Finn and Clarke didn't come back from the hunt and there was a search party and Adella was panicking.
The kids in the camp, they were all working together, making land mines, bombs and the lot. Adella was helping Octavia and Jasper with the wall when a shot went off, startling everyone in camp.
They turned to the boy who was on watch. He was reloading his gun when Bellamy grabbed him. "What the hell is the matter with you?"
"I'm sorry, man. I fell asleep. I've been on watch all day." The kid said, his face holding guilt and worry.
"We've all been on watch all day!" Bellamy yelled, his grip tight on the boys collar. Adella went to step forward, but Octavia held her wrist. "That bullet was one less dead grounder." Bellamy yelled in his face.
"Bell, you're scaring people." Octavia pointed out from beside Adella, pointing to the kids around them.
"They should be scared!" He directed his anger at the kids. "The bomb on the bridge bought us some time to prepare, but that time is up! The grounders are out there right now, waiting for us to leave and picking us off one by one when we do!" He yelled to everyone.
"Clarke, Finn, and Monty are gone, probably dead—"Adella clenched her jaw as she watched him with narrowed eyes. Adella could feel jasper tense beside her, making her hold onto his arm. "and if you want to be next, I can't stop you, but no guns are leaving this camp! This camp is the only thing keeping us alive! Get back to work!" He finished off, walking away from the kid.
Adella sighed, giving Octavia and Jasper a small smile as she jumped off the stand she was on and tapped the kid that set off the bullet. "You go have some rest, I'll watch." She gave him a small smile as she took the gun.
"Thank you." He nodded his head at her with a grateful smile as he walked back into the drop ship.
Adella bit her lip nervously, as she kept her eye on the outside, praying that Finn, Clarke and Monty would walk out any second. The grounders could be seconds away from attacking them and they needed Clarke and Finn.
Adella stared at the roof of her tent, trying to get an inch of sleep. Her mind was too busy on Finn and if he was alive or not. She was also sat thinking about Clarke and if she was okay. And Monty. Jasper had been freaking out, making Octavia, Fox and Adella stay by his side. Adella was obviously panicking about Finn, but she pushed that aside to make sure Jasper was okay.
"Penny for your thoughts ads?" Fox's soft voice asked, the girl sitting up in her makeshift bed, making Adella snap out of her thoughts.
"Cant sleep." Adella spoke gently, sitting up and taking her cap off and placing it on her bed. "I'm just— I'm just worried about Finn, Monty and Clarke. And the whole grounder thing on top of that."
"You always worry." Fox commented with a slight smile. "How about I braid your hair and you can tell me all about it?"
Adella smiled as she nodded her head, letting Fox comb through her hair with her fingers.
And they both stayed up, plaiting each other's hair and talking about their worries until they both grew tired and fell asleep.
Jasper had called Adella to help him with the gun powder and she followed him into the drop ship to see Bellamy.
Jasper looked down at the floor whilst Adella gave Bellamy a small nod. Obviously Bellamy took it the wrong way when he looked at Jasper.
"Don't you think I want to go after them, too?" Bellamy turned to the two, a sigh leaving his lips as he directed his words at Jasper.
"Your speech didn't really show that." Adella shrugged her shoulders. "Leave the speeches to Clarke." Jasper couldn't help but let out a little giggle, but dropped it immediately at Bellamy's face.
"If it was you out there, you think Monty, Clarke, or Finn would hide behind these walls?" Jasper added, leaning closer to Adella.
"No. They'd go after me." Bellamy nodded his head as Adella rolled her eyes. "Then, they'd be dead, too. I am doing what I think is right for the group." Bellamy pointed out.
"Yes, but we can't go into a full war without Clarke, Bellamy." Adella commented slightly as she walked towards the ladder.
"It's funny, you didn't think that way when Octavia went missing." Jasper mumbled as he walked towards the ladder.
"Where are you going?" Bellamy asked as Adella was already on the ladder, climbing up.
