Adella and Leia were in a cave. The pair hadn't reached the ark yet and it was getting dark. So, Adella found a cave where they could relax and sleep in.
Adella and Leia had bonded slightly in a day, and that only made Adella want to protect her even more. The young girl was sweet and soft.
Leia was sat in front of Adella, the fire illuminating their faces. Adella was braiding leias hair, the fire tickling their skin.
"How did you learn to braid?" Leia suddenly asked Adella, a curious look on her face.
Adella smiled softly, continuing to braid her hair. "I taught myself." Adella answered with a small shrug. "Being up in space is pretty boring. Far too much spare time." Adella grinned as leia nodded her head.
"Didn't your mom teach you?" Leia asked and Adella bit the inside of her mouth.
"My mother died when I was young. It was just me and my dad." Adella answered in a low voice. "And my dad didn't know a thing about hair." She softly chuckled.
"I'm sorry." Leia said, immediately feeling guilty as Adella finished braiding her hair.
"It's fine, kid. You didn't know." Adella patted her shoulders. Leia turned around and Adella gave her a smile. "You should get some rest."
Leia nodded her head as she got comfortable, laying her head on Adella's lap. Adella had taken off her jacket and laid it over Leia, as a blanket.
Adella felt protective over leia. She didn't know why, she only knew the girl for two days. Maybe because Leia reminded her of herself. Or maybe she didn't want to be lonely.
The two had set off after they had woken up. It was quite and peaceful, which Adella liked. Sometimes the quiet is nice.
Adella missed having her hat. She felt bare without it, and she didn't like that. So she had braided her hair at the top then put her hair in a pony tail.
"Are we almost there?" Leia asked, a groan leaving her lips as she looked up at the trees.
"I don't know yet." Adella sighed, turning to face her.
"All this walking." Leia groaned, twirling her knife in her hand. "My feet are tired."
"Come on kid." Adella chuckled, patting her back with a smile. "Let's try and find some food."
The two walked into the woods, staring at the numerous trees. Leia suddenly came to a holt, making Adella stop. "Shh." Leia whispered as she pointed to a small animal, it was a rabbit. Adella slowly crouched down, pulling an arrow out and silently placing it in her bow. "You know how to properly use it?" Leia asked in a whispered tone.
"Kind of." Adella muttered as she closed one eye, aiming the arrow at the animal. "First time was just luck." Adella bit her tongue as she breathed out, letting go of the string and watching it fly past the animal. "Fuck."
They watched as the animal jumped, turning towards the bush they hid behind. "Throw your knife." Leia told her making Adella frown. "You told me that you was good at knife throwing."
Adella nodded her head as she grabbed the small knife out of her pocket, twirling the knife in her hand before throwing it at the animal, successfully hitting it, the animal falling to the floor. "See." Amelia smiled. "You just need to work on your bow skills." Leia grinned as they jumped out of the bush and towards the now dead animal. "I can skin this, but we need to make a fire."
Adella nodded her head as she picked up the rabbit and her knife, she then turned to the arrow on the floor, placing it back in her holder. "Come on."
Murphy, Finn, Bellamy and two other kids were hid behind a log, using the scope on their guns, to see into the grounder village.
"This is it. Told you I'd find it." Murphy said proudly, looking at the group, who were unimpressed.
"See nothing but Grounders. Our people aren't here." Bellamy shook his head, looking away from the scope and to the group.
"Wait a minute. They've got stuff from our dropship. So, maybe they know where our friends are." Finn said as he looked through the scope, his face twisting into a glare.
"Or maybe they killed them already." Murphy added, earning a glare from Bellamy.
"Son of a bitch." Finn cursed, still looking in the scope.
"What is it?" Bellamy asked, turning back to Finn.
"The guy with the one eye. Around his neck." Finn pointed to one of the grounders. "And the grounder beside him, look what he's holding." Finn spoke.
"What am I looking at?" Bellamy asked as he looked though his scope, frown on his face.
"He's got Clarke's watch. It was her father's. She wouldn't give that up without a fight." Finn said.
"And the other grounder?" Murphy asked, raising a brow.
"He had Adella's hat in his hands, she also wouldn't give that up without a fight." Finn said. "it was her mothers." Glare still on his face, he eyed the grounders.
Murphy's heart dropped at the mention of her name. "Neither will we." Bellamy said, dedicated to get the two girls belongs back and save the 100.
Adella and Leia continued to walk as they came across multiple bodies. Adella crouched down and turned to Leia. "Do you still have your knife?" Adella uttered, raising a brow.
Leia nodded as she pulled it out of her holder and Adella nodded, pulling out her bow and arrow. "Stay behind me."
The two of them followed the trail of bodies, Adella's face filled with disgust. "Who are these people?" Leia asked.
