Hello everyone and welcome to a new chapter today. I hope everyone is doing well. I apologize for not updating that much any more guys, been busy with school and all I'm sure you guys read the note I sent out recently if you guys haven't read that I advise that you do because I talk about my plans for Infinity War/ Endgame/ Crisis on Infinite Earths.

So in today's chapter, Barry and Steve hang out after getting coffee, they talk about the bullies in their lives (this is followed by after chapter 23 where Flash and Captain America took down Tony Woodward), there is a new metahuman in town where it can absorb electricity.

I'm keeping this note short so here is the chapter lol

Barry's Pov

Laughter filled the air as Steve and I walked together in downtown Central City late at night. I just got done talking about how he took down his old bully (not as the flash of course).

"Wait Tony was your actual bully?" Steve asked taking a sip of his coffee. I nodded

"Yeah he was, I was able to punch him then I found out that he was a meta-human that can turn into steel I was shocked," I said

"Did he turn to steel when you punched him?" Steve asked. I took a sip of coffee and remembered that exact moment when I punched him and his face turned to steel breaking my hand

"Nope," I said shaking my head

"Well I'm just glad you are okay," Steve said "To be honest I was quite shocked when you said you wanted to hang out"

"I was too," I said

"So how are you and Iris I heard you two made up?" Steve asked

"Yeah we talked we are hanging out again, she also gave the streak a new name," I said thinking about the other night

"Oh yeah, what's the new name?" Steve asked. I smiled when the name popped up in my head

"The Flash," I said smiling

"Pretty cool" Steve chuckled sipping his coffee. I smiled at him. I watched as his eyes twinkled in the night, it looked so beautiful, He looked at me like he caught me staring. I quickly looked away and blushed.

"Uh..erm this was fun Steve I'm glad we were able to finally hang out," I said with a sweet smile as we came up to his apartment. 

"Me too, we need to do this more often," Steve said. He came up to me, the distance was closing it and my heart was beating out of my chest, for a moment there I thought we were going to kiss but instead, he pecked me on the cheek and smiled "Goodnight Barry"

"Goodnight Steve," I said, the moment he walked in and closed his door I flashed off. I ran out to the street "WHOO HOO!" I shouted and raced to my apartment (A/N: I completely forgot that Barry had an apartment in season 1...). I laid down on my bed and thought about Steve, I couldn't help but smile. I went to sleep dreaming about him.

The next morning I was just snoring away then I heard my alarm going off really loud. I opened my eyes and saw the time. 

"I'm late!" I gasped and flashed into the bathroom, I did everything that I normally do in the morning in a flash. I quickly put on my clothes and looked in the mirror. I smirked then flashed off to Jitters. I walked in and saw the place packed. I scoffed at the line then I smirked again I looked around then used my speed to make the coffee and gave it to everyone in line. I went back to where I was holding onto my coffee. I smiled then walked outside. I was walking at a normal speed when a guy tackled me throwing me against the wall.

"Wallet! Now!" The guy shouted pointing a gun at me. I started to laugh

"Oh, this is awesome, you've got to be kidding me. Hold on okay? I'm just gonna set this down" I said setting my coffee cup down "I mean this crazy, there are literally hundreds of thousands of people in Central City, and out of everyone you could have picked to rob, you pick me" I said laughing

"What, are you sick? Money, now!" He shouted again. I continued to mock him when he started to count down to when he was going to shoot me, by the time he said three I zoomed off striping the guy to his boxers then flashed a cop there, grabbed my coffee and went to star labs. 

"Sorry guys, I got a little held up," I said apologizing to my team. 

"I'm gonna need a moment or two alone with Barry," Dr. Wells said going to a different area

"Ooh, you're in trouble," Cisco said smiling. I walked into the room Dr. Wells went to

"Now may I remind you, Mr. Allen, we had an agreement. We would help you with your heroics out there while you would help us research and develop your abilities in here, right?" he asked me

"Yeah. No, I know" I said "I guess I've just gotten a little caught up with being able to help people, you know, put bad guys away. It feels good " I said 

" Imagine how good it will feel to cure diseases, stop aging, reverse paralysis. All good causes" Dr. Wells said

"So how can I help you do that?" I asked

"You need more MRIs, more blood, or..." I finished his sentence

"I need more speed," I said. He nodded "Okay," I said

"Speed is the key to progress, you need to kick up a notch," He said. My phone went off, it was Joe texting me that there was a homicide along with the location.

