"Thanks a lot for coming with us guys. We don't know how dangerous the gang of ghouls in Timbermount might be, so we'll need all of the help that we can get"

Renjun explained.

We had no choice but to ask the Boar Gang to come along with us to Timbermount.

Jaemin was completely against the idea, but only because he didn't want to team up with Ten. However, we convinced him to let them come, if we made Ten promise to cool it with his infatuation with him.

So, the King and Queen sent us on our way, and we made it to Timbermount after a while.

"So, this place is supposedly that city that's very difficult to locate. If it weren't for the King giving us directions, we would've had a hell of a time trying to find it"

Chenle frowned.

"I've heard that they call this place 'The Underground', even though in reality, it's clearly inside of a mountain"

Kun informed, with Yukhei clinging to his arm as he looked around.

Taeil proceeded to reach into his pocket, and pulled out ten of his surveillance spy drones.

"I'll let these little guys take a look around the area. Being able to sense the ghouls' presence may not be enough this time"

He explained, releasing them one by one.

"In the meantime, we should scout the city for any other under cover ghouls, and take them out"

"Agreed. We can't waste any time"

Taeyong and Renjun ordered.

"But how do we scout the area without being recognized? Everyone's gonna know that we're the princes"

Jisung inquired.

Kun then snapped his fingers, and black cloaks suddenly appeared on all of us, the hoods thrown over our heads.

"Since I'm a Demon of Deception, I can easily disguise us. There are demons of all shapes and sizes here. And many traveling demons from all over come here in cloaks like these all of the time. We'll be able to blend in easily, as long as we don't take them off while we're out in the open"

"If you guys weren't so busy being a notorious gang, you'd do an amazing job as members of the Royal Guard"

"Or maybe even a new branch of Royal Spies"

Chenle and Jaemin sarcastically scoffed, making Kun frown more than he already was.

He seemed a bit hurt by their sarcasm.

"Well. There's no use in standing here. Let's get moving"

Ten quickly changed the subject.

"Right. We'll split up into four groups of three. Minhyung will go with Donghyuck and Taeyong. Jeno will go with Kun and Jisung. Jaemin will go with Yukhei and Taeil. And I'll go with Chenle and Ten. We're not changing partners, so don't bother complaining. Let's get moving. We'll rendezvous by that clock tower once we've found any clues, or any leads as to where the gang is hiding out"

Renjun ordered, and we all split up.

"There's so many shops here~"

Donghyuck excitedly cheered.

"Don't get too excited Hyuck. We most likely won't be staying for long. But I'll take you shopping when we get home, ok?"

"Okay~"

I held his hand to make sure that he didn't wonder away.

But then, Taeyong suddenly walked off to one of the shops after telling us to stay put. After a few seconds, he came back with three food trays.

"What's this?"

"...It smells like a human pancreas to me~"

Donghyuck analyzed.

"Right you are Greed. It's fried human pancreas. On Earth, humans usually call it Sweetbread, but they use the pancreas of an animal"

Taeyong explained.

"Why buy this for us though?"

I asked, as we proceeded to scout the area.

"As the leader of the Boars, I want us to atone for our past crimes. We really want to help you guys in any way that we can. In the beginning, it was only to make Yukhei happy. But recently, we've been thinking, and we've concluded that we actually like you guys. Everyone looks up to you guys for strength and protection, including us. It feels good right? Being respected and loved by everyone in our world?"

He looked down at his Sweetbread, tightly gripping the tray.

"Actually..., it's not all that it's cracked up to be. It gets overwhelming at times, and then there's the problem with me. My sin is Pride, which is the sin from which all of the other sins arise. So, if I die, then the others will die too. With the sins gone, we can't be reborn. We'll just disappear, forever"

I explained, and Hyuck sadly rested his head on my shoulder.

"I see... Personally, I don't want that to happen. You each have so much to live for, and you're just so young. Not only that, you guys are so fun to be around. I don't want to see the sins destroyed again. You guys are my favorite thus far..."

Wait, what???

What is he talking about??

What does he mean again????

"What are you-"

"Hey guys. We found the hideout. Everyone meet up at the clock tower on the double"

Jaemin ordered, interrupting my question.

We immediately teleported to the clock tower, and met up with the others successfully. 

"So, where's the hideout?"

"We're at the hideout. It's in the clock tower"

Kun informed.

"We just have to travel all the up to the room behind the face of the clock~"

Yukhei cheerfully informed.

Taeil then opened the door to the tower a tiny bit, and sent one of his spy drones inside.

We remained silent for the entire that he was scouting the inside, until we heard him gasp from what he saw.

"What is it hyung???"

Yukhei questioned with great concern.

"Did you find the gang??"

Jeno questioned.

"I did... But there's only two ghouls in there"

"Only two?? I figured that there would be more than that. Unless, they're just that crafty and strong..."

I mumbled.

"I wonder if those last two ghouls that we faced were once a part of the gang before we killed them. Or, maybe they were victims that got turned and escaped..."

"Chunso..."

Jisung frowned.

"...And Yamato"

Renjun folded his arms.

"That's not all. There's two demons up there with them. One of them is tied up, and the other isn't"

Taeil informed.

"Have they been turned into ghouls yet?"

I asked.

"Thankfully, they haven't. But they both look like they won't be able to hold out much longer. We have to rescue them and take them back home to Franta. We have to get them some human flesh to eat as soon as possible, before it's too late"

"Let's get to it then"

Jaemin ordered, opening the door completely.

Kun used his abilities again to mask the sound of us running up the stairs. That way, we could easily sneak up on them.

'First Sin Summoning...'

I prepared myself to defend the others, just in case the ghouls tried to attack us when we entered the room.

Pretty soon, we finally reached the room within the face of the clock.

'Prideful Protection!'

I was right to bring my shield out to protect everyone.

We were attacked as soon as we entered the room. Luckily, I made my shield bigger to ensure that none of us got hit.

Just like last time, bolts of electricity emitted from it, hitting the two ghouls in the process. But they recovered from it almost instantly.

"Guys. They're over there"

Renjun pointed out, after I made my shield a bit smaller.

Indeed, one of the demons was tied up while the other wasn't. They were both beaten up, scared, and starved.

"You two just hang on. It's gonna be alright. We're gonna get you out of here, and properly fed"

Chenle smiled a bit, to reassure them.

They only nodded as a response, and made sure to stay put.

"So, the princes really did show up"

"And they brought snacks with them~"

These two are a lot bolder than Yamato and Chunso were.

And I have no doubt that they're more powerful than they were. They just might pose as a problem for us.

Still, we have to save these two demons, no matter what.

"The price for your crimes is death by the princes. We'll send you both to oblivion"
