Hello everyone and welcome to a new chapter today. For those of you who haven't read the recent chapter of Take A Closer Look I've decided to put that book on a small hiatus until I am done with my artwork projects so far I did 6/7 so I got 1 more to get done and have to do a requested artwork so I have a total of 2 things to get done and not to mention the weekly updates of my books this includes this and Malec Oneshots which I keep forgetting to update so I apologize to you my Malec fans.

So in today's chapter, Barry, Felicity, Eddie, and Iris play Trivia Night while Snart is trying to rob a museum. Steve is still a little angry at Barry for leaving like he did after that moment they had together. Barry finds out where the gun came from and is furious at Cisco and the rest of the team and people think Captain America and The Flash are dating. 

So pretty much the entire episode of The Flash ( 1x04).

Anywho, let's get to the chapter shall we

Barry's Pov

It was currently night time and I was at Jitters hanging out with Eddie and Iris and I was waiting for Felicity. And right I was trying to explain the name of my team.

"No, you see, I did it because E=MC squared is Einstein's formula for kinetic energy, right? And you know, can't touch this" I joked dancing a little bit to MC Hammer's Can't Touch This

"That's great Barry. Where's Felicity?" Iris asked looking around. I looked around as well and saw Felicity walk in, she was wearing a black tight dress. She looked amazing. I smiled at her

"Wow, you look amazing." I said to her. Felicity smiled at me and sat down then saw the name of our team

"E=MC Hammer that's funny" She said I looked at Eddie and Iris

"See?" I asked them and I saw Iris roll her eyes and Eddie smile at me. I love seeing Eddie smile it's adorable his smile reminds me of Steve's smile, I miss Steve I wish he was here with me playing this game.

Moments later, the game had started. 

Snart's Pov

"It wasn't until 1852, when the transcontinental railroad laid their tracks through this thriving cattle town, that we became officially incorporated" Boring! All of these Museum facts that the guide was giving us was boring as heck just hurry up with the Kahndaq Dynasty diamond. As the guide went on with the tour I saw a kid who looked just as bored as I was. 

"Hey, kid. Gum?" I asked him hanging him a thing of gum

"And now, for the exhibit, I'm sure you've all come here to see, the historic Kahndaq Dynasty Diamond" The guide said showing us the diamond, finally. Wow that looks gorgeous

"Be careful. get too close and you'll set off the proximity alarms" The guide said to us

"Wouldn't want to do that" I said to the kid and the kid smiled. 

Barry's Pov

Felicity and I were trying to figure out the answer to the question. We are killing it and you should see Iris and Eddie's face they are speechless

"Are they even speaking English?" Eddie asked. Iris shrugged

"And the points go to E=MC Hammer" the announcer announced 

The game went on and Felicity talked about working at Queen Consolidated which I find interesting cause she is basically working for Oliver Queen well she is but Iris and Eddie don't know about it because well duh secret id- never mind

As Felicity went on about her job and not having a boyfriend I decided to check my phone for any text messages. So far nothing. I really miss Steve I feel bad leaving him. I put my phone away and continue on with the game. It was Iris and Eddie's turn, they looked at the question and selected the answer and got it wrong. Then I saw the question, are you serious they didn't know the name of Han Solo's ship

"I'm sorry. I thought I knew it and I got excited and I...I just hit it" Eddie said. I began to laugh.

"No, I mean, maybe they'll get ut wrong too" Iris said

"Oh, yeah. I am sure that the team named Pride and Padawans doesn't know the name to Han Solo's ship" Eddie complained. He's adorable when he's confused

"Oh, honey, you are so cute when you're confused." Iris said. Took the words right out of my mouth Iris. I saw Eddie grabbed his phone

"Someone spotted Snart" He said "I gotta go" he said to Iris then pecked her on the lips then walked out. I got up and walked out too, Felicity followed me

"I'll cover for you" She said

"All right, what are you gonna say?" I asked her

"I usually tell people Oliver's at a night club with a girl or nursing a hangover" Felicity said

"None of which will work for me" I said to her

"Bad stomach ache....really bad diarrhea" She said

"Yeah, I'm not comfortable with that excuse" I said to her shaking my head

"Just go!" she shouted at me and I zoomed off. I was running and I looked over and saw Captain America on his bike.

