Chapter 1: The Arrangement
Residing on the Earth, area filled with vast land had been inhabited by humans. It was a place filled with magic, dragons, Knights, royalty, and adventure. Of course, the people needed to be governed, so leaders had been elected, or rather, Kings and Queens. One person couldn't be assigned to lead everyone, for dictatorships were not tolerated by the people. In turn, five leaders had been selected to rule over what had been come to be known as the Five Great Nations.
In the North, the region known as the Land of Earth, the people are ruled by the Dragon Tamer, Ryukyu. Her adopted daughter, Princess Momo Yaoyorozu, is to take care of the kingdom once the time comes. This region is known for its beautiful sights filled with forests, plateaus, and huge mountain ranges. Because of this, people come from all places to see the sights.
In the South, the region known as the Land of Water, the people are ruled by Princess Sirius, the once fearless general of a ship fleet which was lead by the former ruler of the Land of Water, King Selkie. This region is filled with vast oceans and raging rivers. The people who inhabit it are very calm and peaceful. Their inn service is the best and known to have the greatest fishermen around.
In the East, the region known as the Land of Fire, the people are ruled by the powerful tyrant king Endeavor. His castle is known to be surround by a now dormant volcano, known to be powerful enough to wipe away all of the Great Nations. He trained up four children, one who is said to be passed on, the other two were too weak to be good rulers in his eyes, and finally his youngest, Prince Shoto Todoroki. Because the Icy Hot prince is the most powerful and most fit to rule, King Endeavor decides to pass the kingdom down to him.
In the West, the region known as the Land of Wind, the people are ruled by the kindest and most welcoming ruler, King Fat Gum. This Kingdom is known for it boundless hospitality and heartwarming welcomes. People even go so far as to say that this nation had the best rule, for the next ruler doesn't have to be related by blood, only by approval and leadership ratings. Because of people's likings, the Land of Wind will be taken over by the shy but brave Tamaki Amajiki.
Finally, in the middle off the other four, the region known as the Land of Lighting, the people are ruled by the most popular and most powerful ruler, King All Might. This region is where the greatest knights are trained, having great battle strategies and wondrous speed. They are known to only help the Five Great Nations, using their abilities for their allies sake.
But, here we begin our story in the vast Land of Fire, where the tyrannous King Endeavor decides to have his youngest son get on with an arrangement that has come in agreement to unite two of the Great Nations together. This is the story of Prince Shoto Todoroki, the half and half boy who shall be named king one day. And so, his tale begins here.

The Land of Fire's castle boomed with a deep and hard voice, coming from the throne room. The voice had yelled out the loudest anyone could, "SHOOOTTOOOOOOOO!!!" It was almost amazing how one voice could shake a huge castle like this one, but to the Todoroki bloodline, it was nothing more than expected.
The boy bearing two hair colors had been looking up at his room's ceiling with his hands under his head. He had been up for hours knowing that he had to get up, but he wanted to ignore his father a bit longer. He rustled in his bed sheets and turned to the side until he heard another yell. He shook his head and sighed, "If only there was someway to turn off my dumb alarm clock."
He threw his blanket off of him and propped himself off of his bed. He knew that if he hadn't gotten up now, his father would be yelling for hours. He rubbed his eyes and yawned, stretching out his arms before standing himself up. He got to his feet and opened his closet, taking out his favorite outfit. Before heading off down the corridor, he opened his balcony window, and breathed in the fresh air. He loved looking at all the sights every morning, as the landscape never got old. The birds were chirping and had landed on the balcony railing, as if they were greeting the handsome prince.
A creak came from the huge door in the young prince's room, scaring off the small birds, and catching his attention. He turned to see what exactly had been going on, and only saw his two siblings greet him at the door. The oldest, Princess Fuyumi, had sighed, because the other one, Prince Natsuo, hadn't knocked before coming in. Their gray eyes landed on Prince Shoto's and they were relieved to have seen him awake.
"Hey, good morning, Shoto. I know you just woke up, but I think that you should go talk to father before he yells anymore..." The oldest had taken action on speech, before the other one could say anything.
Shoto sighed and looked slightly annoyed by the fact that he would have to confront his father, "Yeah, I guess I'll be heading off then..."
The bi colored boy had made his way through the corridor, while his two siblings stayed behind, not wanting to get involved in the meeting with their father. They waved the prince goodbye as they saw him reach the main hall that lead to the throne room. He rubbed the back of his head, getting ready to be annoyed beyond belief, for he didn't want to see his father, much less talk to him.
When he entered the throne room, King Endeavor looked pleased to see his son before him. Flames licked Endeavor's body, covering his face with heat and his kingly robes. Even his golden crown had small flames rather than gems. To the young prince, he looked almost like a birthday cake with too many flames lit, however, King Endeavor liked it nonetheless.
