She had stars in her eyes
And oceans in her mind;
But she was just another caged bird,
In search of Free rein.

But naïve girl didn't understand,
Taming a sky it wasn't in her hand;
She was meant to please the king,
Trapped inside a golden ring.

One day she got a chance
But the cost was her feathery arms
And she fell from the cage,
bleeding ruby red.

Her dreams were shattered
But she rise;
As she was no longer
A trapped life.
