Jisung's POV

"Jisung. I have a proposition. I'll fight this ghoul as a distraction, and you can figure out how to use the power in your bracelet. I may not know what it does, but I have a feeling that it'll be very powerful"

Taeyong whispered as we snuck into the globe.

"You really have that much faith in me hyung...?"

"I have faith in all of you, even the previous princes, despite them not being here with us anymore. You each have a power that none of us can ever hope to reach. I have faith that you'll be able to use yours well"

"But...this is my first time using it. I don't even know how to activate it..."

Taeyong suddenly stopped, and pet my head after he turned around to face me.

"I know that you're scared Jisung. There's a lot of reasons to be scared right now. Even I'm scared, but I'm trying not to show it for your sake. You may not know how to activate your power right now, but you'll know when you really need it"

He smiled to reassure me.

"...Thank you hyung"

He nodded, and held my hand as we continued.

Not long after, we finally found the core room of our globe.

We jumped down, and the ghoul that was hiding in here emerged from the shadows.

"I'm Chae Hyungwon, but you can call me Hyungwon. You two must be Park Jisung, the prince of Sloth, and Lee Taeyong, the Nightmare Boar"

He politely greeted us.

"Jisung. Remember to stay out of this fight until you activate the power in your bracelet. I'll handle this"

Taeyong immediately summoned his Nightmare Bow and Arrows, and commenced his fight with Hyungwon.

I anxiously fiddled with my bracelet, trying to figure out how to activate its power.

But...I've been sleeping for so long. The others have always been the ones to do all of the fighting. But I haven't fought with them for years...

All I've done is avoid who I am by sleeping, and as a result, I've missed out on so much. They even had to save me from myself, before I ended up making the biggest mistake of my life.

If I had become a ghoul, I have no doubt that Wonho would've used me against the others. I would've messed up our lives entirely...

I don't know what could possibly activate this power, especially since I don't remember how to fight properly.

What else could trigger it...?

"Any time now Jisung! Don't overthink it! It might not be as hard as you think!"

Taeyong yelled, struggling in his fight with Hyungwon.

"I'm trying hyung! I-I don't know how it could possibly work...!"

I could feel myself shaking as I began to panic.

"Whatever you two are trying to pull, it won't work against me"

Hyungwon smirked, attacking Taeyong harder.

Taeyong was actually losing now, but I don't know how to help him. I wanted to just give up on the bracelet and help him, but my legs won't move...

How am I too scared to move??!

I'm one of the seven princes! I can't be scared of a ghoul! Right...??

I tried mustering up the courage to help him, but by the time I managed to move, it was too late.

Hyungwon had finally gotten bored of Taeyong, and impaled him with his kagune.

Taeyong dropped his bow, and desperately tried to get himself loose, but he had been severely weakened by Hyungwon's kagune.

He then began using other branches of his kagune to try and pull Taeyong apart, to completely sever him in half.

When I saw the look of pain and fear on Taeyong's face, my heart started racing and I stopped shaking.

"...Stop it"

I mumbled.

Hyungwon ignored me, and continued pulling him apart. Hearing Taeyong scream only made my blood boil even more than it already was.

"Stop it"

I spoke up.

Hyungwon stopped and looked at me. But while looking me in the eyes, he added more force, and I could see Taeyong's body tearing apart as his blood began to spill out.

"I SAID STOP IT!!"

I angrily yelled with my eyes glued shut.

The sight of Taeyong being ripped apart was too much for me.

I didn't hear anything happening after a few seconds, so I opened my eyes. I was surprised to see that the room had went completely dark, and I could only see Taeyong frozen in place. It's almost as if time has frozen.

I suddenly felt hands on both of my shoulders, making me jump a bit. I looked behind me to find two different demons softly smiling at me.

They were floating off of the ground, and they had a purple smoke around them. They look familiar too, but I've never seen them before...?

"It's nice to finally meet you Jisung"

"You don't have to do this alone, so you can rest easy now"

They both softly spoke.

"...?"

"You seem confused. You might know me as Im Jaebum, the second prince of Sloth"

"And you may know me as Min Yoongi, the first prince of Sloth"

They both smiled.

"Wait... Are you serious?? You're both really the actual princes, from the pictures?? But, how are you both here??"

"You called on the power within the bracelet. We made it so that we could show up to assist you anytime you need to use it"

"We may be beyond this life, but we can still help you as your fellow princes. You're our successor, and we'll do anything to keep you from suffering our same fate"

"But... How did I..?"