"Shoto, why did you take so long to show up!?" The King impatiently tapped his fingers on the arm rest of his huge throne.
Prince Shoto didn't care about the words he chose to speak to his father. He only answered blankly and straightforward, "Because I didn't want to come."
The king's nostrils flared, and along with them, the flames that engulfed him grew larger and hotter. He took in a deep breath, trying not to get angry at his son, "Shoto, you know we have a very important discussion today!"
"Yeah, and that's my problem how?" The prince looked tired and annoyed. He didn't want to be dealing with this when he just got out of bed. He would rather be sitting in his room doing nothing.
Endeavor cleared his throat, obviously aggravated, "You know this is about discussing your place as the next king of the Land of Fire." His cold hard stare remained on Shoto, making sure that he had been listening to his words. "As you know, the Land of Earth has been trying to have a joined kingdom with us for decades now."
The prince sighed, "Damn, you're old." He looked off to the side with a snarl, not wanting to make eye contact with the king.
Endeavor hit his fist against the side of his throne, "If you would allow me to finish," he said raising his voice for a bit, "The Land of Earth and the Land of Fire have come to a conclusion. We shall unite us both using the marriage of you and their own Princess."
Those words got the young prince's attention, and he finally brought himself to look at the man sitting on the throne before him. "An arranged marriage, huh? What makes you think I want to take part in that?"
"You remember the girl, Princess Momo Yaoyorozu, was it?" He was remembering what his discussion was with the Land of Earth and Queen Ryukyu. "You two met when you were just small children."
The prince scoffed and pinched the bridge of his nose. He shook his head, "Just because you say that I should do something doesn't mean I want to, old man."
The king smirked, knowing that his son would say something like that. He nodded his head and proceeded to say, "I see where you're going at, but if we join our kingdoms together, our army will be stronger. On top of that, that's one less kingdom to destroy."
Shoto stopped doing what he was doing and widened his gaze at the floor. He had come to the realization that his father had been right. He sure did know how to get his son's attention and approval. If he agreed to marry this princess, then less people would die by the name of his kingdom. However, this may be at the expense of his own happiness. He stood there in the center of the throne room, frozen in his thoughts. His father just sat on his throne with the lasting smirk, waiting for his son to give his reply. The older Prince and Princess has been listening to the conversation from the long corridor, curious as to what the king had in store for their brother.
Shoto's pupils had been shaking as he was still frozen in place for a while. Finally, he took in a deep breath, ready to reply to his father. With an exhale, he let out a few shaky words, "I... agree to your terms."
Fuyumi and Natsuo gasped, quickly covering their mouths before the king could hear them. They frantically shook their heads, knowing that Shoto has just made a deal with the devil.
"Good." King Endeavor's grin only grew in size when hearing the sound of his son's reply. He then took out a scroll, telling him the details, "You shall rendezvous with the princess in the Land of Earth. Ten days from now is when you two shall meet. I suppose you know that if you don't show up in time, things won't turn out good for you or for the Land of Earth." He rolled up the scroll and handed it to one of his nearby servants.
"Ten days..." Shoto trailed off in his thoughts. He only had ten days until his wedding, until his fate would be decided. It hurt him a little, knowing that the rest of his life would either be war or living with a princess he hardly knew.
"Sir, if I may." One of the knights had been standing at the throne room entrance for a while. King Endeavor gestured for him to come closer and allow him to speak. The Knight fixed his glasses and cleared his throat, "If the prince is going to travel to the Land of Earth, I cannot allow him travel on his own. We need at least a four man squad."
The king nodded, "If that's how you want it, then so be it. If you can gather a four man squad, then Prince Shoto will be on his way as soon as possible."
"Sir, that is my sworn duty to protect Prince Shoto. I will follow your orders at once." He bowed in front of the king and left the castle's main entrance, on his way to search for a willing group.
"As for you," his gaze returned to the bi colored boy, "Pack your things, I'm sure your trusty Knight, Tenya Iida, will not fail you."
"Of course." He walked back off down the corridor, past his siblings, and down to his room's entrance.
His two siblings approached him, fear in what swarm of emotions he might be feeling at this moment. "Shoto, are you okay?"
Shoto's eyes narrowed, as he keep on staring at the door. He put his hand on the knob and closed his eyes tightly for a few seconds. "If it means that more people live, then I will go on with my orders." He opened his door and closed it shut behind him. His siblings looked at each other and sighed.
The young prince started to go through his things as he needed to get ready to leave as soon as Iida came back with a squad. He grabbed a picture frame from on the top of his nightstand and sighed at the sight of it. "I'm sorry mother. If only you weren't in your position, then maybe... then maybe things wouldn't be going so bad for the Five Great Nations." He stared softly at the picture of his mother and sighed, knowing that he might not see her again.
