Who knows what lies under the sea? Despise those sea creatures, why no one knows that under the sea, there is a huge kingdom?

Not Atlantis. People always focus on that single place for some reasons. I never understand why.

Long before Atlantis, there is already a kingdom under the sea.

No one ever look carefully, no one ever ask.

People always get fooled by what they thought and see. They are not even feeling in their heart.

By the way, I am Astrid Micayla. I am a Dream Catcher apprentice. I am fourteen years old now.

My job is to help my fellow clanmates to light their dreams when they are sleeping, make them feel that hope is still around, and light up the whole city with lights of dreams.

We all need lights to light our path, don't we? Otherwise, in this huge, dark sea, no one can see without lights.

'Astrid!!! Time for dinner!!!'

One of my best friends, Reina Alita, screamed to call me for supper.

'Coming!!!' I darted towards the dining hall.

My special friend, Reina, or Rein for short. She got the powers of fire, but no one wants those kinds of magicians. They think that fire is useless under water because of...Well, you know. Water and fire, they don't really get together.

But Rein is the different kind. Her fire can burn under water for a really long time-maybe I should use the word 'eternally' for this.

That gained her back some respect, although some others still question.

She squealed at the sight of me, 'Astrid! What took you so long?'

The fiery red locks in her light coffee hair was even more noticeable, her huge, purple eyes glinting with a hint of gold. The shiny stars hairband that tied up locks of her hair looked even more ablaze.

She wore T shirt and trousers today, pattern of stars everywhere.

I even started to think if she is actually holding the powers of Starfire, the most precious and the best kind of fire magic after the Sunflames.

'Nothing, am I that slow?' I joked.

My dear friend Rein, who is ADHD and can't wait a second longer.

She squirmed in her chair, 'Uh, no...'

I laughed as her face boiled.

By the way, I lived with a group of girls in a special house (I designed it! (Proudly)) and we are very close to each other. I really like my friends. They are apprentices of different job.

Well, they should be arriving now...

'How about the others?'

'Coming, I guess.'

'Then why are you complaining that I am slow? If my speed is already considered slow, then the others?'

'Snails.' Rein laughed, a bit embarrassed.

Soon, the sound of footsteps greeted us.

Cherry Ayata came first, her short brown hair flying behind her, dark brown eyes peering over her gold-lined spectacles.

She is an Onmyoji's apprentice. She knew how to draw symbols to create a certain spell, which is really cool.

Eunice Alena protested as Phoebe Grace pushed her in. She must be sleeping for the whole morning and got up finally, thanks to Phoebe.

Eunice yawned and mewed, annoyed. She is a cat, which transformed into a human after million years of practicing. But she still can't hide her snowy white cats' ears and tail away. Her soft silver hair landed on her waist with cute curls, pink streaks of hair mixing in silver. She is the only one who isn't an apprentice. I am really jealous.

Phoebe is still trying to get used to her new outfit, for she just became an apprentice of a healer yesterday. Her golden braid went loose as she furiously pushed Eunice.

'Come ON!!!' She gritted her teeth.

'No way!'

Kayla Laurel covered her mouth as she laughed, her ponytail shaking with her movement,' Eunice, you're always like this...' She is an apprentice of a conjurer. She can summon lots of magical creatures, and she is really clever. But mostly because she is hardworking, unlike someone—no, somecat.

Reina buried herself in plates of food while Eunice slowly peeled a banana. Do cats eat bananas? I never know, and I never ask. If you've ever seen her claws, you'll know why.

This was another peaceful and happy night.

No. It wasn't.

Horrible darkness swallowed me as I dropped to sleep. Something was gone from me. What is that?

I shuddered to think.
