Chapter 9-"Surely I secured a place in hell for togniht"

Kiara Knight's POV

I comb my hair one last time and look at myself in the mirror to make sure that I am looking perfect. My palms eased on my waist as I soothed it. I wore a one piece dress that reached my mid thigh and a light gold printed rose designs etched the whole dress. The sleeves look as though they are sliding down my shoulder and it has a deep neck.

My brown hair is left down and I wore reddish pink lipstick with less make up on my face. I blow dried my hair, so it looks a bit free and sexy. I smile at myself in the mirror.

My brothers should see me now. They would totally call me a woman. At least I hope they do. A groan left my mouth as I thought what they might do the other way around. They would laugh at me and say I have gone crazy. I have already tried one of the clothes that may look sexy and they laughed at my face. That two years before though. I never wore anything like this after that.

I turn right and left to look at myself. Would Alex think I am hot? Would he look at me as a woman if he sees me like this? Or would I still look like a kid to his eyes? Stop it Kiara! Stop it! You and Alex won't ever have a chance! Stop thinking about him! You are going on a date with Sam! Not Alex!

I sigh looking at myself in the mirror as I remind myself. Alex said he has a meeting today so he might be late. That's another added point. I can come home soon without him knowing that I went out. I ran my hand through my hair and took my purse. Stuffing my phone and my debit card in it, I zipped it and walked out.

It feels new to walk in high heels as I don't wear them much. I wore a pair of black heels with gold shiny design so that it matches my dress. I did a demo walk in front of the mirror once and smiled with confidence as I did it good.

I look at the clock in my room and found that it's fifteen minutes to eight. If I start now, then I will reach the place that he told me to come by eight. It's some seven star restaurant. We are going to dine there as he reserved a seat for us.

Sam told me to come by myself as there will be security problems if he comes. Of course, for some reason no one in my family members don't like him. But Sam is so sweet.

I walked out of the pent house and went into the lift before pressing the button for ground floor. Soon I reached the ground floor and walked out of the lift. Once I am out of the building, I took a cab and told him the address as I got in. My phone buzzed in my purse. I took it out and found a message from Sam.

Baby, did you take cab?

Yes, I am on my way. I typed the response.

Okay. I am waiting. Come to table number 12 once you reach I pouted once I saw his message. Would he not even come and take me inside. Maybe I am expecting too much. I press my lips together. I should stop being like this. Maybe this is how all the dates go. But still it's a date. Come on Kiara! You should not be sad on a date night. I tell myself and smile.

Fifteen minutes later I reached the hotel and came out of the cab once I gave him the charge. I walked in. I am feeling this... this jumpy feel. A bit nervous and happy too. For some reason I feel like something is not right too. Everything is going to be fine Kiara I walk in to the restaurant side and the man standing beside it opened the door with a smile. I gave him one back.

Once I am in, my eyes searched for Sam. Soon mine met with a pair of dark brown orbs and I smiled widely. There he is. See, Sam is here. Everything is alright I just worry too much. He gave me a wide smile and got up. My feet carried me there as I tried to walk a bit sexily swaying my hips. This is so new, I never did it.

Once I reached near, I hugged him tightly. I missed him a bit. He is the only person that I had contact with out of my world.

"Hi!" I can't stop the grin as I pull back. His hands are still on my waist. He looked at me from top to bottom.

"Wow Baby! You look so sexy!" I stilled for minute not knowing what to say. Is it a compliment? My lips turned up in a awkward smile.

"Thank you?" It came out more of a question.

"Welcome Baby. I missed you." He pulled the chair for me as he said that and I smiled before sitting in it. I set my purse on the table and look at him.

"Thank you."

"You are welcome, ma'am." I giggle and he chuckled before sitting down in the chair opposite to me.

We smile at each other. He is wearing a white shirt and a grey shirt. His blond hair is pulled up stylishly and he looks so fresh.

"So, how have you been? Did you go and experience the life a New York?" Sam asked and I gave him an are-you-kidding look.

"Of course not. I still have to. The good news is Alex has reduced my security. I am a bit free to go anywhere here."

"Reduced your security, huh?" He gave me a smile, but it is a bit creepy I should say. Maybe I am just imagining things.

