ADELLA SAT OUTSIDE OF CAMP,
her back against the new wall the 100 had built. It was early in the morning and only a few people were awake. She pulled out the letter out of her pocket and unfolded it.

Adella bit her lip as she scanned over her father's rough writing. It briefly explained that life support on the ark is failing and how she needed to make sure to keep her wristband on—and help the 100.

What she didn't expect was for the paper to be ripped out of her hand. "Well aren't you an early bird." Adella rolled her eyes and she stood up, brushing the dirt off her, her eyes glaring at the suspect. "What's this?" Murphy inspected the paper. "You got a pen pall?"

"Nothing, can I have it back?" Adella asked, crossing her arms over her chest, unimpressed with his antics.

Murphys eyes scanned over the paper. "Daddy dearest write this for you?" He asked her, smirk on his face. "Life support is failing on the ark." He hummed with interest. "That's why they sent us down here." Murphy slowly nodded his head as Adella groaned, rolling her eyes.

"Are you done, John?" Adella asked, raising her eyebrows. "Because I would rather stab my eyes out before having a conversation with you." He raised his hand, paper still in it, as Adella went to grab it.

He pointed a finger at her, ignoring her snide comment. "Daddy dearest is on the council and that's how he knows what's going on." He grinned as she frustratingly threw her arms up in the air, muttering unkind words. He knew how to get under her skin and it humoured him. But she also knew how to get under his.

Adella walked towards him and ripped the paper out of his hands. "Muy divertido." She glared at him.

Murphy frowned, not understanding what she said but he didn't have time to question it as she had already walked back into camp, fixing her cap.

Adella, put it nicely, hated John Murphy. He knew how to tick her off and he enjoyed it. But Adella knew how to tick him off.

It seemed like Adella was the only one who still had her wristband on. Only a few kept theirs on whilst everyone else had taken theirs off.

She didn't mind that people took them off, she just didn't want to scare her father. It was their choice after all.

Adella was talking with Fox, gossiping, when there was a scream. Adella and Fox jumped up, as did everyone else, to see Murphy hold a girl, her face close to the fire.

Adella eyes widen as he chuckled, looking up at Bellamy, praying he'd stop it. "Bellamy. Check it out. We want the Ark to think that the ground is killing us, right? Figure it'll look better if we suffer a little bit first."

Wells pushed Murphy, making the girl fall and Adella quickly went to her side, to see if she was okay. "You can stop this." Wells told Bellamy who shook his head. Adella quickly helped the girl to the side, checking for any injuries.

"You okay?" Adella uttered as she looked up at the girl, who nodded her head, a grateful smile on her lips. "Good."

"Stop this? I'm just getting started." He smirked as Murphy hit Wells, the kids cheering him on. Adella was about to intervene when Bellamy took a hold of her arm.

"déjame ir. tu sucio-" She elbowed Bellamy in the stomach but he kept a tight hold of her, only making her even more frustrated.

Wells was on top of Murphy, throwing a punch at him before standing up, signalling for Bellamy to let go of Adella. "Don't you see you can't control this?" Wells asked Bellamy as he let go of Adella.

"You're dead." Murphy mumbled to Wells as he pulled out a knife but Bellamy walked in between them.

"Wait. Fair fight." Bellamy said as he gave Wells a knife. Adella shook her head, this isn't going to go well.

"Are you insane!" She glared at him. Bellamy only smirked at her before turning around to face the two. "Finn is going to kill me." She mumbled, knowing she had zero power over the situation. And she did not want to get in between a knife fight. "This ain't my fault." She shook her head at the scene, moving to stand back beside Fox. "These fools."

Wells hesitated at first but picked it up. The two circled around each other until Murphy went for Wells. "This is for my father!"

Luckily for Wells, he grabbed Murphy and put the knife to his throat. "Wells! Let him go!" Clarke yelled as her and Finn walked towards them. Adella breathed out, thanking the gods above, turning to the group.

Finn turned to Adella, seeing if she was okay and she nodded. Adella turned to see Octavia with a injured leg which made her jog towards them. "Tavia, what happened?" Octavia shook her head.

"I'm fine." Octavia told her, a confident smile on her face as she leaned into Adella.

"Octavia. Are you all right?" Bellamy asked as he walked over. "Where's the food?" Bellamy then immediately asked.

Adella counted heads and saw one of them was missing. "Hey where's Jasper?" She asked them all, a frown painting her face as she looked for the boy. But he wasn't there.