"Hey, Captain!" I shouted at him but he didn't seem to hear me and kept driving. "cool" I said to myself

Steve's Pov 

I was sitting at home looking over the emails sent by Fury, he denied about the message about the whole Streak joining the Avengers, I was confused who sent that message out? Oh well, I'm sure Iris deleted it or something. I was looking up some other new stories that happened in New York and saw that the Spider-man kid stopped a robber who called himself "The Vulture" nice he took down his first villain I'm proud of him. I smiled at the article then I felt my phone vibrate, I looked at it and saw that Joe spotted Snart at a Museum. I quickly got dressed and went out. I was in deep thought while I was driving. I felt a gust of wind blow past me

"Hey, Captain!" I heard someone called out to me but I kept driving. By the time I went to the museum I saw Snart shooting at something or someone. I saw The Streak get hit. He fell to the ground

"No!" I shouted and swung my shield at Snart but he shot it before it hit him. I grabbed my shield and ran to The Streak

"You okay?" I asked him

"Ahhh aah, it burns!" he shouted. Snart tried to fire at us and I shielded us from the blast, almost my entire shield was covered in that Ice stuff.

"time for a test run. Let's see how fast you are!" Snart shouted I felt the Streak zoom off 

"No! no!" He shouted I looked over and saw The Streak kneeling over a body. I quickly ran to him. I couldn't see Snart. I looked around and saw that he left while The Streak and I were distracted. 

"You okay Kid?" I asked him. He shook his head

"I wasn't fast enough to save him." He said

Barry's Pov (I apologize for the bouncing between characters)

"I wasn't fast enough to save him" I said to Captain who was kneeling next to me. Part of my leg was still numb from the cold gun I got hit with. I felt Captain put his hand on my shoulder

"Sadly kid, we can't save everyone" He said to me "Now that wound looks like it's not healing let me take you to S.T.A.R. Labs" He suggested.

"No, I can still run" I said to him then stood up ignoring the pain that shot through me I tried to run but ended up falling. I heard Captain sighed then I felt strong but gentle pair of hands help me up then he sweeps me off my feet...literally "what the hell?" I asked

"I'm taking you to S.T.A.R. Labs" Captain America said and carried me outside we were greeted by some policemen and...fans. I saw some fans take some pictures "Move it! he's injured!" Captain shouted I saw the police surround us and escorted us to Captain's motorcycle. He set me down and looked at me then his bike he was telling me to get on the bike so I did. He got on and turn back to look at me

"Hang on tight" He said to me I wrapped my arms around his waist tightly. I couldn't stop myself from blushing I can feel his muscles/abs wow who knew Captain America works out on his spare time. The silence was causing slight tension between us I cleared my throat trying to break the silence. "You okay back there kid?" he asked me. Nailed it.

"Yeah I'm fine my leg is still numb though" I said 

"Don't worry we are almost there" He said. I smiled but sadly Captain didn't see me smile

By the time we got there, I felt Captain grab me and carried me inside of S.T.A.R. Labs. When we walked in we were greeted by Caitlin, Cisco, Felicity, and Dr. Wells

"What happened?" Felicity asked 

"He got injuried" Captain said "We were trying to take down Captain Cold and he got shot by this weird cold gun" He explained then sat me down on the hospital bed

"Thank you, Mr. America we can take care of the rest" Dr. Wells said to America. Captain hesitated, he looked at me.

"I'll be fine" I said to him then he nodded and walked away

Caitlin and Cisco worked to treat the wound that was on my leg

"It's still numb" I said

"It's presenting itself like third-degree frostbite" Caitlin said

"I thought he had hyper healing" Felicity said

"It's been slowed. If your cells weren't regenerating at the rate they are, your blood vessels would have frozen solid and the nerve damage would have been permanent." Caitlin explained then she looked at me "You're lucky to be alive" 

"Snart wasn't another  meta-human" I said "He has some kind of gun, it froze things, slowed me down....enough that I wasn't in time to save someone" I said looking down

"According to his record, Snart didn't even bother to finish high school, so how did he build a handheld high tech snow machine?" Caitlin asked

"S.T.A.R. Labs built the cold gun" Felicity said

"Dr. Wells and Caitlin had nothing to do with this." Cisco walked in "I built the gun" 

"You did? Why?" I asked

"Because speed and cold are opposites" He said "Temperature is measured by how quickly the atoms of something are oscillating. The faster they are, the hotter it is and when they are cold, they're slower on the atomic level when there's no movement at all it's called-"

"Absolute zero" I buzzed in

"Yeah" he said then continued "I designed a compact cryo engine to achieve absolute zero. I built it to stop you" Cisco said. I didn't even know what to say, he built something that could kill me, I became angry "I didn't know who you were then, Barry. I mean what if you turned out to be some psycho, like Mardon or Nimbus?" he asked

"But I didn't. Did I?" I asked angerly  

"We built the entire structure you're standing in to do good and it blew up. In the wake of that, you can understand why Cisco would want to be prepared for the worst." Caitlin said

"I can understand that, but what I can't understand is why you didn't tell me what you did!" I shouted "I thought we were friends" I said to Cisco

"We are. Barry" Cisco said

"I mean, if you would have just told me, I could have been prepared" I shouted "But instead someone died tonight" 

"And I have to l have to live with that" Cisco said

"No, Cisco. We all do" I said angerly I zoomed out of the lab. I can't believe they didn't tell me about the gun, I feel so...betrayed. I didn't where I was going but I kept running and running till I stopped on the rooftop. 