"Yes. But it looks like it should be back on."

My eyes went wide as I heard the very familiar sexy masculine voice. Is he here? Is it Alex? I saw a pair of black boots beside me and I look up, my gaze following the black suit and pants that he wore along with a white shirt. His five O clock shadow looks so hot on him. His sea green eyes are looking at Sam as he answered. His gaze later shifted to me and I looked away. I am spellbound by his look.

He looks so sexy and hot! Shut up Kiara! You are caught! I remember that I didn't tell Alex about me going out. When he asked if I was going out tonight, I told him 'Nope', while popping P. Well now you will pop up like a popcorn once you go home Kiara! I look at Sam and he looks shocked and a bit uncomfortable.

"Hey Alex!" I said like a scared kitten. He gave me a smile and turned around before snapping his fingers and calling the waiter. He pointed his index finger towards the table arrogantly and the waiter nodded his head before bringing a chair for him. Once the waiter left, Alex sat in it. He put one leg over the other. His left leg ankle is tough the knee of his right leg.

There was silence between us for a minute. I then look up at him. A nervous laugh left my mouth.

"Alex, what are you doing here?"

"I would like to ask you the same question, Little One. But, from the looks of it, I can tell this is the Sam that you are dating." He spit out the words 'The Sam' like it's a poison. "Hi! I am Alex. Kiara might have told you about me." I glared at Alex. Sam looks like he has suddenly seen a dinosaur.

"Oh yes, She did. It's nice to meet you sir." Sam took Alex's hand respectfully. Alex gave him an arrogant smile.

"It should be." Alex said and I looked at him shocked. He is behaving differently. This is not the Alex I know. He turned to look at me once he pulled his hand back from Sam. "Your security is going to be back on once we walk out of this hotel Little One." His voice now doesn't contain that arrogance, but it still contains the dominance. My mouth opened wide in shock.

"But, Alex-" He cut me off.

"You promised to tell me wherever you go remember? You didn't tell me that you are coming here today. "

"How do you even know that I am here."

"Remember, I told you that I have a meeting today?" I think back and nod my head. He said that he has a meeting and he will be late. "Well, I have the meeting with the CEO of this hotel and I came to dine here when I saw you." I gulped. I am truly in my own pit.

"Alex, actually..." I trailed off and looked at him. He is waiting for me to continue. "I, uh..." I wet my lips. "I thought to tell you, but..." This time I look at Sam and he is looking at me too. How can I tell Alex in front of Sam the reason? Alex doesn't like Sam that's why I didn't tell him that I am meeting Sam. Urgh!

"It's okay, Little One. I am not angry at you."

Another minute of silence.

"Let's eat. Have you guys ordered something? Waiter!"

The food arrived after a while as we ordered. All of us are eating silently. Me and Sam felt uncomfortable while Alex is the one who does the talking. He would smile at me, but whenever Sam asks a question he would give answers sarcastically or arrogantly. I gave him a silent glare.

I chew on my chicken piece and was about to reach for my glass of water when my fingertips touched the sauce in my plate accidentally. I put my finger in my mouth and licked the sauce from my hand. I look up and find both of them looking at me. Alex gaze is set straight on my lips.

Why is he looking at me like that?

Soon his eyes met mine and I raised my eyebrows at him and he quickly looked away. I look at Sam who is still staring at my lips. When he looked at me I gave him a smile.

Later after that I crossed my legs. My right over my left. Alex was sitting to my right. His gaze fell on my legs. My short dress spiked up a bit exposing more of my leg. Then his gaze moved up to my neck as he is analyzing me. Then I understand why he is looking at me like that.

Maybe at least now he will think that I am a woman? Does he find me sexy? Does like the way I dressed? Maybe I should behave bit much sexier. Shut up, Kiara! Your boyfriend is right in front of you and you are concerned about what Alex might be thinking? But I can't stop myself. This is the first time Alex is looking at me... as a woman... at least I think.

I look up at Sam and found him eating. I let out a sigh of relief as he didn't find me looking at Alex dreamily. Alex is still looking at me. I can't help it, so I moved my hair from my right to left sexily, exposing my right shoulder.

