"Oh, Plue." I pulled a pearl-coloured fish close to me, sighing dreamily, "I miss the sky, it reminds me of my Mother."

    The Fish simply squeaked in alarm, and flapped its fin at me in confusion: how does the sky remind you of Queen Belserion?

    The question blazed in my mind and I rolled my eyes.

    "It reminds me of the outside world - no, not the open raging seas off the waters of our kingdom, but land... Where humans live," I said, "It reminds me of the last time my entire family got together, to enjoy an afternoon out."

    Plue sighed, trying to comfort me, and I stroked his head softly, "I can't wait till I'm eighteen, it's the day that I can finally go up to see the stars!"

    Plue escaped my grip and swam away, snorting: only one time, Erza, don't forget that.

    "Once more in a lifetime is better than never," I grinned at the fish, and flapped my cerulean tail, heading towards the castle. A smile remained on my face till I heard the bubbling sound of a conch shell.

    Plue, who was hanging onto my back, squealed in alarm: your Father has a meeting! I completely forgot!

    I scoffed, but patted the fish again on the head, "I can tell, Plue. You're usually so worrisome, I'm not surprised you forgot."

    The fish sneezed in defiance and swam down to the castle entrance. I followed slowly but got sidetracked as a figure slapped my shoulder firmly.

    "Where were you, Erza?!" A harsh voice asked me, full of worry, "We're been looking for you everywhere! You- You didn't go up to the surface, did you?"

    I faced a raven-haired girl who had purple highlights in her hair, "H-Hey, Kagura."

    "Don't 'Hey, Kagura' me," My sister scowled in annoyance, "You're late, and our father's going to be angry."

    I rolled my eyes, "At least I have the excuse that you're the reason we're even late-er!" I waved cheekily at my sister and swim quickly away from her before she could start lecturing me about politeness.

    As I entered my Father's royal hall, his eyes zoomed to mine, narrowed in fury. On instinct, ducking my head, I went to sit next to my sisters, who were sat on benches overlooking the crowd of underwater creatures.

    "Where were you, Erzy?" Milliana asked me softly; the meeting hadn't officially started yet, and my Father's attention was diverted as a very embarrassed Kagura entered the hall and sat next to me, "Kagura said you went up- up to the... Surface."

    "I didn't!" I exclaimed indignantly, "And anyway, If I did - and no, I didn't, for the last time - what's the worst that could happen?"

    A chestnut-haired woman behind me puffed softly, before collapsing lazily on the bench. My five other sisters burst into squeals of annoyance, and my Father sent another look at us. I dropped my gaze, staring at the coral-encrusted ground.

    "Cana, for once, shut up will you?" Juvia, the second youngest of my sisters hissed, "Juvia thinks you're drunk again!"

    I cast a forlorn glance behind me at Cana, who shot me a sloppy smile and stated, "Aw, c' mon man. I found Father's stash of Sake, what was I supposed to do? Resist- Ha!"

    Rolling my eyes, I turned at the sound of the conch ringing again. The second time, however, it was basically in my ear, as a very enraged Cancer stared me down. I grinned apologetically for holding up the meeting, and he snorted, stepping away.

    "Now! Let the meeting commence!" Cancer said grandly, as my Father chuckled. Cancer turned around just as my Father got up, and bashed face-on into the King. I chuckled softly, earning another smack from Kagura.

    "I- I'm so, so sorry, Your Highness, Makarov," Cancer stuttered, before backing away and running out of the chamber. Makarov's smiled, showing his teeth, before shaking his head.

    "Right, where were we?" He said, earning a laugh from the crowd as a shoal of fish shove themselves into the front row, "Hmm, yes."

    My Father's smile died on his lips, as he twirled his silver hair thoughtfully. He had never quite remained the same after my Mother's death, but he was still the King of the Sea.

    "As some of you know," Makarov continued, his voice booming across the large area. Dead silence answered him, and his face was lost of all colour, "Another ship full of humans... has anchored itself, near the wreck of the one a couple of years ago."

    Plue suddenly nudged himself into my arms, and I caressed him in return. "Pun, Pun... Pun?": that's near your Grotto, isn't it?

    I gasped inaudibly and stroked him lightly. The excitement was building up, as my heart pumped faster than it had in years. Cana was muttering obnoxiously under her breath behind me, and I had to resist the urge to shut her up.

    I was the youngest sister, and often got bossed around by my six other sisters, but I loved all of them. Well, at least I did most of the time.

    "Well," Makarov continued, his voice dipping and cracking, signifying the anxiety he was feeling. There was a mutter through the crowd, as they realized just how close the ship was. If the humans dove down far enough... they could discover our kingdom.

    Oh, how I wish they would. They couldn't hold their breath that long though. At least, that's what we're told.

    "I've decided that if they don't move to the shore by tomorrow, I'm going to have to shoot them down again." my Father's voice was regaining its confidence as he carried on, "They deserve what comes to them. I'll create a storm that'll sink their ship - none of them are expected to survive, that way."

    "He- He can't!" I whisper-shouted at Kagura, as she flashed me a look telling me to shut my mouth.

    "KING MAKAROV-KING MAKAROV-KING MAKAROV!"

    My Father bowed and I couldn't help myself as I get up and swam defiantly out of the hall. There were shocked murmurs as my Father himself shouted, "Erza! Erza, come back!"

~~~
My eyes were blurry as I raced to my grotto. A crimson-pink coloured shape whisked alongside me, grabbing onto my fins as I batted away very quickly.
    In resistance, I harshly hissed, "Why are you here, Cancer? To lecture me about how Humans deserve this? I get it - they killed my Mother! But- But she wouldn't want this! So many lives lost... for nothing."
    Cancer hung his head, snipping his claws anxiously, and he spoke up, "I get how you feel, Erza. But your Father isn't crazy, and I support him completely. What he's doing is for the good of our kingdom."
    I scoffed and swam towards the wreck as Cancer followed, hot my on tail. Finding a crack in the old wood, I slipped inside, ignoring Cancer's protests.
    I've never understood how humans live, and probably never will. Inside is a simple room, with multiple wooden blocks swinging on silver things. I guessed that they had served the same purpose our kelp serves - entrances to rooms.
    A particular room had always enchanted me, every time I had come inside the wreck. The one third from the right, right next to a large circular spinning wheel. I pushed open the door and took in a breath.
    There was a circular box with soft sheets, kept fresh with the water and lack of use. A scarlet cloth always laid on top; I had left the cloth there the last I had come, intrigued by the way Humans lived, floating above the sea but never venturing deeper than a couple of feet under.
    Kicking with my azure tail, I sat on the rectangle thing but jumped up as a clang echoed through the room. Cancer shouted in the background, telling me to come out at once, but I ignored his calls.
    It's a sword; I recognized the sharp unmistakable shaft from the displays across our Castle. It's also commonly used by the merguards, during times of war, but only rarely.
    An amber glow emitted from it, as I picked it up, and I read the elegant italic engraved on top: Jellal Fernandes.
    "Erza Belserion! I command you to come up at once, you have no idea how dangerous this place could be - I daresay, the ship's also right on top-"
    "What?!" I shouted. Cancer was right. The entire wreck was cast into darkness, as the sun's rays were blocked off by something. Something big enough to cover such a big expanse of sea.
    "Erza- Erza, no!" Cancer yelled in exasperation and attempted to hold my tail down, but I jerked him away and slid out of the wreckage. The Human ship was right on top of us.
    This is it, Erza. Maybe, maybe I can meet them. Even save them...
