What did I get myself into? I spent the last couple hours reviewing that contract. Going over all the small details since that's what the internet said you should do. Yet once I officially signed it, its like my mind went blank.

I could feel my hand getting sweaty so when William finally let it go when we got to the elevator. I silently sighed in relief.

"So." he finally broke the silence that filled the air. "My room or yours?"

"Excuse me?" I said, taking me by complete shock.

"Well we got an hour until we head to breakfast so I thought maybe we should actually learn stuff about each other." He grins. Like how you lied about your identity?"

"Oh. I guess yours. Probably cleaner than mine right now."

He smiled. "Alright."

When we got to his room, he left me to in first. Probably trying to practice his gentlemen skills before it really counts out in the real world.

He took a seat at his bed and I pulled myself a chair. We just sorta stared at each other until I decided to learn more about what I was getting myself into since the internet didn't really give an actual answer to that question.

"So what are the paparazzi actually like?" I asked since it was the first thing that came to mind.

"Have you ever had a leech stuck on you?"

"Not that I know of."

"Well they are exactly like that. You gotta watch your every move because they could be anywhere." He smiled yet it didn't seem sincere. "I once had one take a pic of me in the shower, my father paid a lot of money to have that one be destroyed."

"Lovely." I said, bitting my lip nervously. "So I should probably never leave my hotel unless I have too after today."

"Yeah." He said softly.

I looked around his room. The curtains were opened wide reveling the city surrounding us. My eyes followed the walls until I spotted the same cover from two weeks ago.

"You actually kept it?"

William turned to see what I was staring at. "Uh yeah."

"Why?" I say kind of rude, "I mean you just don't seem like the reading type."

"And what does the reading type seem like?" He asked with a side smirk.

"Uh. They, uh. I mean they-" I stumbled over my own words. My mind holding my tongue back since I might say something I might regret.

"Of course I kept it. You told me it was the best romance I'll ever read. Just had to make sure you weren't lying."

How? How could someone talk as if they aren't special at all. He seems like this isn't as awkward as it is. There's not one sign of nervousness on his entire face. It's almost inhuman.

"Hey I'm sorry about all this." He breaks the awkward silence. "I didn't know that the paparazzi would find me at that book store, let alone get a picture of us. Then the whole thing with my father wanting you to pretend date me when you obviously probably hate me since I lied, for three months until you break my heart. Pretending to shatter it in a million pieces in front of everyone in the entire world who will probably hate your guts for the rest of your life."

"Well when you put it that way." I grin yet the nerves inside me were triggering.

"I'm serious." He stood up and looked out of the window.

I felt that I needed to say something. Something that we could both agree on. I stood up and walked up besides him.

"Listen I chose this because of what it would do to my family. Besides, three months isn't a long time. I think I can hold in my hate for that long."

I saw a small smile appear on his face. Maybe even a small laugh slipped through his lips.

"Or you'll start to hate me even more?" He widened his smile a little bit more.

"That too." I grin.

"Do you wanna go get a coffee or something?" He then asks with a friendly smile.

"I think I might need three cups of coffee. This jet lag is whooping me." I joke. For the first time, I heard him actually laugh. Not one of those awkward laughs just because there's nothing else to do. No, it was one of those laughs that make you feel good about yourself. In fact, it even make my body tingle a bit.

William came back from the counter and handed me my coffee. I smiled a thanks while he sat down across from me, sipping his slowly.

"Besides reading," he said after a sip. "What other things do you like to do?"

"And why is that important?" I ask.

He sighed and I grinned. "I'm just kidding. I enjoy writing." I smiled. Taking another gulp from my coffee. Waiting for it to reboot my system and actually wake me up for once.

"Other than the English major in college." He grins.

"Right." I also grin at him. "I uh, well. I don't really know."

"Really?"

"Its not like I explore every hobby in the entire world." I protest. "Besides its hard being put on the spot."

"Its not that hard. I enjoy acting, doing my own stunts."

"That worked out for you well didn't it." I smile, looking at his injured shoulder.

"How'd you know?" He then says.

"Remember how my sister is obsessed with you. Besides it doesn't take a genius to look up theories on what happened to your arm." I smile.

"Anyways, I also enjoy movie reviews."

"Alright, what else do you like besides stuff in the acting world?" I out him on the spot.

"Oh that's easy. Creating music."

"Wow your like the total package. Hot, successful, plays music. Every girls dream guy." I swoon in a joking matter.

"You think I'm hot?"

"Half the globe thinks you're hot. Don't get ahead of yourself." I glare.

"Right." He taps his cup with his pointer finger. "Sometimes I forget that you know."

"Famous. Yeah must be a really hard life. Everyone wanting to be your friend. Money." I roll my eyes but he doesn't catch me.

"I don't know. Meeting you made me feel somewhat normal." He blurts out.

"The part where you lied and said your name was Kevin?" I ask.

He chuckled slightly even though it wasn't a joke. "You were the first person I met that didn't know about me more than I know myself. I panicked."

"I guess I wouldn't understand." I say, also tapping my cup nervously.

My eyes darted to when Williams phone vibrated on the table.

"It's my father. Time for breakfast he says. Car is out front." He grabbed my cup of coffee and handed it to the hotel waitress walking by. Slipping a small bill to her before leading me to the main lobby.

His bodyguard met up with us at the front door. William looked down at me, "you ready?"

"More ready than I'll ever be." I lie. maybe if I tell myself that the butterflies will disappear and I can have some sort of fake confidence.

He held out his hand which I grabbed. I felt his grip tighten when the doors opened.

Instantly flashes from cameras blinded me.

"William who is this?"

"Is this mystery girl?"

"What's your name mystery girl?"

Something inside me just told me to keep walking. As we got deeper into the proud of cameramen, William's grip grew so tight I thought my hand was going to break. Shatter in a million pieces just like my previous life.

It seemed like an entirety before I felt myself get shoved into the black SUV. A couple seconds later William was sitting besides me, readjusting his hair in the rearview mirror.

"It gets easier right?" I ask again.

He looked at me for awhile before smiling. "Yeah."

I didn't smile, instead I looked out the car window and saw the paparazzi reviewing the photos they took of us, me. I couldn't help but think that this would be a goodbye to the person I once knew. A goodbye that would last the next three months.