"We didn't make it to Mount Weather." Octavia shook her head, a worried look on her face.

"We were attacked." Clarke announced as everyone gasped. Adella's eyes widened as she turned to Clarke. Attacked?

"Attacked? By what?" Bellamy asked, reading Adella's thoughts as he also turned to Clarke Griffin.

"Not what. Who. It turns out, when the last man from the ground died on the Ark, he wasn't the last Grounder." Finn spoke, shaking his head as he moved to stand beside Adella.

"It's true. Everything we thought we knew about the ground is wrong. There are people here, survivors. The good news is, that means we can survive. Radiation won't kill us." Clarke added.

"Yeah, the bad news is the Grounders will." Finn announced as Adella bit the inside of her cheek, looking up at Finn with worried eyes.

"And to answer your question," Clarke turned to Adella with pursed lips. "Jasper was hit. They took him." Clarke said and Adella's eyes widen. Clarke turned to Wells. "Where is your wristband?"

Wells shook his head as it clicked for Adella, her eyes turning to Bellamy. "Ask him." Wells told Clarke, referring to Bellamy.

"How many?" Clarke asked as Adella clenched her jaw, eying the older Blake.

"Twenty-four and counting." Murphy stood proud, smirk on his face as Adella narrowed her eyes.

"You idiots. Life support on the Ark is failing! That's why they brought us down here. They need to know the ground is survivable again, and we need their help against whoever is out there. If you take off your wristbands, you're not just killing them. You're killing us!" Clarke announced. Adella caught Murphy acting surprised, acting like he didn't know. He must of not told his little friends what Adella's father wrote to her.

"We're stronger than you think. Don't listen to her. She's one of the privileged. If they come down, she'll have it good. How many of you can say the same? We can take care of ourselves. That wristband on your arm? It makes you a prisoner. We are not prisoners anymore! They say they'll forgive your crimes. I say you're not criminals! You're fighters, survivors! The Grounders should worry about us!" Bellamy yelled as the kids around them cheered.

"You think a bunch of teenagers can fight them." Adella spoke up, looking at Bellamy with a slight glare. "What if there is more of them than us?" She breathed out as she spoke to the kids around them. "What do we have to protect ourself apart from some small pocket knifes? You're delusional." Adella scoffed as Bellamy stood all high and proud. "If people want to take theirs off fine, but you can't force everyone too." Adella glared at Bellamy and Murphy as she walked away, Clarke right behind her.

The blonde couldn't help but stare in awe at the girl and how she held herself. Adella knew what to say and when to, and Clarke admired that. That's something the two girls shared. They knew how to take charge when times got tough.

Clarke hoped she could from a friendship with the Espinosa girl. She had always heard stories of Adella from Wells, and Clarke found her amazing.

"What do we do now?" Monty asked Clarke as the three walked side by side.

"Now we go after Jasper." Clarke told them. And Adella was 100% going and helping to find Jasper. She wanged a friendship with the boy. He was extremely funny, and Adella felt the urge to protect him with every fibre she had in her.

"Exactly what blondie said." Adella nodded at Clarke, flashing her a small smile.

Adella walked side by side with Clarke, a pack around her body. "She would have been if Jasper didn't jump in to pull her out." Clarke told Bellamy, interrupting his and Octavia's conversation.

"That's why we're off to go save him, rescue mission." Adella added, giving Octavia a smile. "Jasper is one of us, we can't leave him."

"You guys leaving? I'm coming, too." Octavia spoke but Bellamy stopped her, sitting her back down.

"No, no. No way. Not again." He shook his head, not wanting his sister in any more danger.

"He's right. Your leg's just gonna slow us down." Clarke told her with a sympathetic smile on her face. "I'm here for you." Clarke told Bellamy as Wells and Adella's face dropped.

"Clarke, what are you doing?" Wells asked.

"Yeah Clarke, what are you doing?" Adella turned her head to face Clarke, her eyes wide. Adella wasn't the biggest fan of Bellamy, which was evident. She had began to ponder, how did he get on the drop ship?

"I hear you have a gun." Clarke said and Bellamy lifted up his top to reveal the gun. "Good. Follow me."

"And why would I do that?" Bellamy asked.

"Because you want them to follow you, and right now, they're thinking only one of us is scared." Clarke shrugged her shoulders.

"Murphy. Come with me." Adella squeezed her eyes shut, turning to Wells, who also didn't look happy. "Atom? My sister doesn't leave this camp. Is that clear?" Bellamy spoke as Adella rolled her eyes even more. Great, two assholes that wouldn't miss their shot to kill Wells when they had a chance. Looked like Adella had to Wells once again, not that she cared, she liked Wells.

