|| A few years before.... ||

" Common Sumi! You almost done!?" I yelled as I banged the door of my best friend, Sumiko. She came here a few months back. I remember when she first came! I have to thank her for everything, don't I? Well, anyways! Tonight is Halloween night! So, right now we're trying on some stellar costumes! " Just a moment." She said. As much emotion as she's used since she's first arrived.

Soon enough, she walks out. Lacking a smile yet, to me, her eyes shown bright excitement. We were wearing matching costumes. We were both cute black cats!

So, when she came out. I swiftly took her hand and dashed down the stairs. We rand down the big twisty stairs of the mansion and made it to the big living room. We ran a little bit until we made it to the kitchen. My mother was helping a maid prepare dinner until she saw us and smiled. " Hello my little kittens! You both prepared for Holloween?" "YES!" I yelled happily as she just gave a simple nod. We both grabbed our bags for the evening and before we left, Tanaka, our oldest butler, accompanied us to our smaller limo compaired to my parents. We drove along our big front yard, pretty flours coloured it beautifully.

We made it to one of the streets lots of people in my school lived on. Me and Sumiko got out of our newly parked limo. Tanaka got out of his drivers seat to join us. I grabbed Sumi's hand as I dragged her off to the first house of the evening. I rung the door bell and I said " Trick or Treat!" To the nice old lady who opened the door. Sumi however, said it so quietly, even a mouse probably couldn't hear! The old lady looked sweet and innocent. Good start good start. And though she had a tenancy to sneak alot of glances at Tanaka. Still, seemed nice. " What a nice costume you have! Have a good night dear." She said before giving me a whole two big handfulls of candy! She was a nice one that one. She slammed the door quite hard thought.

Then, I look over to Sumi, a smile plastered on my face. But, it immediately deteriorates when I saw sumi looking down sadly. Looking at the empty bag in hands. I reassure her, " Don't sweat it! I'm sure this is a one time thing!" She looked over to me. And smiled. Eh!? She's never done anything but nod!? How, what when!? I smile back at her.

|| Several houses later...||

Here I was, bag over flowing with candy. To the point where I had to use Tanaka's hat as another bag. And here Sumi was. Bag completely empty. She was sad, for sure. Right! Though I assume she's sad, she's acting quite differently. She's acting unfazed like, she's.... Used to it... huh, never exactly realized until now.

We both hop in the limo as Tanaka closes the door behind us. The car startmed and we started going on our way. I take a peek at her, she was stairing at the window uninterested at anything really. So, I tapped her on the sholder. " H-hey Sumi... You okay?" I asked, why did I studder? She nods and turns her head back to the window. " Could I... borrow your bag please?" I asked as she just nodded. I took her bag and guess what? Emptied out all of my candy into her bag. She must of heard me because she turned her head to see what was happening.

I don't even look at her as I put the remaining candies inside her previously empty sack. I look up to her and smile, " Since you didn't gave any candy. I gave you mine!" I said as she smiled and said,
"No, it's ours" she said as she quickly stuck a sucker in my mouth. She chuckled slightly as I smiled.

We looked out the window again to realize where not going home? We stopped on another street, children flooding the street like a river. I looked at the street sign, it read Chimiko Road. This wasn't our street! It took as a while apparently because Tanaka opened the car door for us. " I figured since Sumiko had no candy we could empty out another street." He said smiling. We immediately jumped out of the car. And with our new found energy, we stormed the street we were on. Collecting lots and lots of candy. Tanaka happily supervising us as we gave him the candy we didn't really want.

And here we stood, our last house of the night. If you asked me, it looked like a regular average house. But, an unsure grim expression showed on Sumi and Tanaka's faces. Me, being the oblivious little boy saw nothing and ran to the door, eager to do the last house. Sumiko walked up beside me and Tanaka had been a lot closer to us then any of the other houses. Again, I didn't notice.

The door opened to reveal a really grumpy old man with a weird shaped wooden cane. His face becoming even more irritated by looking at us. But, then... He smirked? " So agent A4-12... You finally came back." He said in a weird voice. I was confused but Sumiko appeared to understand the situation. I looked at her and asked, " A4-12? Sumi? Do you know him?" I asked her. The old man laughed, " Sumi huh, that's the pathetic name they chose out for you?" Her face revealed anger as she yelled " It's not pathetic!-" she was swiftly silenced by his slap. Tanaka then got evolved. " I think we should head home now, shouldn't we?" Me and Sumi nodded in approval as the old man smirked and said, " Retreat now agent. Don't worry, you wont ever escape our wrath... Don't worry at all, we will cone back. And that little act will be up. You will never escape who you really are." He said finally as slamed the door.

That Halloween was traumatic for the both of us. But, since then. Sumi became even more distant. And even though I never noticed... She's been watching out for them ever since.

| Sumiko P.O.V. |

Shou, i'm sorry that I have been here for so long.
I'm sorry that I have attracted danger in your direction.

But, I promised to be by your side, to protect you.
And even if the side of me that I hate does come back.
I know you'll be the only one who can bring me back.

And Shou I know when the time comes,

You'll be confused,
Scared,
And over all distressed.

But, I know you'll help me.
In the final battle.
