"We have a new transfer student, please welcome her with open arms," the teacher announced. I heard there was only one transferee, a specific girl with raven hair. The door slowly opened and came as who I expected yet behind my blue goggles, my eyes were wide in surprise.

"My name is Kawaguchi Kimiko, It is nice to meet you," she said plainly before bowing. Our teacher began to scan the classroom for a vacant seat. I stared at Chieko who was looking around as well. I am not certain if it was intentional, but I noticed that she returned my gaze with her green emerald eyes. She smirked and pointed at a vacant seat that was next to mine.

"Teacher, there is a seat next to Kidou Yuuto-san," the teacher nodded when she had spoke up.

"Well, well, well, if it isn't Kidou-kun. I guess we're in the same class," I rolled my eyes when I heard her whispered. I looked away from the goddess-

'Wh-what...?!' I thought in disbelief. Did I just called her a goddess?

'No no no, I must've meant she was the Goddess of the Soccer Field, yes, that's it,' I tried to assure myself. She was not called as the Goddess of the Soccer Field for nothing.

There was actually a scheduled test today. It was a subject that most people would find difficult to learn and study, and that was English. Chieko was not informed of the said test because it was just her first of day of school.

"You're excused not to take the test, instead, take it next week," said our teacher while handing out the papers already to other students.

"No thank you, I can take the test now," the teacher was mildly surprised with their eyebrow raised in confusion but nonetheless gave her a test that consists of the same three pages as we all have.

When I took a glimpse of the test paper, I knew some of the answers right away. I took my own writing material and began to write down my answers. It was only a matter of minutes that I was able to finish the test. I stood up to give the test paper back to the teacher but I got bumped slightly by the side.

"You're finish!?" the both of us whispered in a loud hush while pointing at each other's papers. We made our way to the teacher placed our papers on top of their table harshly, gaining a loud sound from the table. The teacher looked at us with annoyance and ushered us to go back to our respective seats immediately.

We did as we were told and went back to our seats. I noticed that Chieko was looking at me through the corner of her eyes, she was trying to stifle a smile.

"Don't you think that teacher was annoyed to see us finish the test early?" she quietly giggled with her hands to cover her mouth.

"I always get that reaction whenever I always finish the test quite early," I said to her with a knowing smile. When we were able to settle down on our seats, Chieko had tried to reach for my arm. I turned my head with a raised eyebrow.

"So, still the prodigy I know?" She tilted her head with a small smile. I smirked widely in response.

"Of course I am," I boasted in an awfully playful manner. She laughed and punched me on the arm lightly. That felt so familiar, it was like how she would always do.

"You're still the same as ever, Kidou-kun," she sighed and let her head fall to her arms on her desk. I chuckled at her tired form. She must have been viewed as a girl with a cold heart, a mean and haughty personality. She was more than her looks. Deep inside, if you are somebody close to her heart, she would reveal her true nature.

Was being cold to me was just her cover-up?

The school ended quite well, except for the constant competition that naturally came to Chieko and I. There was even an instance that Chieko had proposed another challenge,

"Whoever changes faster first will be the winner."

"Do you think I would care?"

"If I get to change faster, that means you're high maintainance." I was caught off-guard by that. Chieko could only laugh like a crazy woman before going to the female's changing room.

"Such a troublesome woman," I sighed while walking on the path, going to the soccer field. The weather was great, Endou was really into training in this condition.

"Alright!" Endou beamed, pushing his fist up to the air. Everybody began to line up in pairs to jog around the field for twenty rounds. We began to chant about winning the Footnall Frontier Tournament that had made Chieko confused but she tried to blend in with us, chanting along as we continue on jogging.

"So you haven't cut connections with Sakuma and the others, right?" I heard Chieko's slightly shaky voice right next to me. We were already in our fifteenth round. There were already a few getting slower yet Endou Kazemaru and the others who has a much decent stamina were still keeping up the fast pace.

"We're still friends, of course," I replied, fixing my goggles that were falling off slightly. I remember that I had adjusted it properly, why is it even falling off? I heard Chieko chuckled in amusement. I rolled my eyes as we still continued to keep up with just the first order of the training menu today.

We sighed in relief after it was finish. Quickly, after steadying our breaths we started for another set of warm-up. Once we finished preparing for our bodies, we began to gather around for further instructions for the next training menu for each of us.

Coach Hibiki glanced at Chieko for a brief moment then looked at all of us. He started to give his instruction for everyone's training excercise for now.

"...Kidou and Kawaguchi, you'll train with Endou," Endou grinned and gave a thumbs-up to me and Chieko. I just nodded in Endou's direction. Chieko grunted and went ahead in front of the goal that we were assigned. I wonder what caused her to be unresponsive to Endou's usual joyful outbursts unlike earlier.

"Alright! Don't hold back!" Endou exclaimed while preparing himself. I send the ball as hard as I can to the side of the goal. He leaped in and caught the ball with both of his hands, the ball now leaning against his chest. He got up and threw the ball to Chieko, who got it with her chest. She balanced the ball on her knee.

"Nice shoot, Kidou!" I smiled and then looked at Chieko. She seemed to be spacing out, but no moments passed by she immediately regain her posture and dropped the ball to the ground. Once again, Endou prepared himself.

She kicked the ball, it was send like a circulating motion that Endou did not knew where to go to get the ball because of the speed she kicked with so much pressure.

"Amazing!" Endou got up with Chieko giving him a hand. Endou looked at Chieko and his eyes sparkled in determination.

She looks distracted for some reason.

"I'll definitely block that shoot!" She looked at Endou with amazement. She was slightly in a haze, but she nodded quietly and walked up again in front of the goal post again. There were a few shoots that she was able to get in but no moment later, Endou would catch up to her technique, blocking them successfully. We kept on training until a break time was initiated. One by one, we went to the benches where the managers were giving out our drinks.

"She's really from Teikoku...right?" Haruna suddenly asked me, I nodded in reply and continued to drink my water.

"I got information from Teikoku Academy," she whispered quietly, I widen my eyes and looked at her. She nodded that she was being serious and I sat down next to her, unaware there was a pair of eyes staring at us.

"These were from Sakuma-san and the others when I came in contact with Teikoku's information," she gave me her laptop. I was well aware of her information yet when my eyes began scanned screen, I could not believe it.

My hands dropped in utter incredulity. I was in confusion whether they were even authentic or not, but it was from the Academy itself, it must have been true. I thanked my younger sister and began to walk back to the side of the court.

"You read it, have you not?"