Octavia rolled her eyes at her brother, quickly getting up and walking further into camp and going to find Fox.

"Let's go." Bellamy told them as Adella stayed beside Clarke, not in the mood to talk to anyone else.

"Those guys aren't just bullies, Clarke. They're dangerous criminals." Wells told Clarke as they walked in front of the two.

"I'm counting on it." Clarke spoke, holding onto the pack that was strapped around her shoulder.

"Don't worry Wells, me and blondie will make sure those fools don't go near you." Adella turned to walk backwards, flashing both Clarke and Wells a smile. Clarke grinned, rolling her eyes at Adella's antics. And Wells, he was grateful.

Bellamy and Murphy walked behind them. "Since when are we in the rescuing business, huh?" Murphy asked, raising a brow as he turned to Bellamy.

"The Ark thinks the prince is dead. Once they think the princess is, too, they'll never come down. Also Adella's, she seems persistent on keeping hers on. I'm getting their wristbands, even if I have to cut off their hands to do it." Bellamy told Murphy.

"Hey, hold up. What's the rush? You don't survive a spear through the heart." Bellamy asked as he held his gun high and proud.

"Hopefully they aim for you next. Or your little lapdog." She told him, directing her last words to Murphy. "Besides, you got infinite bullets?" She asked him as Bellamy face faulted. "Thought so."

Murphy chuckled at her statement to only earn a glare from Bellamy. "Put the gun away, Bellamy." Wells told Bellamy before he could reply to Adella.

"Well, why don't you do something about it, huh?" Murphy grabbed Wells as Adella pushed him away.

"Can you boys not have a cat fight for five minutes? Jasper's life is on the line and you're rather have a cat fight to see who's better than the other." She asked the three, to which none of them replied to her. "idiotas." She scoffed, shaking her head at them.

Adella wanted to help Jasper—make sure he was alive. And she would make sure Bellamy and Murphy didn't come inbetween that.

"Jasper screamed when they moved him. If the spear struck his heart, he'd have died instantly. It doesn't mean we have time to waste." Clarke told him but Bellamy grabbed her arm.

"As soon as you and Adella take your wristbands off, we can go." Bellamy told them as Clarke glared up at him.

Adella scoffed, holding onto Clarke's arm and pulling her behind her, Adella glaring up at Bellamy. Clarke's eyes widened at Adella, looking at her hand on Clarke's wrist.

"Or what, you're going to shoot us? Like I said smartass, you don't have infinite bullets." She walked towards him, eyes sharp as she looked up at him. Murphy grabbed her arm and pulled her away from Bellamy, to which she also glared at him, pulling her arm back. "I will break your hand, got it?" She raised a brow, a challenging look on her face as Murphy rolled his eyes, lifting his hands up in defence.

"The only way the Ark is gonna think we're dead is if we're dead. Got it?" Clarke added as she got in Bellamy's face—threatening him to try anything against herself and Adella.

"Brave princess." Bellamy grinned.

"Hey, why don't you find your own nickname?" They all turned to see Finn walked towards them and Adella sighed, relieved that she wouldn't have to put up with the idiots on her own.

"Oh great. Here comes 'space walker.'" Adella rolled her eyes as Finn rested his elbow on her shoulder, making Adella push his arm off, smile on her face.

"You call this a rescue party? Got to split up, cover more ground. Clarke, Adella, come with me." Finn spoke as he walked towards them, pointing at the two girls.

"I'll stick with Wells, don't want him getting jumped by these two imbéciles." Adella told Finn and he hesitated for a minute before nodding. Finn gave the three boys a glare, as if it was a warning—making sure nothing happened to Adella, before turning around and walking with Clarke.

"What does that mean?" Murphy asked as he fell in step with Adella, who turned to him with an unimpressed expression.

Adella gave him a fake smile. "I'll give you some Spanish lessons if you want, so you can find out for yourself." She said as she walked forwards, trying to get away from Murphy and to walk with Wells.

"I'll just might take you up on that offer." Murphy walked beside her, smirk on his face. "So how do you say asshole in Spanish?" He asked her with interest.

"imbéciles." She chuckled as he nodded his head then realisation struck him, small grin on his face.

"So that's what you called us." He made a 'oh' noise. "Should I be offended?" He immediately asked, turning to Adella.

"Yes." Adella told him, a small genuine smile on her face. "Yes you should."