"Well you made a fast recovery" I heard a voice behind me I turned around and saw Captain America sitting close to the edge eating some Big Bell Burger "you look hungry want some fries?" he asked me then I realized I haven't eaten anything all-day

"Sure." I said and sat down next to Captain.

"Something is bothering you kid. Talk to me" He said. I sighed, wow he is observant.

"No, it's nothing" I lied, why should I tell him that S.T.A.R. Labs lied about the cold gun and proved to Captain America that he is right about Wells hiding something or whatever but then again what if Captain comes in contact with Snart? If I don't tell him about the gun then he could very well get hurt or worse...killed "Actually there is something bothering me" I said

"I'm all ears kid" Captain said biting into his burger

"Have you ever felt...betrayed?" I asked

"I've been betrayed before" Captain said

"Well, I meant if your best friend who has helped you after waking up from a coma and have powers that you don't understand about and that friend did help you but secretly built a weapon that can injure you or kill you and it ended up in the enemy's hands?" I asked. Captain gave me a weird look

"What did S.T.A.R. Labs do now?" He asked me. 

"Cisco, the weapon builder, built a weapon that can stop me or kill me if I ever went rouge like the other meta-humans but the weapon was stolen by Snart" I explained "Cisco didn't even tell me about the weapon and now with that, someone died tonight"

"How did he betray you?" Captain asked me "Sure he didn't tell you about the weapon and someone died because of that but if I was in Cisco's shoes and all of a sudden someone shows up at my doorstep with super speed, I'll be scared too, I'll build a weapon that can stop the speedster in case he goes rogue. He built the weapon out of fear" He explained I thought about it. "I understand that you're pissed off but just understand him for a second he was probably doing that for his safety...for the people's safety you never know" He said.

I sighed and continued to eat the fries.

"You're probably right." I said said

Snart's Pov

"we're going back tonight" I said to my men

"Back where?" one of my men asked

"To the museum" I said "That diamond isn't going to steal itself"

"Supre gun freeze your brain Snart?" He asked "The museum's gonna be crawling with police by now and The Streak" He said

"This can stop The Streak" I said pointing at my gun "It hurt him, and I know his real weakness. So we go unless you want out" I said

"We both want out...alive" He said looking at the guy next to him. I felt the guy draw out his gun

"So you thought ahead and made a plan least I taught you something. So what are you waiting for" Shoot me" I said but he hesitated "You better put a bullet in my brain right now because if you don't if I ever see  either one of you again-"

 "You don't get it do you?" He asked me "This blur is out there and has been teaming up with Captain America and Central City ain't your playground anymore" He said

"Sure it is" I muttered under my breath. 

Barry's Pov 

Captain and I talked for a while. It felt nice talking to another hero.

" So Kid have you figured out a name for youself? cause The Streak doesn't sound so...heroic" Captain asked. I laughed

"Well I do have one in mind but I don't know how it will sound" I said

"Tell me" Captain said

"The Flash" I said 

"The Flash...that sounds...pretty awesome" Captain said

"Really?" I asked

"Yeah it sounds heroic and whenever your run to save the city you run in...a Flash" Captain said

"Yeah, your right that does sound neat. I should thank The Arrow for coming up with the name" I said thinking about Oliver 

"You know The Arrow?" Captain asked 

"Yeah we're friends have you met him?" I asked him and he nodded

"I have mistaken him as one of my friends back at New York" He said 

"What do you mean?" I asked eating some chicken nuggets

"You probably haven't heard of him but back at the Avengers, there was a man who can shoot arrows name Hawkeye. He recently retired to spend time with his family" Captain said 

"Aw that's nice" I said then I looked at the sky and saw that it got very dark outside. I stood up "I have to get going" I said

"Oh okay.." Captain said sounding disappointed "Take it easy kid, rest up" He said

"What if Snart makes an appearance? what if you need me?" I asked

"Don't worry about it kid just rest" Captain said. I nodded and zoomed off

Steve's Pov

I listened as the kid told me about what Cisco did, I understand why he was angry but I understand why Cisco did what he did. The evening went on as we talked, he revealed to me that his name is The Flash now which I think is pretty awesome. I decided to go home since there was no word on Snart yet. I sat there on my couch with the laptop open, I saw Iris's blog and my heart pretty stop at the blog that someone sent to Iris

"So I took a picture of Captain America and The Streak and I am starting to think that those two are dating. I mean who carries a guy like that? He was bridal carrying him like they are married  I mean I think they make a cute couple,"  They posted 

I laughed a little reading the message but thanks to this post there are now rumors stating that I'm dating The Flash.