"Narnia!" She called down to him, annoyance evident in her voice. "Off to go see a lion. Maybe he can help us out. And give us some Turkish delight." Adella continued as she reached the top of the drop ship, moments after, joined by Jasper.
"What's Narnia, Ads?" Jasper asked as Adella's jaw dropped, turning to jasper. What was Narnia?
"You don't know what Narnia is?" Adella gasped as Jasper shook his head. "Wow, Jasp." Adella shook her head as she turned back around, grabbing the gun powder. "I'm disappointed."
The two collected the gun powder and Jasper climbed down the ladder first but stopped. "Jasper, you look like you have seen a ghost." She sighed as she looked down. But Jasper looked more shocked then scared. Maybe a bit of both. "Jasper?"
"He stopped breathing." Adella heard Murphy. Adella's eyes widened as she held onto the gunpowder.
"Who stopped breathing, John?" Adella called down, seen as though Jasper hadn't moved from the ladder.
"I was... I was trying to help him." Murphy added, in a more panicked tone. He didn't realise Adella was in the drop ship.
Jasper nodded as he climbed down slowly. Adella noticed Jasper freeze again before climbing down faster.
Before Adella could climb down, Jasper shouted up to her. "Adella, don't come down! Stay up there!" His worried voice called up to her.
Adella frowned, already climbing down to see Murphy hold Jasper at gun point. "Murphy, just put the gun down." Jasper said, holding his hands up.
Adella was more shocked than scared—eyes wide. She turned her head to see the dead Myles, then back to Murphy. "He tried to kill me." Murphy pointed at the dead boy.
"I know..." Adella slowly nodded her head, tearing her gaze from the kid and back to Murphy. In all honesty, Adella couldn't blame him. Myles was the one to come up with the idea to float Murphy. "Put the gun down, John, we will sort this out." Adella said as she stood in front of Jasper, holding out her hand for the gun.
Jasper went to run out of the drop ship but Murphy stopped him, pointing the gun at him. "Hey, don't move." Murphy yelled at Jasper.
Adella quickly grabbed Jasper's arm, pulling him closer towards her. Murphy was unpredictable at this moment, and she wouldn't let anything happen to Jasper.
"Ok. Ok. It's cool." Jasper nodded his head, one hand held up In front of him as he stood in front of Adella, as if he was protecting her.
"No, it's not." Murphy shook his head, his voice pleading. "You know what'll happen to me if you tell Bellamy." He added as Adella nodded her head.
"We won't tell Bellamy." Adella promised, turning to Jasper, who looked hesitant. "I won't tell Bellamy, okay, John? Just put the gun down."
"Won't tell Bellamy what?" The glitched voice of Bellamy came through the Walkie talkie.
Adella cursed, squeezing her eyes shut as she heard the male's voice. "Give me the radio, Jasper." Murphy held his hand out.
Jasper slowly pulled it out but quickly put it to his mouth. "Murphy has a gun. He killed Myles." He said, quickly, to only be punched to the ground by Murphy.
"Jasper!" Adella quickly crouched to Jaspers side, Murphy moving to close the dropship door. "Murphy, don't." Adella shook her head at him, her voice pleading as she held onto Jasper.
Murphy looked down before pulling the lever up and Adella glared at the boy. Murphy didn't need to look at her to tell she was glaring at him, he could feel it, he could feel her disappointment look.
They could hear Bellamy, Raven, Fox and Octavia yell, but it was cut off as the door closed. "You try to be a hero, Jasper and Adella die!" Murphy yelled before the drop ship door closed.
Adella looked up at him, her lips parting at his weird. "Are you crazy?" The voice crack evident in her voice, her eyes wide. Surely he wouldn't kill them...right?
He didn't answer but instead he tied her up, which took her by surprise. "John, I swear to god, if you don't untie me I will dislocate your hands from your arms!" She cursed as she struggled, wincing as she knocked her shoulder. He didn't answer her, only tying up Jasper. "You're leaving us vulnerable!" She was trying to get through to him. "The grounders could be on their way right now ready to attack us! Everything is in here!" She shook her head at him. He sighed as he crouched down in front of her. "Your little speech, it didn't mean shit!" She scoffed, glaring at him.