"You're wondering how you called on this power right? We can explain that. You can't just use this power any time you want to"

"You have to have a reason to use it, as well as a strong emotion added to it. As an example, your reason is to save your friend, and your emotions are sadness, fear, and anger"

"So...I basically activated the power in the bracelet with my emotions..? That's all it took?"

They both nodded.

I guess Taeyong was right. I really was overthinking it...

"We may not have been able to get this far to defeat Wonho and his ghouls, but we know that you and the others will"

"We're here to pass on our power to you. The Idle Bear"

"Idle Bear... How does it work??"

I asked, fiddling with my bracelet.

"Yoongi and I can merge together to become the Idle Bear. We can take Hyungwon down for you, or we can just weaken him enough for you to finish him"

"The choice is completely yours. You don't have to worry about the consequences of either choice. Either way, he'll be dead and Taeyong will be safe"

They reassured me as they explained.

"I think it would be better if you guys could take care of him for me while I rescue Taeyong-hyung.."

"Sounds good"

"That's not a problem at all"

"R-Really?? Thank you~. So...how does the merging part work??"

I curiously asked.

"Like this"

"Watch and be amazed"

Jaebum and Yoongi calmly held hands, and the purple smoke around them grew.

They suddenly formed a huge mechanical bear that grew even bigger in size. They didn't grow much, but they grew enough until their size eventually outmatched everyone in the room.

"As the next Prince of Sloth, you have full control over this Idle Bear. We can make anyone's body fall asleep while keeping them awake and aware of everything that's happening. You can easily use that to your advantage. Just say the word"

They informed me in the form of the bear.

I took a deep breath, and returned my attention to Hyungwon and Taeyong.

"...Freeze"

I mumbled as I slowly approached them.

The room lit back up and time returned to normal, and the bear immediately carried out its intended task.

Though time returned to normal, Hyungwon was stuck in place. His body had fallen asleep, but he was still wide awake as I continued to approach them.

"Seventh Sin Summoning... Blackout Spear"

While Hyungwon struggled, I summoned the main weapon that I used to fight with years ago.

I used the spear to completely sever his kagune from his body.

Because it no longer had a connection to him, his kagune faded away. I caught Taeyong before he could hit the ground, and I picked up the bow as I got him out of harms way.

"He's all yours"

I spoke to the bear, and it immediately began to mutilate him, ripping Hyungwon apart limb from limb.

I could hear Hyungwon's screams, but I ignored it while resting Taeyong against the wall. I returned to the bear to see what was left of Hyungwon, only to find that his head was the only thing still in tact.

The bear had completely ripped his body apart, leaving nothing behind for him to regenerate.

"...Three down,...three to go..."

He quietly mumbled.

His head and disassembled body disintegrated, but the dust collected itself together and formed a stream that escaped through the same way we came in.

Right after the dust escaped, time stopped and the room went dark again, and Jaebum and Yoongi changed back to normal.

"It feels nice to finally get our payback"

"Taking Wonho down will be even more rewarding"

They smiled, content with their work.

I completely forgot that we had to fight Wonho too... His ghouls are strong enough already, I can only imagine how strong he is...

What if our power isn't enough to defeat him, and we end up dead too...?

"Jisung. We know that you're scared. But in the end, fear will only be your downfall. If Minhyung falls, it's over for all of you"

"You just have to trust each other and depend on each other. If you believe that you can defeat him together, then you will defeat him, no matter how intimidating his sin makes him"

They reassured me, holding my hands.

"...Thank you. We'll do our best~"

"Good~. Remember, we'll always be by your side. We'll come to your aid whenever you use this power"

"You'll never walk alone. We'll defeat Wonho together~"

They smiled, and faded away with that final reassurance.

Once they were gone, the bead on my bracelet stopped glowing, and the room and time returned to normal again.

I quickly returned to Taeyong, and quickly tended to his injuries.

"Seventh Sin Technique... Frost of Inertia.."

I made a layer of frost that covered the parts of Taeyong's torso that had been severed from his body.

That way, I would be able to make sure that his blood stopped spilling out and he would stay together. Additionally, the ice also works as a sedative to ensure that he didn't feel as much pain as before.

I carefully picked him up and changed into my Oni form to summon my wings, and I flew out of the globe with him.

I saw the light that Johnny mentioned, and I avoided any incoming ghouls as I made my way to it. But then Taeyong suddenly took his bow from me and summoned more arrows to shoot them down.

"Don't forgot Jisung. We're in this together. I may be hurt and a bit sleepy from the ice, but I can still help you fight"

He insisted, doing a great job of shooting down multiple ghouls.

I smiled and continued to dodge incoming attacks to ensure that we returned to the others safely.

"...I really enjoy working with you hyung. Thank you"
