Friends!
A tall blond boy walks into the airplane keeping his head forward he looked around for a place to sit. There's a group of four sitting together already. One boy and two girls; one of the girls has dull long orange hair that must have reached the floor when she stood, dark blue eyes and, a fat, heart shaped face. Another one of the girls has sandy blonde hair that goes a little past her shoulders, blue-violet eyes, and a narrow face. The redhead and the blond both had screechy high voices; they were extremely annoying. The boy was trapped by the blonde looking extremely uncomfortable and annoyed. He had coco colored hair and aqua blue eyes that gleamed from the sunlight.
The blond sighed feeling bad for him, but didn't know how much help he would be so he continued farther down the plane to find another girl in the back. She had a book open completely captivated in it. She had red hair like the girl from earlier but hers was shiny and darker. Her hair came across as having lighter red orange highlights, her hair stretched down to a little above her shoulders hugging her face. She had bright apple green eyes and a massive grin as she read the book. No one was seated by her not that she showed signs of minding He walked towards the seat closer to the girl, however, he must have missed the chair on the way and walked into it falling onto the floor face first. The boy groaned rubbing his nose as his eyes began to water.
The girl was so engrossed in her book she barely noticed when the blond boy had fallen on his face. The boy pulled himself back to his feet before tapping her on the shoulder. Her head snapped up partially giving her whiplash, she looked confused for a split second before she smiled at the boy.
"Hey um uh is-is it okay if I uh sit by you," He asked nervously before his eyes widen and quickly adding on, "You can say no I don't want to pressure you into anything your aren't comfortable with."
The girl chuckled a little before patting the seat closer to her replying, "You can sit at your own risk, and it is no problem before you go thanking me or whatever." She closed her book giving her full attention to the boy.
"So what's your name kid," the girl asked raising her eyebrow smirking.
The blond chuckled a little before answering, "My name is Ken...Evans. W-what's your name?"
"I'm Kayley Anderson, it's nice to meet you." Kayley said smiling reaching her hand out to shake. Ken grasped it tightly shaking crazily as he smiled excitedly.
He looked at the closed book. Pointing to it, he asked, "What book are you reading,"
"Oh uh its called The Heart and How it Works by Richey Ross." Kayley said showing him the book smiling happily.
"Oh cool, do you want to become a doctor or something," Ken asked leaning against the seat.
"Yep, so uh what power do you have," Kayley asked glancing around as if it was going to get her in trouble for asking.
"Um well I call it Super Eyes," Ken told her looking at the table. Embarrassed by his dorky nickname for his power.
"Cool! What is it exactly," Kayley asked cirriously tilting he head to the side like a little dog.
"Oh well basically any power that has to do with your eyes I have. So I can see really really far, I can see in every direction, I have x-ray vision, and heat ray vision, etc."
"Wow, so you have like multiply powers in one! That's so cool all I have is healing, I think." Kayley said leaning back with her hands behind her head grinning widely.
As they sat in silence for a couple of minutes Kayley glanced at Ken then at the book then back a Ken before shrugging grabbing her books and going back to reading. Ken followed her lead and pulled out his own book from his passenger bag. Suddenly the plane began to pull backwards making them both look up and glance out the window. Kayley looked for a minute before going back to her book. Ken on the other hand slide closer looking out the window and watching as the plane backed up. When it got into place it began to pull forward accelerating quickly.
Kayley's stomachs began to tighten making her shift uncomfortable. Her heart began to race and she began feeling a bit faint. She forced herself to take tiny controlled breaths trying to calm her nerves. Her hands going from a relaxed position to gripping the seat to death. Her body was tense, unable to relax. Trying pull her thoughts from the plane and how each movement sent her stomachs doing flips, she tried to only focus on her breathing and her breathing alone. It didn't do much, but it was the best she could come up with. She was doing everything in her power to not have a panic attack because it wouldn't be outstanding she was already struggling with breathing. She closed her eyes but it made it worse.
