After the Engagement

The engagement party took place in Odewole’s living room. The interior designers came very early that day to decorate the place. Honorable Samuel sent them, of course.

Their whole flat decorated as if an angel from heaven would attend. They hung colourful red roses up in every corner of the room. So were disco lights and other beautiful designs that added glamour to the event. Temi just hissed at all of it. She felt he was supposed to use the money to renovate the house. Although, the guests weren’t many family friends and we’ll wishers from far and near came to witness the union. They dressed Temi in a beautiful, golden coloured blouse and a well designed, two pieces of red wrappers. She danced to the melodious tune of the music playing in the background. Her golden headwear (gele), and dazzling jewelry fired her so perfectly, she looked the prettiest in the room as all eyes turned to her. Ngozi and some of her friends who danced behind her look amazing dancing steps to the local music banging from the loudspeaker placed at the four corners of the building. Some of the seated guest took pictures and videos of them until Temi finally got to her husband. She seated beside him, by his side on the royal chair as the M.C took the next activity on the program pamphlet. The presentation of of cake by the bride.
