On the outskirts of a decaying town, a mysterious circus arrives overnight. It seductively whispers of never-seen-before acts, and ardently promises healing for those that are desperate enough to bind themselves to the Circus as performers.

That sounds right up Lilibet's alley, doesn't it? Well, They know what happened to her as a child, why she keeps her face hidden from the world. She remembers too, doesn't she? The darkness, the shadows, a voice as old as time asking her to follow it, and clawing at her face when she refused.

They think that she has kept her sweet face hidden under those veils for long enough. They will heal Lilibet, they will heal her scars. They will let her take the veils off. But They won't do it out of the kindness of Their heart, no. She must give Them something in return. They want to know—what is she willing to sacrifice for it, for taking her veils off? For healing? For beauty?

Lilibet just needs to whisper it, and They will give it to her. They will know. Because the Eyes of God are always watching.

The rough outline of this story has been sitting around in my drafts since before I published any of my other fics, so I thought making a comeback with it was what made the most sense :DD
