A Quick Escape
"We are going to die!" Addie yelled diving out of the way as the cyclops hammer hit the place she was barely standing. The ground shook making Addie wobbled fighting to keep her balance and life.
Ryan rolled his eyes jumping on the hammer, he climbed up the handle and onto the cyclops arm. He reached his head stabbing the beast in the eye. The cyclops roars in pain sending flying off the cyclops and landing on his feet like a cat. He glared at the cyclops annoyed he had been thrown him off. "Well, that will give us some time."
"Umm never mind we might just survive." Addie says completely shocked about Ryan and his infinite skills. "Of course I'm put with the most talented person in the whole world," Addie grumbled tripping over a rock on her way over to him.
Ignoring Addie, Ryan tossed her one of his knives, "Use this to defend yourself so you might be a little helpful." Addie nodded excitedly, she loved knifes and for Ryan to give her one of his meant he thought she was exceptional with a knife so even though it came out as an insult it was a huge compliment.
"So umm... How are supposed to defeat him," Addie asked waving her hand at the cyclops. Ryan shrugged staring at the monster quizzically.
"Not sure yet, but I was sort of hoping for another one of your stupid plans that shouldn't work, but still do anyways," Ryan replied sighing.
"I'm going to ignore the insult, but thank you. Um, how about, how about, oh I know! I'll distract him while you stab him in the back trying to get him to fall out of the cage around us." Ryan nodded to her request and silently made his way around the cyclops. The cyclops roared at Addie now beyond angry. He made his way towards her each step shaking the earth like a miniature earthquake. The spectators were unaffected by his steps. Thinking of the spectators made Addie have an idiotic idea, which she hoped Ryan would catch on to.
Addie ran towards the edge of the arena shouting insults at the cyclops. He raced towards her as she fought to keep her balance for a little while longer. He reached down to grab her but she did a little trick she had learned from a friend. She jumped right as he partially grabbed her and sprinted up his arm a little less graceful then Ryan. Dropping his giant hammer nearly hitting Ryan in the process he tries to grab her but to her astonishment she was able to dodge each one. Now she was on his shoulder as he stood to full height probably to make it easier to catch Addie. Taking in a deep breath she jumped off his shoulder and towards the cage surrounding the arena the only thing in their way of escape.
Her timing was impeccable she reached the cage grasping it as it threatened to rip her arms out of her sockets. The cyclops turned towards her as she shouted. "Do you think you can catch me you big, fat, ugly, stupid beast!"
The cyclops roared in anger grabbing his hammer he swung it towards her. In that split second she realized the flaw in her plan what was she supposed to do when he swung at her. The hammer was an inch away from her face when she let go praying she would somehow survive the fall. Ryan caught her probably save her and life or a least a couple of her bones.
Hopping out of his arms she looked up watch in motion her plan the cyclops hammer had driven completely through the cage creating a hole. Nodding towards the hole Ryan followed her gaze, a miniature smile appeared on his face. Together they raced up the cyclops and towards their escape. Ryan helped her get up, but Addie was full of surprises at all times Guards waited for them outside the hole swords drawn. Ryan attacked the closest guard and quickly disarmed the guard taking his sword. Addie was attacking the other guards or rather they were attacking her and she was defending herself. Ryan quickly jumped in handing her his other knife. It didn't take them to much time to take down the guards that surrounded them.
They continued with caution hiding when guards raced past them. "I wonder where they are heading," Addie whispered. Ryan gave quick, carefully nod following behind. The guards had led them to a cave was filled with screaming and metal clanging against each other. Glancing at each other they raced into the cave unsure what they would find.
Inside the cave they saw people, in the worst possible conditions, fighting for their lives. Ryan and Addie jumped in taking down the guards with ease since they had been treated better, so their fights could be interesting. They took down guards left and right heading deeper into the cave. Making them fighters was the second mistake the slave traders made.