"There was a homicide I'm sorry, I've got to go," I said

"This not just about you, remember that Barry," Dr. Wells said to me. I nodded and flashed off to the scene. By the time I got there, there were a lot of officers looking like they are about to throw up...oh no it's one of those homicides...the gruesome one...I even saw Captain America looking like he regrets getting out of bed this morning. I walked with Joe and we met up with Eddie

"I hope you both skipped your breakfast," Eddie said and revealed the body 

"Whoa," I said and made a disgusting look, it's not so much the body that disgusts me its...the smell

"What the hell could do that?" Joe asked

"2,400 degrees, give or take. This area's filled with combustibles" Eddie said I was looking at the body and the possible location of the blast.  Joe and Eddie were talking about the victim while I was trying to measure the diameter of the blast...I needed to go higher. I looked up and saw a place where I can get high enough.

"Where you going?" Joe asked

"You see the soot on the ground where the cement is burnt?" I asked

"Yeah," Joe said

"That's evidence of arc blasts, happens when high- amperage currents travel or arch through the air, happens when high-amperage currents travel or arc through the air" I explained and I know they didn't understand a word I said

"There are no live wires, there are no utility poles. So how was this guy electrocuted?" Joe asked. We stood there looking at the body and trying to figure out how are we going to ID this man since he....didn't have a face. I saw Joe leave, I noticed how quiet he was.

"Hey, are you okay?" I asked

"Yeah, I'm fine why?" He asked

"I don't know, you seem a little off," I said trying to study his eyes 

'No I'm fine" He said. I just shrugged

"Alright," I said

Steve's Pov

Today is one of those days where I should've just stayed in bed. My motorcycle didn't feel like starting today which was odd, I had to take it the shop that wasn't far from where I live come to find out there was nothing wrong with it the engine probably just freeze up and I had to work it but when I turned the key nothing was turning on it was like...it was drained or something. I showed up late at the scene of the crime and I saw the body a nearly threw up all of the food I had the night before. Today is just isn't my day but it started to get better when I saw Barry at the scene. 

I saw him smiling when he met up with Joe and Eddie, his smiles just light up the room. I was broken out of my thoughts by the captain, he told me since they don't know the suspects yet he told me to go home for right now until further notice. 

"Stay alert Cap we might need you," Singh said

"Of course sir," I said nodding

"Good. Now off you go" Singh said "Alright team! I need this body in the morgue and find any evidence take to Forensics" he ordered his officers. I got on my bike and started it I was very shocked when my bike started with no problems whatsoever. I went home and texted Barry.

To Barry:

Hey Barry, just wanted to thank you for last night it was amazing, hope we can do it again soon.   

From Barry:

Of course Steve, I needed that to be honest, this week has been hectic with more cases than usual so I've been busy, right now I am working a case where a guy literally got his face burned off. He was electrocuted somehow...we are still trying to figure out how that was possible since there weren't any live wires or anything.

I read the message and try to figure how to respond to this without him thinking I was actually there at the scene. 

To Barry:

Do you think maybe it was one of those...things the people with powers I've been hearing about on the news?

I made it sound like I don't know much about these metahumans, well the truth is I don't I mean it's not every day people show up with powers, sure I might've taken on aliens, killer robots, a speedster with his twin sister, Loki, Thor, etc those are different those people were pretty much born with the powers except Pietro and Wanda we might as well call them meta-humans since both of them were created by man-kind.

