"Is YangYang ok?"

Jaemin asked, petting him to calm him down.

I guess he's not that afraid of them anymore.

"He'll be alright. He just needs to rest for a while. I'll take care of him. You all still have a mission to carry out though"

Sicheng smiled, sending us on our way after we bid our goodbyes.

"Thank goodness we're almost back"

Chenle sighed anxiously.

"Do you think he's doing alright...?"

"I'm sure Jisung is fine. We just have to get him to eat something, and everything will go back to normal"

I pat Renjun's head, and he timidly smiled.

We continued talking amongst each other, until Johnny's voice suddenly boomed in our heads.

"If you don't want your fellow prince to die of hunger, THEN GET YOUR ASSES BACK HERE NOW!"

Jaehyun's voice soon followed.

"Sorry about that. But yes, Jisung isn't doing good. He's not going to make it much longer I'm afraid..."

We all dashed at top speed to the King's and Queen's quarters after hearing that.

The doors were wide open when we got there, and Jaehyun was the first that we saw.

"Where is he???"

Renjun quietly and politely asked.

"Follow me. He's in our room"

Jaehyun quickly led us to their room.

Their room isn't what I expected it to look like at all.

Jisung was laid down in Jaehyun's and Johnny's bed, with his favorite stuffed animal in his hand and a wet towel on his head. They must've brought them for him.

He didn't look good at all. He looked worse than before we left.

"We have to hurry and feed him something. He's burning up, and his life force is slowly deteriorating"

Johnny brought a human hand for us to use.

Yuta dripped some of the potion onto it, and it changed into a food that we've never seen before.

"What...is that???"

Jaemin questioned.

"The bottle says it's called 'Pork and Shrimp Dumplings'?"

Yuta read aloud.

Sicheng did mention that the bottle will show the name of the food that the flesh will change into each time it's used.

Jeno got closer to it, and curiously sniffed it.

"That...smells really good!"

"Don't get too excited Jeno. Jisung has to be the first to try it"

Renjun warned him.

"Now then. I need someone to open his mouth for me, and help me get him to swallow it"

Donghyuck volunteered and held his mouth open, while Renjun placed a dumpling inside.

To our surprise, even though Jisung was extremely weak and in a deep sleep, when Donghyuck closed his mouth, he started chewing it.

After Donghyuck managed to help him swallow it, his eyes began to open. But, his horns, tail, hair, and eyes were completely black, and the veins around his eyes started to turn black as well.

If that happens to a demon, it's a sign that they've gone far past their limits of their hunger.

Jisung has been starving himself for years, and now he's facing the consequences.

Jisung started groaning, and suddenly got a boost of energy. He quickly got out of the bed and tried attacking us.

If a demon is starved this much, then they usually won't hesitate to try and eat other demons, so long as their consuming something. This is the main cause of how ghouls came to be, but I'll be damned if Jisung becomes a ghoul.

We won't let that happen.

"He's much faster than he was before!"

Jeno exclaimed, dodging his attacks and bites.

For some reason, he seems to be attacking Jeno the most. It might be because of how much he eats, and all of the nutrients he's consumed. Jisung must want that so badly, that he's willing to attack Jeno since he eats the most.

"Just a thought, but maybe if we try to keep feeding him the dumplings, he might snap out of it!"

"Right!"

Renjun hid with the dumplings so that Jisung wouldn't see him, trying to think of how to get his attention.

Meanwhile, Jeno was still trying to get Jisung off of his tail. But Jeno tripped and tumbled backwards, allowing Jisung to tackle him to the ground.

"Third Sin Summoning..."

Jeno held out his hands, and Jisung looked like he was about to bite him.

"Scabbard of the Gourmand!"

An orange scabbard appeared in his hands in front of him, and Jisung bit down onto it.

He was lucky to have summoned it in time, otherwise both he and Jisung would've been in trouble.

Johnny then came up behind Jisung and picked him up off of Jeno, by wrapping his arms around his torso. Jisung was unable to break free from his hold because of his immense power.

The scabbard disappeared and Jisung started yelling, as he tried to struggle out of Johnny's hold.

"Jisung! Over here!"

Renjun yelled, and Jisung growled as he focused his attention on him.

Well, at least now he's stopped struggling a little bit.

"You wanna eat right?? Don't waste your time on Jeno when we went through so much to get food for you!"

He scolded him, making Jisung flinch from his raised voice.

"This is why you should've listened to me! I never wanted this to happen to you, but you just insisted on starving yourself! Do you have any idea of how worried we were?! Why do you always have to be so stubborn?!"

He continued to yell at him.

"Hey Renjun? Maybe you shouldn't yell at him. You know how much he hates being yelled at"

"I can't help it Minhyung! Look at what happened to him because I didn't enforce my opinions! If I had just been more stern, then this wouldn't have happened..."

We suddenly heard someone sniffle in the room, and looked around only to find that Jisung had started crying, holding his head down to avoid our gazes.

"I-I...s-sorry..."

He whimpered.

I totally forgot.

When a demon gets hungry like this, it's hard for them to use proper speech, and sometimes they end up not making any sense. But luckily for us, we can understand him.

Johnny gently set Jisung down and he just sat on the floor, quietly sobbing with his head still hung low.

"Fourth Sin Technique..."

Jaemin sat down in front of him, and held out his now glowing hand.

"Undying Rose of Affection"

A pink blooming rose appeared in his hand, and he gave it to Jisung.

Just from holding the rose, Jisung started calming down. Jaemin calmed him more by petting his head.

Renjun walked over with the dumplings, and sat on the floor with them.

"I'm sorry that I yelled at you Jisung.. You just worried us so much..."

He only got a small sniffle in response.

"I know that you're still hungry, so will you please eat the rest of the food that we got for you?"

He looked at the dumplings, and eagerly nodded.

30 Minutes Later

Jisung's eyes turned back to normal, and he started looking a lot better once he started changing back.

However, he still needs to rest for a while to revive his fallen strength. Jaehyun suggested that Jisung should stay with them for the time being, so that he won't get tempted to hang out with us while he's recovering.

Of course Johnny had to comply, but even though he looked fairly irritated, I know that he enjoys the company of the youngest sin.

And since Yuta helped us complete our mission, Jaehyun kept his promise and dubbed him a Royal Guard member. However, he can't go with us on our next task.

He has to stay here, so that Johnny can introduce him to the other Royal Guard members.

But before he left with Johnny, he hugged all of us and kissed Jisung on the forehead, as a thank you for bringing him this far.

We left the potion with Jaehyun after explaining what it does, as well as why it's important to make sure that it doesn't break.

After putting Jisung back to sleep, we left the temple to go on our next mission:

To pay a little visit to the Boar Gang.