Ken on the other hand had his face squished up into the window. His heart began to race as he felt himself getting more and more excited he loved airplanes. He loved the sky! He felt so incredible while up there like there was nothing holding him down but there was something holding him down...gravity. Ken stopped using his power the world falling into darkness making the rise up into the sky one hundred percent better. He wanted to cry out in excitement but chose not to. He turned away from the window since he couldn't see at the moment and simply relaxed against the seat. He was smiling with pure delight.
Quickly Ken found sleep all the while; Kayley couldn't sit still any longer so checkingthatit was okay to be unbuckled she got up slowly releasing her grip on her seat armrest she gripped the top of the seats instead as she wandered around a little.
After walking for a little while the plane just so happened to hit a little turbulence sending the unbalanced Kayley falling into someone. She felt her face burn from embarrassment. Looking up at the person she had fallen into only made it worse. Her face was now the color of her bright red hair. He helped her up making sure she had her balance. Once she regained it the plane bounced again and Kayley fell into his arms once again. "Sorry," she muttered.
The boy chuckled making her while body vibrate. "Your fine Sleeping Beauty."
Kayley got up and held onto a close seat slapping him on the shoulder playfully with her other hand. "Shut up Chris." she glared at his before sending him a shyly smile.
"Gee what wasthatfir? I thought you liked my nickname," Chris asked rubbing his shoulder a little, Kayley didn't respond so he shrugged continuing, "So what you get in here fir?"
Kayley raised her eyebrow before replying, "Apparently I can like heal or something or at least I think that's why I'm here. What about you?"
"I stole a hippo," Chris answered seriously before cracking a huge grin making his beautiful eyes gleam with happiness. Kayley gave him an unimpressed scoft, Chris smiled dropped a little as he held his hands up in defense. "Fine be like that you aren't any fun to joke around with anyways ...Ugh just trying to lighten the mood...You win, I have super strength."
"Oh wow that's super cool. I wish I had a cool power like ." Kayley said glancing at him shyly ignoring his white humor.
"What! Kayley healing is super cool and super important. You know how many people you can save with a power like . Not to mention it fits you perfectly," Chris said patting her shoulder. Kayley blushed while twirling her hair a huge smile spreading across her face.
"Thanks Chris, that means a lot, especially coming from you," She said finally getting enough courage to look him in the eyes.
"Hey no problem 's what friends are fir. Now speaking of friends do you have a seat by youthatI can sit in because there's these girls I'm trying to avoid. Can you help a poor man you," Chris said hope filling his gorgeous blue eyes. Kayley giggled nodding and gesturing him to follow her. She made her way back to her seat making room sothathe could sit by her.
"Who is he," Chris asked pointing towards Ken who was sound asleep.
Kayley chuckled, "This is Ken, he's cool." Chris nodded as Ken yawned, stretching his arms out. He glanced around confused before chuckling to himself.
"Hey Ken." Kayley greeted waving at Ken. He smiles and waving back.
"Oh hey Kayley. Um who ," Ken asked pointing at Chris.
"Oh this is Chris he's a friend of mine. Is it okay if he sitting by us," Kayley asked gesturing to Chris.
Ken smiled brightly. "Oh yeah 's sweet. Nice to meet you Chris, I'm Ken," Ken extended his hand out towards Chris.
"Nice to meet you as well," Chris replied shaking Ken's hands smiling back.
"So, does anyone know anything about this school or that they had powers before this year?" Kayley asked jumping back into the conversation.
"Oh well I learned about my power when I was four," Ken told them proudly. They nodded impressed letting him know that they thought that it was cool. "So I've been contacted by the school when I turned eight and they started sending me tools to help control and understand my powers."
"Wow, so your like a professional sort of dude when it comes to like using your powery thing," Kayley said struggling to explain what she wanted to say.
"I guess so but I don't know everything you know and I probably won't be any help when it comes to your power but I mean it is cool..." Ken said slowly realizing he was rambling and probably annoying them.
However when he looked at the two they both smiled edging him on wanting to know all they could. Ken nervously laughed before continuing to tell them all he knows about powers and the school. Letting them know that even though he knew about his power for quite some time this was his first time going to the school so he was equally as inexperienced to this as everyone else. They all fell into a comfortable conversation where Kayley's mind was finally off the plane and was enjoying hanging out with Ken and Chris.