"Yeah, well," he sighed as he placed his hand on her thigh. "Things didn't always go as they're planed, Della." Murphy shrugged his shoulders as Adella clenched her jaw. She moved her leg away from him, watching as his arm dropped.
"You won't kill us." Adella laughed, leaning forward trying to test his limits—fighting fire with fire. But she was praying he wouldn't do as he said he would. She was hoping he wouldn't.
"And why is that?" Murphy tilted his head, also leaning forward so their faces wre only inches apart.
"You don't have it in you." She shrugged her shoulders, leaning back, away from his face. "I mean, I guess you killed Myles because he tried to kill you." Adella was panicking. She was just saying the first words that came to her mind. "Then jasper, remember when he stuck up for you against pike. You're really going to kill him?" She hummed, raising a brow. She was challenging him.
Murphy sighed as he moved away from Adella. Adella was right, he wouldn't kill them, but he couldn't show it. "Why shouldn't I kill you?" Morty quickly said as he turned to face her. "You're a waste of air up there and down here, you're useless." He didn't mean anything he was saying but he needed to say it so she wouldn't care when he left.
Adella did care for Murphy. It was evident. They had formed a small bond since they had landed. They had similarities.
And Murphy cared for Adella. Every word that left his lips about her, he didn't mean, but felt guilty for everything he said. Murphy rarely cared for anyone. So why the Espinosa girl?
Adella laughed at first at his comment but stopped as she looked at his face, no emotion shown. Adella bit her bottom lip, nodding her head. "Fuck you." She growled at him.
"I mean come on, Adella." Murphy laughed. "You killed your mother." That comment made Adella freeze. And Murphy immediately felt guilty. He watched as Adella bit her tongue, caring her eyes upwards and blinking religiously. As if she was trying to stop the tears from falling. She would not show him that she was weak. He brought up her mother.
Adella had told him what happened when they were in the shelter, because, she felt that she could trust him. Only Raven, Octavia, Fox, Finn and Murphy knew about it. Adella looked down at her thighs at the comment, bitting back her tears. "I'm glad that shut you up." Murphy commented.
He couldn't bare look at her now after that comment. He knew that she told him that In confidence and now he had used it against her. He cared for her, and Adella cared for him too. But he needed to get out of there.
"You got your dad killed."
Adella's eyes didn't leave her lap as the words spat out of her mouth, like venom. She was fighting fire with fire. She may have been emotional, but Adella was not gonna let Murphy speak down to her.
And this info fuelled Murphy's rage. "What did you say?"
"You head me. You're the reason your dad got floated." Adella narrowed her eyes, finally meeting his eyes and watching as the anger flashed in his eyes. "And why your mother drank herself to death." She added as Murphy clenched his jaw. "So don't you fucking dare say I killed my mother." Her voice broke, refusing to break eye contact with Murphy.
Murphy was evidently pissed off. But, he walked himself straight into that one. He squeezed the gun in his hands, his eyes not leaving hers.
Before Adella could comprehend, a gun was pointed directly at her. But Adella didn't flinch. She stared at the barrel of the gun, her face holding no emotion. "If you're going to shoot me, do it." She spat, her jaw clenching. "Because I would rather die than have to look at your face anymore than I already have."
Murphy's hands shook as he held the gun in his hand, staring down at Adella. It was like she was begging to be killed.
But...he couldn't do it.
Adella squeezed her eyes closed as the gun moved away from her face, a small and quieter sigh of relief leaving her lips.
Adella had stayed awake, looking at her lap for hours when she heard Bellamy's voice on the walkie. "Murphy, I know you can hear me. All our ammo and food is in the middle level. You know that. You're leaving us vulnerable to an attack. I can't let that happen."
"Yeah, well, I've been told. in case you haven't noticed, you're not exactly in control right now." Murphy said as he picked the walkie up.