From Barry:

That is what we are trying to figure out, I think it is a meta-human attack but I am running some tests to see if it was or someone else

To Barry: 

Well, good luck

After sending out that message, I didn't hear back from Barry. I heard my laptop make a sound like someone was calling me. I answered

"Hello?" I answered

"Glad to see you're still on the news, Captain America," Fury said smiling

"Hey, Nick, what's going on?" I asked

"Nothing just checking up on you, I heard that you were visited by a few...friends," He said referring to Bucky, Sam, Natasha and T'Challa

"Yeah, I was It's been a while since I've seen them since the whole...fight," I said

"Have you even consider talking to Stark?" Fury asked

"No, and I'm not going to if he wants to talk he can come to me," I said " I ain't afraid of him"

"Well I'll let him know, uh he did say something about wanting the shield back," He said

I scoffed "pfft, why?" I asked

"He said it doesn't belong to you...and mentioned that his father made the shield," He said. I looked over where my shield was located then I looked back at the computer

"Well if he wants it back, as I said, he can come to me," I said

"So, I heard there are more meta-human attacks," Fury said changing the subject

"Yeah there has been, but Flash and I have it covered," I said

"I know you do but if this starts to get worse call me...I'll make a dramatic scene," Fury said I chuckled remembering when Fury made his 'dramatic' scene during the whole Slovakia 

"Don't worry I will" I said

"I've been meaning to ask, the senator wants to know if you heard anything from Thor," Fury said

"No I haven't last time I saw him he said he had to head back to Asgard after the whole dream situation, something about Infinity Stones and...his home up in flames I don't know something dramatic like that" I said, I saw Fury looks down like he knew what I was talking about. "Did I miss anything?" I asked

"No, you didn't, I'm just trying to figure out how many other stones are out there," Fury said

"Thor said there are 6 total, Vision has one which is the Mind stone and 5 more out there in space," I said 

"Interesting" Fury said "Well, let me know if you see him flying around or something, as for now I have to go and you need to go and do your job," He said I nodded at him

"yes sir," I said and he hung up

I shut my laptop closed and sat there and looked outside. I had a feeling deep down like something was coming...could there be a war coming? 

Barry's Pov

I was at S.T.A.R. getting help from the team trying to figure out about the victim and a possible meta-human suspect. I was standing there watching Cisco and Caitlin explain when my phone vibrated. I saw that Steve sent me a message thanking for last night. I smiled and replied. 

"Guys, according to the software, there's an 82% chance your victim looked like this" Cisco said pulling up a picture, I looked at it

"82%?" I asked

"Hey it was zero when you walked in here, pal," Cisco said.

"Can you cross-reference that with the DMV database, maybe get a name?" I asked

"Absolutely," Cisco said typing in some words and stuff, I was too busy texting Steve. "This software can do just about anything now that Felicity reprogrammed it," He said once I saw the final message from Steve saying good luck, I locked my phone and looked at the picture

"Casey Donahue. no wife. no kids. Used to work at the Petersburg electrical substation" Cisco said then looked at me then back at the computer "That's weird, someone just used his ID to enter the substation" He said 

"The Petersburg grid is experiencing a power drain right now," Caitlin said (A/N: I don't really remember who said what line so if I messaged up please let me know your feedback means a lot to me)  I flashed into my suit "Barry be-" I zoomed off when Caitlin said something.

I flashed to the scene and heard electricity crackling.  I saw a man absorbing the electricity 

"I'm pretty sure this is a restricted area," I said to the meta-human he turned to still sucking in the electricity "Easy there, Zappy," I said

"I have to feed," he said and tried to attack me

"Whoa, what was that?" I heard Caitlin ask

"More of that," He said then used his powers on me. I screamed in pain

"Barry, what's happening?" Caitlin asked. I continue to scream then he finally stopped, everything inside of me felt like it was drained

"Too much," The meta-human said "Too much"

"Get out of there, Barry run!" Dr. Wells said. I tried to run but I couldn't then I realized...I didn't have my speed

"I can't....my speed...is gone," I said breathing. The meta-human hit me with his powers. I fell to the ground groaning in pain. I looked at the meta-human and it looked like he was going to kill me. I shielded my eyes then I felt someone in front of me shielding me from the blast. I looked at who it was

"Hang in there kid" Captain America said. I smiled, once the meta stopped Captain threw his shield at him knocking he meta to the ground. He grabbed his shield and put it on his arm. The meta looked at Captain and used his electricity to knock a pole over. It was about to fall on Captain. I stood up as fast as I can and knocked Captain out of the way, the pole hit the ground with a loud boom. I panted. The meta-human got away. Captain looked at me "Aren't you going after him?" He asked me I shook my head

"I can't my speed is gone...he took it," I said. I tried to stand up but I was out of energy, I felt a strong hand grab my arm pulling me off to the ground he placed his shield on his back.

