinny asian girl which definitely filled out that short black dress of hers well. Long black her hung over her shoulder and she held a smile that according to the girl word was fake.

"Hey Zoe." William offered a handshake but she didn't care.

"This must be Cassie Gray." She looked at me with a smile. Holding out her hand.

When I accepted she continued with the introductions. "I'm Zoe Hall, you probably heard of me. It's so nice to finally meet the girl William fell in love with."

"Hi." I let out because Dad told me silence is rude to people trying to be nice. But by Zoe's body language and the fact that this entire table was warned she was approaching said otherwise."

"I'm so sorry about your mother, that's just so horrible what's she doing with her life." She pouts. "If you ever need someone to talk to I'm here. My mother went through this big drug scandal two years ago."

"Oh looks like the award show about to start." Jessica cut in.

"Come sit with us." Antonio suggested before glancing over at William. I looked over at William and saw him gulp. He squeezed my hand harder.

"I don't wanna be invading your guys space." She said to Antonio before smiling at all of us.

"Antonio I bet she rather hang out with her model friends."

"William right. Lexi nominated tonight and you know, she's kind of my best friend." She turned to me again. "Nice meeting you again."

There was a smile on her face yet her eyes read a different story. One that looked like she was determined to do something. I just couldn't think of it yet.

The lights dimmed and today's top hits played over the speakers.

The beginning acts finished and the host came out onto the stage. I felt like I should've of known him since it looks like everyone else knew him around me.

"That's Bryson Scotts. Famous talk show." Antonio whispered with a smirk.

"Thanks." I mumbled before paying attention back to the stage.

◻◼◻◼◻◼◻

Winner after winner all went in stage, recited and obvious memorized speech, and sat back down for the next hour.

"I always hated these shows." Antonio mumbled under his breath.

I turned my head in annoyance at him, didn't even bother saying anything because nothing would wipe that idiot grin off his face.

"And now our nominees for Best Sci-Fi."

On the screen behind Bryson played clips from each television series nominated for this award. Non of them caught my interest until The Opposite came onto screen and a clip of William shirtless played for a couple of seconds. I almost choked on my water.

"And your winner for Best Sci-Fi Television Series is." The host began opening the envelope slowly for dramatic effect. "The Opposite!"

The entire table erupted in cheers. William pulled me into a kiss before following the rest of the cast onto the stage while the other celebrities and audience clapped.

William of course was in charge of speaking. "I want to thank the producers and directors. You guys are the reason this show has become so successful. I also want to thank all the fans who got us to this stage," he looked at the golden award in his hand, "you guys are wonderful. Thank you."

The crowd erupted in cheers again louder this time as they walked off backstage.

They came back to the table at the commercial break after the winners of Best Romance, Best Fantasy, and Best Horror series were announced.

"Congratulations." I smiled at William first before looking at everyone else.

"Stop sucking up. You're not getting any brownie points." Antonio spat.

Robin elbowed him hard in the ribs before looking at me with a smile, ignoring Antonio painful expression "Thank you Cassie."

It was time for the final awards of the night.

"And you're winner for Best Looking Actress and Actor are." I could feel the tension in the air around us.

"Zoe Hall and Antonio Beverly!" The crowd broke out in cheers.

Antonio rised from our table with pride, giving a smug look at William as he walked towards the stage.

"Thank you. Thank you. Thank you." Antonio took charge of speaking in the microphone before Zoe. Rude if you ask me. "I wanna thank my parents for giving me the good side of the gene pool anand my personal physical trainer keeping me in the best shape possible."

"He doesn't have a personal trainer," Robin snickers. "He doesn't even work out, those abs on television are painted on."

I hold back my laugh before looking back to the stage to see Zoe standing at the mic while Antonio smiles proudly behind her.

"This is an amazing honor but I wanna point out to every single girl out there that you're beautiful in your own way and you don't need an award to show it." She smiled at the gliding camera just a few feet in front of her, "keep doing you. Thank you."

The both walked off stage clapping and exchanging handshakes with each other.

"At least we won't have to see either of them for the rest of the night." Jessica joked.

I could feel William's grip tighten when the host came back on stage.

"And now it's the best award any actor could earn. The Best Actor or Actress!"

Every cheered louder than the entire night with every other award.

"Here's your nominees for Best Youngest Actor or Actress." The host stepped aside as the giant screen behind him started to show pictures and small clips of the actors and actresses nominated. People cheered after each one.

When William came up, Jessica, Robin, and I cheered as loud as we could. William looked at me with a smile mid cheer making my heart flutter.

"And your winner is." He struggled opening the sealed envelope. Probably physically exhausted and has way too many paper cuts on his fingers.

"William Everest!"

I was the first to shoot up from my seat. William wiped around quickly pulling me into him with his hands before kissing me deeply, seemed like a trend now that I could definitely get use to. My cheeks were burning bright when he pulled away and made his way to the stage.

I readjusted my dress and say back down.

"If I didn't know about the whole contract I'd actually be mistaken that you guys are really dating." Robin smiled.

"You idiot." Jessica slapped Robins arm, "they obviously have feelings for each other especially after that kiss. On live television."

I shut out their words as I placed all my attention on William as hell accepted his award. The award that would grant him more opportunities for him in the future according to Angie.

"This is absolutely unbelievable." William struggled at first to get the words out. "You guys are absolutely amazing first off!" The audience cheers were loud. "I wanna thank my friend Lucas for helping me rehearse my lines at two in the morning." People laughed at this comment. "I wanna thank my cast mates for everything they've done and," he hesitated while staring at the trophy before looking up making eye contact with me, "and I wanna thank Cassie Gray for showing me that true love exists even when it seems impossible at times."

"Boy got game." Jessica mumbled under her breath.

"Thank you!" He waved to the crowd before walking off backstage.

I looked over and saw Zoe Hall giving me a looked that made my stomach twist itself into knots.

◻◼◻◼◻◼◻

I waited for William outside of the venue away from all the paparazzi and celebrities celebration. I pulled my glass heels off and sat them next time me on the cement wall.

I saw the glass door open and William walk out, arms wide with trophy in hand. "I did it. I'm officially the Best Youngest Actor worldwide!" He shouted to the world causing me to laugh.

"Congratulations." I said with a smile.

He sat the trophy down next to my heels then proceeded to hold my hands. His fingers were want wt the touch, warming up my cold hands.

"I couldn't of done it without you." He whispered.

"Last time I checked we met after you filmed the first two seasons." I grin.

He smiles, gently pulling me in, "still. You are probably the best thing that could of happened to me."

I rested my head against his chest, listening to the sound of his heartbeat. It was almost like nothing could go wrong.

Yet life just wanted you turn my world upside down.

William and I were laying on his hotel bed cuddling up against each other in more comfortable clothes when my phone rang.

I got out of bed and pulled it to my ear.

My heart shattered in a million pieces after that.