"Come on, Murphy. You don't want to hurt Jasper. And you expecially don't want to hurt Adella." Murphy turned to the girl that was still staring at her jeans. Adella didn't know what Bellamy meant by his comment but she didn't care at this moment in time, she just wanted to get out of the drop ship. "You want to hurt me. So what do you say? How about you trade them for me? All you have to do is let them go, and I'll take their place."
"How?" Murphy said after a short silence, eyes still on Adella.
"Simple. You open the door, I walk in, they walk out." Bellamy told him.
Murphy turned to the two before opening up the door. "Just you, Bellamy, unarmed." Murphy yelled out. "10 seconds, or I'll put one in Jasper's leg. One..." he started to count.
Murphy was on four when Bellamy shouted. "I'm here."
Adella turned to see Bellamy walk in. He nodded at the two and Murphy threw Jasper out. Adella walked out just after. One of the kids untied her restraints and she watched as the door shut.
"Are you okay?" Octavia asked her, pulling her in for a hug, Fox at her side. Adella kept her eyes at her side, staring at the drop ship door, before accepting Octavia's hug and burring her face into the younger girls neck.
Adella nodded, not wanting to speak. Fox then immediately pulled Adella into a hug, which she quickly accepted, hugging Fox back. "Oh god, I'm so glad you're okay." Fox breathed out as she let her grip loosen. "Did he hurt you?"
"Physically, no." Was all Adella said as the two girls frowned at her comment. She went to ask where Raven was when she was engulfed in a hug. She looked to see it was Raven. "Im okay." Adellas croaky voice spoke, holding onto Raven for dear life, as if she was going to disappear.
"Good. We've lost Finn, can't loose you either." Raven sighed as she pulled away, keeping a hand on Adella's arm at all time. Raven took note of Adella's expression, making her frown. What had happened in that drop ship?
"You won't." Adella shook her head. The Finn part made her on edge, gripping the sleeve of her jacket. She was pretty sure he was out there, she could feel it. Her brother was alive.
"Now come on, we need to help Bellamy." Raven signalled for Jasper to follow her. "You stay here and keep everything in check." Raven told Adella. "Clarkes not here and Bellamy's with that psycho." Adella quietly hissed as the 'psycho' part. "They need someone to rely on and you're the only one they can trust." Raven nodded at the girl with hope. "And we are having a talk when were have finished."
Adella nodded at Raven, not in the mood to say anything else. Fox and Octavia stayed by her side.
Adella stood beside a panicked Octavia. Adella had tried to comfort her but it didn't work. The two girls were looking at the door when multiple shots went off.
Adella's heart dropped. Who was shot? Was Bellamy okay? Was Murphy okay? She didn't know why she cared about Murphy, after everything, but she did. And she didn't know why.
After a couple of minutes, the door opened and Adella sighed. "Well done, Raven." Adella mumbled before walking in first. She saw Bellamy hanging there but someone bet her to it and helped him down. Adella looked up the ladder, quickly climbing them and hit the latch, seen as it was closed.
"Murphy!" Adella yelled. She tried to push open the latch but something was in the way. "Murphy, open the god damn latch!"
"Murphy! It's over!" Bellamy yelled up, his throat sore. "There's only one way out of this for you now!"
"Open the fucking latch, Murphy!" Adella pounded on the latch. She knew Murphy could hear her. "Abre este cerrojo! Lo juro por Dios!!"
"I don't understand you!" She heard Murphy's muffled yell.
"That's the point!" Adella yelled back up, still pounding on the latch. After a couple of seconds of pounding, there was an explosion, which made Adella grip on to the ladder, her ears ringing.
She elbowed the latch one last time and it worked. Adella climbed up to see nothing but fog. She coughed, squeezing her eyes shut until she could see. She turned to see a hole in the dropship.
Bellamy and Jasper joined her side, looking down at Murphy running away. "The guy knows how to make an exit." Jasper uttered. "Should we go after him?" Jasper asked.