"I got you kid let's go to S.T.A.R. Labs," He said

"Thank you," I said with a small smile. 

He helped me to his bike

"I sincerely hope my bike still works," He said,

"is it electrical?" I asked he nodded 

"It wasn't working earlier and I think it's because of that meta-human," He said getting on the bike. I got on behind him and wrapped my arms around him I rested my head on his shield that was on his back all tired. "You good over there kid?" he asked me

"Mhmm" I hummed. He started his bike and drove off. As we drove, I looked at his shield, whenever he would give me a ride he would always have his shield on his lap but this time it was on his back. I traced the Star symbol than on a pair of scratch marks that were there. I placed my hand on there acting like I was scratching it, it was weird those scratches look like a cat scratched it I was expecting to see some electricity marks but there nothing but that scratch. When we got there, I felt Captain stand up. He tried to help me up but I shook my head and stood up, I got slightly dizzy and collapsed on his chest. He held onto me.

"You okay?" He asked. I nodded and stared at his lips then his eyes...his eyes looked so familiar but I was too tired to run a list in my head as to who had the same eye color.  Captain helped me into the building

"Dude, this is a thing now," Cisco said seeing me and Captain. Cisco and Caitlin helped me to the bed

"He said the meta-human like stole his speed," Captain said to Dr. Wells, I couldn't hear what else they were talking about I wasn't focused on that.

"Thank, Captain America," Dr. Wells said. I heard footsteps walking away as Captain walked out

"Alright let's run some tests," Caitlin said

Steve's Pov

I was looking at my computer when I saw the lights flicker in my apartment, I looked outside and immediately I felt like I was having Deja Vu, I remember doing what I just did back when the Particle Accelerator exploded but this time I was seeing something different, I saw electricity all around the city flickering and saw where it was coming from, some kind of power plant. I quickly got my shield and went out. I drove there and saw The Flash on the ground like he got hurt and the person, meta-human I should say was about to strike. I ran and got in front of The Flash shielding him from the blast. I am so glad that my shield is powerful enough to shield me and The Flash from any powers from any meta-human so far. The meta-human struck a pole that was about to fall on me but The Flash knocked me out of the way, I was wondering why he didn't go after the meta-human.

"I can't my speed is gone...He took it" He said. He tried to stand up but ended up falling again, apparently, this meta-human absorbed all of his speed and his energy as well. I helped him up and onto the bike. I quickly drove to S.T.A.R. Labs I tried to help him off the bike but he tried to stand up, he ended up falling on me, I held onto him. We locked eyes for a second, his eyes were beautiful, his eyes almost looked like Barry's eyes which was weird. I shook off the thought and carried him to the building. I was greeted by his friends

"Dude, this is a thing now," Cisco said and grabbed The Flash. He and the doctor helped him to the bed. I was about to go to him when Harrison Wells stopped me

"What happened out there?" he asked

"He said the meta-human like stole his speed," I said 

"Right, so not only he can steal electricity...he can...steal...someone's speed," he said trailing the word steal and speed which was odd. "Thank you, Captain America," Wells said I nodded and walked out. I felt my phone vibrating. I answered

"Hello?" I asked

"Hey uh Captain this is Joe, we have a robbery," Joe said then told me the address

"I'm on my way," I said and hung up and ran outside

Barry's Pov

The team was running tests on me trying to figure out how my speed was gone. By running tests I mean  

"Your DNA was transformed by the particle accelerator blast. there's no way to untransform DNA" Cisco said

"This meta-human doesn't electrocute people, he siphons electricity thereby removing your power," Dr. Wells said

"All right do we think this is temporary or..." I trailed

"We have to run tests," Caitlin said

"I've got to warn Joe," I said and walked out

"Barry, we will find a way to restore your speed, I promise you that," Dr. Wells said I nodded and went to CCPD.
