|Cassie|

I didn't know my wish would come true, but I know for a fact that is not how I wanted it to actually happen.

It was around seven when Clarke was able to get onto the freeway. I couldn't stop staring at my phone, waiting for a text that would explain everything that just happened the last three hours in a half. Or maybe a text that will actually confirm that Kevin is actually a real person and he just has some doppelganger if some sort. That has to be it.

"Cassie you okay?" Clarke looked iver at me quickly.

I gulped down the lump that somehow formed on my throat. "Yeah, I'm fine. Just tired."

"You aren't getting out of going to the party that easy." She smiles.

"Eh, worth a shot." I say sarcastically.

The party, maybe I can get my night off Kevin, I mean William, then.

After two hours of driving, actually it was more an hour in a half, we finally pulled onto the road where Marcus's buddy lives. Clarke turned over the engine shutting it off and we both got out of the car.

"Be back here in an hour." Clarke told me.

"Deal." I yawn. That would be no problem for me, I don't wanna be in here in the first place.

Now I could say that this party was just like how movies and the books explain them to be. Wild teenagers drinking some sort of alcohol and breaking everything. Well, it wasn't hundred percent true.

There was alcohol by the smell of it, there were lots of people dancing and mingling with others, and from the looks of it a ton of game with some involving alcohol.

I walked over into the kitchen and examined the selections of drinks. It wasn't until I opened the fridge when I found a perfectly unopened apple juice just sitting there calling my name. I didn't see any empty cups that didn't reek of alcohol nearby so I just placed the apple juice back inside. Shutting the fridge once again.

"Cassie." I jumped and Marcus began to laugh. "This is the second time I've made you jump today."

I attempted to laugh it off, "I guess you should stop sneaking up on me then."

"I'm so glad you made it." He smiled. There was no smell of alcohol in his breath which was definitely a plus since I won't have to have a conversation with a drunken teenager.

"Do you mind if we go somewhere quieter to talk?" He asked, pointing to his ears.

"Yes." I yelled over the now loud music.

"Great, follow me." He said before making his way through the crowd of semi-drunk teenagers.

I followed him into another room where the music was only echoing off the walls.

"That's much better." He said turning to me.

I sat down on the stairs since my legs were absolutely exhausted after standing practically all day. Marcus sat down next to me. Close enough where our thighs were touching each other.

"So do you do things like this often?" I asked, making some sort of conversation.

"Actually no. Its just Brandon's older brother birthday party and I promised I'd come." He explains.

"That would explain how he was able to get a hold of the alcohol." I laugh awkwardly.

"Yeah. Im not a big drinker, let alone any drinker for that matter so I try my best to stay away from that." He smiled softly at me.

"Me too." I say in agreement. "Just not my thing I guess."

"Tell me about it. If our coach caught any of us here, half the football team would be kicked off."

"Wow." I say in disbelief.

"So what do you like to do besides reading all the time?" Marcus then asked me.

"That's a hard one." I paused when I felt my phone vibrate in my bra. "Can you uh, excuse me for a second?"

"Of course." He says kindly.

"Thank you." I stand up and begin walking away, pulling out my phone to check who texted me.

Kevin name flashed on the screen.

Kevin 9:15 p.m
Cassie I can explain

Cassie 9:17
Explain what? That you happen to be the biggest heartthrob in the world and didn't bother telling me.

Kevin 9:17
I didn't want you to treat me any differently if you found out who I really was. I panicked when you asked my name, you obviously didn't recognize me.

Cassie 9:18
You do realize you lied to me right?

Kevin 9:18
I know and I'm sorry.

Kevin 9:19
I'm so sorry Cassie

I shut my phone off and walked back to where Marcus was waiting for me.

"Who was that?" He asked.

"Just a telemarketer." I lied. "Where was I?"

It's been two weeks since I guess William and I spoke. I never been so happy that I didn't have to see or talk to him every again.

I rolled out of my bed and I have never been so excited for it to be the weekend and to top it off, no homework whatsoever to be done.

I pulled a comfy cream colored sweater over myself as I felt the days starting to get a tiny bit colder.

I walked into the kitchen and filled Cress's food and water bowl before preparing myself some breakfast and my morning coffee brew.

"Want waffles or pancakes?" I asked Clarke when she walked into the room and headed straight for the television to watch her morning news.

"Pancakes!" Dad yelled from the other room.

"Works for me." Clarke agreed. Planting herself onto the couch. Grabbing Cress to cuddle up with her.

I began to mix up the batter when Dad decided to join us in the kitchen.

"So what are my two favorite daughters plans for today?" He asked, sitting on the barstool watching me pour the batter into the pan.

"Rue and I are hanging out to watch William's Everest interview." Clarke explained.

I almost groaned when I heard his name but proceeded to stop myself.

"How about you Cassie?" Dad asked, turning to look back at me.

"I was thinking about going to the bookstore and check out the new releases. Maybe talk to Katie about getting some winter hours." I explain.

"Sounds like a plan." Dad smiles. "If you girls want maybe we could head downtown and go to the mall or whatever you teenage girls are into."

"The mall sounds amazing!" Clarke cheered from the couch.

"Would we go to the good mall that happens to have one of biggest book stores by it in the entire city of NorthBrooks?"

"That would be the one." Dad added.

"Then a thousand times yes."

Dad looked over at the television screen and approached it like a moth drawn to a flame.

"Uh Cassie you might want to come look at this." Clarke called me.

"Look at what?" I took the pan off the oven and walked over to the television screen.

"Turn it up." Dad commanded.

"Latest photos suggest that the heartthrob celebrity William Everest has been caught mingling with a potential lover. These photos prove that they once been seen together." The news caster explained right before a photo of someone who obviously was William was caught talking to a girl inside a bookstore. It was a photo taken through the window. "Later in that week William must of recognize that girl as a photographer caught him off guard as he turned the corner where this mystery girl was standing at a nearby vending machine. Now the real question is who is this mystery girl and who is she to our beloved celebrity William Everest? This is Paige Nicole reporting to you live, back to you Jerry."

Clarke turned off the TV and Dad slowly turned towards me. He obviously knows that I happen to be the mystery girl.

I was in complete shock at the fact that those photos are being broadcasted worldwide.

Dad cleared his throat. "You have a lot of explaining to do."

I gulped. I never thought I'd have to talk about this ever again.