"No." Bellamy shook his head, looking at Jasper, then the frozen Adella, whose eyes were trained ok the outside of camp. "Grounders will take care of Murphy. We're going after Clarke, Finn, and Monty." Adella quickly turned to Bellamy as he spoke. "You and Raven were right. We don't abandon our own. Two guns, you and me. That's it." He told Bellamy. "Raven and Adella stays here to build up defences." He turned to Adella, who nodded her head. "We lost a day because of this, and our gun powder. Raven!" Bellamy yelled.
"Bellamy, wait. Look, I just..." Jasper started but pulled Bellamy into a hug. "Thank you."
Bellamy hugged him back then pulled away turning to Adella, who was looking down at her fingers. She looked back up and gave him a small smile, pulling him into a hug, which took him by surprise. "You aren't too bad after all, Blake. Thank you." He gave her a smile back as she pulled away from the hug. He was willing to sacrifice his own life to save hers and Jaspers. She was grateful.
"All guns! We got movement outside the south wall!" Someone yelled and the three immediately moved down the ladders and out of the drop ship.
"Wait! Hold your fire! Clarke and Finn! Open the gate!" They heard and Adella sighed of relief. Adella stood beside Fox as she saw Clarke and Finn run in.
"Hey, we heard an explosion. What happened?" Clarke asked. Finn turned to Adella and sighed to see that she was alive and she pulled him into a hug. She pulled away and smiled at him. She turned back to the rest as Bellamy spoke.
"Murphy happened." Bellamy told her. Clarke turned to Adella, who turned her focus to the ground, feeling her throat go dry. Why did Clarke suddenly turn to her?
"Where have you been? Where's Monty?" Jasper asked Clarke, moving to stand beside Adella.
"Monty's gone?" Clarke turned to Jasper, her eyes growing wide as she stared at him. That made Adella frown. Where was Monty?
"Clarke, we need to leave, now. All of us do. There's an army of grounders, unlike anything we've ever seen, coming for us right now. We need to pack what we can and run." Finn explained.
"Like hell we do. We knew this was coming." Bellamy shook his head.
"Bell, we're not prepared." Octavia told him.
"And they're not here yet. We still have time to get ready. Besides, where would we go? Where would we be safer than behind these walls?" Bellamy asked.
"There's an ocean to the east. People there will help us." Finn told him.
"You saw Lincoln." Octavia said and Adella looked up at the mention of Lincoln. She was glad he was okay.
"You expect us to trust a grounder? This is our home now. We built this from nothing with our bare hands! Our dead are buried behind that wall in this ground! Our ground! The grounders think they can take that away. They think that because we came from the sky, we don't belong here. But they're yet to realize one very important fact: We are on the ground now, and that means we are grounders!" Bellamy yelled.
"Bellamy's right. If we leave, we may never find a place as safe as this. And God knows, in this world, we could be faced with something even worse tomorrow." Clarke started. "But that doesn't change the simple fact that if we stay here, we will die tonight. So pack your things. Just take what you can carry, now."
Adella smiled at Clarke, nodding her head at her. People started to walk away when Adella heard Raven's voice. "Help me."
Adella spun around to see Raven, her leg injured. Adella didn't think for a second before she ran towards her, the others following her. Finn picked Raven up and walked towards the drop ship, Adella and Octavia following behind.
She had been shot. By John fucking Murphy.

Welp. This got depressing.
Adella doesn't have no one talk shit about her family. ( Murphy will soon be her family ) so girl came for the THROAT.
my girl adella wouldn't sit there whilst Murphy spoke about her mother. She will go fight or fight mode. Yes, fight or fight. She don't mess when to comes to family.
Just imagine if he mentioned her father... bro would be dead.. YIKES.
But adella and Bellamy will be Besties, obz.
It's the way everyone knew something was going on with Adella and Murphy, that's why Clarke turned to her at the mention of him. But Finn doesn't know bc he is dumb, let's face it. HAHAHA, he'll only realise last second and be like "damn, didn't see that coming." Whilst everyone around him did. HAHSH