"So, Kiara, you said you went to a movie last week. How was it?" My concentraton shifted to Sam from Alex. My silent flirting paused as I look at him with a smile. Before I can respond, Alex beat me to it.

"It was okay. It was a romantic comedy movie. She didn't like it much. But she liked the experience of watching it alone. Oh d she liked the pop corn there she said." I look at Alex and glared at him.

"Oh." It was the only response came from Sam.

"Did you tell him that I am taking out this weekend to show you New York?" Alex asked and I was glad he gave me an excuse to talk with Sam. But I was happy too soon.

"No. Actually-" I am cut off again.

"I promised to take her to Empire state building and show her some other places in New York. She is so excited." Alex said and Sam gave him an awkward smile back as he looked at me and signed silently to ask Alex go. I nodded my head. Don't want to ask Alex to go.

"Um... Alex. We are on a date." I said pointing to me and Sam. "So..." I trailed off hoping he would understand. He gave me a questioning look.

"So? What is it Little One?" He knows we want some privacy, but still he is doing this. One side I don't want him to go, on the other side I want to be on date with Sam. "You want wine, champnage?"

"Um... No. Leave it." Alex moved his chair closer to mine. He took my hand in his. His touch is so magical. He looked into my eyes and I am lost in those sea green orbs.

"Tell me Little One. What is it? You don't like the food here?" He is behaving like he cares now. Of course, he cares, but he never shows it out much. Why is he doing this?

"Ugh... Ugh... The food is good. It's... It's nothing. I don't know what I was thinking." I look at Sam and found his shaking his head. I sigh. I like having Alex here.

"Waiter!" Alex snapped his fingers. Once the waiter came, he pointed to my empty glass. The waiter filled it with water.

"Do you need anything else sir?"

Alex didn't even look at the waiter, he just dismissed him with his fingers. I drank some water and gulped it down. The air around us is still thick. I can't take this anymore.

I stand up and both the men stood along with me.

"I want to go home." I started walking out of the restaurant to the hotel lobby and soon Sam followed me.

"Baby!" I turn back to look at him. Alex is not there.

"I am so sorry for today Sam. Am I new to this?" I smiled at him. Whenever we were together my bodyguards always used to be there.

"Thanks for putting up with me." He hugged me. I hugged him back.

"Come on, don't say that now." I smiled more.

"Sorry for being late. Someone should pay the bill now right?" We pulled away as we heard Alex's voice. Sam's hand is on my waist, which didn't go unnoticed by Alex. His implication being that Sam must have paid as we both were on a date. But what will Sam do? It was the moment I walked out. He must have been least bothered about the bill.

"Someone should not have interrupted a couple who were having a dinner too." I gaze up at Sam angrily. Did he just insult Alex?! If it was someone else I would have scared the shit out of them. Sam didn't notice me glaring at him though. I moved out of his embrace. His hug felt cold, not the warm kind. I want to shout at Sam. He looked down at me and leaned down to kiss my cheek when Alex interrupted.

"Let's go Little One." Suddenly Alex pulled me along with him before Sam can kiss my cheek. I look back at Sam. I am still angry at Sam for insulting Alex, but I don't know when I will see him again.

"Bye Sam!" I said while Alex dragged me to the car that has been brought by the valet.

"Bye Kiara. I will miss you Baby!" He waved his hand at me with a smile on his face. Alex came and sat down beside me while his driver drove the car.

Once we are out of the hotel, I folded my arms near my chest and looked out of the window.

"Little One." I heard him calling, but still didn't turn to look at him. "Is my Little One angry at me?"

"Of course. You didn't even let me have my date kiss, which was on my cheek." Suddenly I felt being pulled to him as his hands were on my waist. I felt his lips press against my cheek and linger for a second before pulling away. My eyes went wide and my mouth dropped open. Did Mr. Hot really kiss me on my cheek?

"There. Happy?"

"Alex." I look at him in shock.

"Now let's talk about his date thing on which you went without telling me."

I pouted. My shock didn't last for long and soon I am cursing myself.

Did I sign my death warrant when I agreed to come on this date? Surely I secured a place in hell for tonight. I look down at him and gave him a cheeky smile, but he looks like he is not going to fall for it.

Kiara, prepare for hell!
