Astrid was so strange today. She is usually smiling and joking a bit around. Her presence always calms us down, like the moon and stars shining in the night, or water that washes our fears away. But today she felt like shards of ice instead of water, moon and stars disappeared behind her own clouds of darkness.

'Astrid?' I asked carefully.

She looked at me blankly and opened her mouth.

No words came out.

My blood chilled to ice,' Astrid? Can you hear me? Can you speak? What happened?'

She looked at me with confusion.

Then she wrote something in the air with her finger, crystal-blue eyes concentrating on the point she was going to trace.

Her long black and blue hair lays at her back smoothly with a few waves as usual. Her beautiful appearance might not change, but the atmosphere around her freezes. She was colder, darker, and looked like a merciless queen of the night.

She fixed her gaze back on me again, and the words she wrote froze to ice in front of me.

'Reina, I am Astrid. I couldn't talk.''

She couldn't talk.

That means she couldn't sing her songs anymore, and I couldn't hear her beautiful voice.

I didn't know what to do. All I could help is stare and open my mouth stupidly.