"I think they're from the ark." Adella told her. "They must of not survived the landing." She swallowed thickly, anxious for her father.
Leia was about to say something until they heard someone speaking. Adella stopped as she heard the voices.
"Is it one of your people." Leia asked, raising a brow as she squeezed the knife in her hand.
"I don't know, make sure you're ready to attack incase they threaten us." Adella said, lifting her bow up. "Be careful."
Leia nodded as she followed Adella. The two came out of the grass, to see people looking down the cliff.
"Well, I'd say he's heard one too many of your motivational speeches." Adella heard a familiar voice.
Adella lowered her bow. "Murphy?" She frowned. All of them turned towards her, shock, happiness and confusion written on their face. "Put your knife back, it's okay, they're my friends." Adella told Leia and Leia did as told, cautiously. "Finn." Adella breathed out as the boy looked at her with a wide smile.
Finn jogged towards the girl, without thinking for a second, and pulled her into a hug. "I'm glad you're okay." He told her, holding onto the back of her head as his other arm wrapped around her waist.
Adella held onto him, afraid he'd disappear yet again. "Cant get rid of me that easy." Adella smiled as she pulled out of the hug. She turned to Bellamy, who also pulled her into a hug. Adella was surprised at first, but hugged him back.
"I'm sorry." Bellamy said as she pulled out of the hug with a frown on her face, tilting her head.
"Why?" She asked him, holding onto his arm with the frown still on her face.
"Because I left you with that grounder, you could of died." Bellamy sighed as Adella tilted her head, rolling her eyes.
"Don't go all soft on me, Blake." Adella squeezed his arm before letting go. "We're supposed to hate each other." She shook her head, a grin on both of their faces. "Besides, I'm alive and well. That grounder didn't stand a chance." She nudged Bellamy's arm, making him chuckle.
"I don't think I'll be getting one of those." Murphy spoke from beside Bellamy, Adella gritting her teeth. He did shoot her best friend in the leg.
Adella turned to Murphy, but instead of hugging him, her right fist made contact with his jaw. The others around them pulled an awkward look as Murphy held his jaw in his hands, before nodding. "I deserved that one."
Adella sighed before also pulling Murphy into a hug, surprising herself and Murphy. "You pull that shit again, next time I will break your jaw." Adella told him. "I'm glad you're okay." Adella wanted to be mad at him—she had to be mad at him, but for some reason, she couldn't.
Bellamy turned to Finn with a frown and Finn shrugged, turning back to the cliff. Leia had already taken her place on a rock, carving a line into it out of boredom.
"I know." Murphy nodded his head, squeezing her arm. "I'm glad you're okay and y'know, not ashes like the grounders." He joked as Adella groaned.
Adella pulled out of the hug, rolling her eyes at his comment and looked towards Leia, making sure he didn't hear his comment. She then turned back to him, sending him a look before looking down at his wrist. "My hat." She pointed at it, a smile making its way onto her face.
Murphy looked down at his wrist, where Adella's hat was tied. "Oh yeah, I found it at a grounder camp." He took it off his wrist and gave it to Adella, who took it quickly.
Adella grinned as she placed it on her head. "Thank you." Murphy nodded his head at Adella, a smile on his face. "But, I still hate you." She reminded as she quickly turned around, walking towards Leia as Murphy chuckled, watching her leave.
Adella walked over to Leia, sitting down beside her. The guys hadn't asked who she was, yet, surprising her. "You okay?" Adella asked her.
"Yeah." Leia nodded her head, eyes still on the stake she was carving.
Bellamy was about to ask who Leia was but the rope broke, making the kid fall. They all tried to grab it but it was too late.
"Mel! Mel, hold on. Focus on me." Bellamy told her in a panicked voice. Adella was quick to stand up, as did Leia as they watched with wide eyes.
"I'm not strong! Stubborn, maybe." She called up, fear evident in her voice.
"So be stubborn a little longer. I'm not gonna let you die, you hear me?" Bellamy told her.
"We're out of rope." Finn informed him, his eyes wide.
"So we make a new one." Bellamy pointed out the obvious.
"If anything happens to our friends, when we could..." Finn started but Bellamy cut him off.
"We don't know if we could save our friends. For all we know, they may be dead already. We've all thought it. But what we do know is we could save this one girl." Bellamy shook his head at Finn.
"How do we do it?" Murphy asked, walking towards them as Adella stayed beside Leia.
"We make new rope from the wreckage. Go find wires, seatbelts, anything." Bellamy told them.
Murphy nodded his head as he started to walk away, stopping beside Adella and placing his hand on her shoulder. "Come on." He told her. Adella rolled her eyes, looking down at Leia and signalled for Leia to follow and leia did, getting up and walking behind the two.
