Chapter 1. Break time and Blurred memories

(Location: Destiny's Bounty{Willow's POV})

It doesn't take long for what little peace I found with Kit to be completely and utterly smashed by the ninja.

"And who is pumped for today?" I huff as Jay screams from across the hallway. He and his brothers must have just woken up.

I debate on whether or not to go somewhere else and escape or just to stay put. Kit smiles at me. "Finally! They sleep forever!"

I attempted to give her a tiny smile, "They've got to sleep sometime Kitkat." Ok, not great sisterly advice but whatever.

A small creek rings from a loose floorboard, Lloyd's standing in the middle of the hallway shirtless where the girls' door is, "Kai. Is your turn for laundry. What's taking so long?" Lloyd looks for a better place to yell by turning to us.

I hum a little as I study his figure, Holy bologna, look at those abs. Lloyd is C-U-T. My cheeks crank themselves to heat dial one hundred and keep climbing.

"Lloyd!" Kit covers her eyes, "Get a shirt."

Lloyd blushes from embarrassment then spinjutezus away. "Sorry girls."

Kit waves her hand in front of my face, "Earth to Willy. Please leave admiration island and come to sisterlandia."

I shake my head and feel my cheeks, they're practically hotter than the sun. "Sorry, I got a little distracted."

My shoulders slump as I hear them racing towards the kitchen, their feet pounding on the floorboards.

"Who is cooking this fine morning?" Zane asks as they run below deck. I roll my eyes. Even the robot thinks with his stomach.

"Come on, Kit, time for breakfast," I fold up her picture and place it in my pocket before I take her hand and begin to lead her out of the small sitting room. The ninja are in their PJ's while Wu and Lloyd's parents are fully dressed. Nya has on a shorter version of her red dress, probably due to the coming summer. Apparently, Kai lacks the quality for laundry as Lloyd has to wear a green cotton towel.

"According to the chore wheel, Cole." Lloyd sighs as glee stretches over Cole's face. His face looks red, and his hair looks like it's been through a mega blow-dryer: he must have come in from his flight with Ultra only minutes before.

"Perfect, I've been dying to try this new recipe. See ya!" Cole dashes off to the kitchen as the ninja mourn. I wasn't aware that he even knew what a recipe was. I trail behind them, vaguely wondering how long until they notice I'm here. I look at Kit and hold my finger to my lips, and her eyes widen before a large grin spreads across her face and she repeats the action.

"Great, I love starting my day off feeling sick." Jay makes a ridiculous face as they enter their room.

That peaks my interest, "Why, nervous I'm gonna beat you in the tournament today?"

Jay jumps a foot in the air at my voice, "Where did you come from?"

"Well, Jay," I have a tiny smirk on my face as Kit watches in amusement, "When a Mommy Fay and a Daddy Fay really love each other.."

"Ew!" Jay covers his ears as Kai rolls his eyes at my humor.

Lloyd snickers as Zane looks a little confused, "Yay. We're getting through to her if she can make a joke around us."

I drop my smirk, "Yeah well. I don't break easily Greenie. So don't expect anymore anytime soon."

{Location: The Hollow woods}(Katara's POV)

My fists clench as I look at the pond before me. It just wasn't fair!

"Now wasn't that fun?" Jezzie pokes her head out from behind a tree. "Dimension traveling always leaves me feeling... elated. Isn't that funny?"

"No. Nothing about this is funny at all! Just annoying, like you." I spit at the ground before her feet. She holds her hands up, but gives me a slow, dragging smile, her red lips revealing pearly white teeth. Idiot. I'm surrounded by idiots.

"Hey, don't get mad at me, I'm not the one who's giving orders here," Those red lips of hers form a pout. I want to rip those lips from her mouth.

She walks up to me, her movements slow and snake-like but her smile bright. How could she be enjoying this drudgery?

"I mean... it's not my fault that even though you succeeded daddy dearest is ignoring you and refusing you what you want. That's not my fault at all,"

I bare my teeth at her. When father takes over Trylle, Ninjago, and all the other realms and we don't need her anymore, she'll be one of the first to die. I'll make sure of it.... I can see it now: her begging and pleading as I make sure that she dies slowly, painfully.

Though it will be nowhere near as painful or as slow as Willow's death will be.

I smile at the thought, provoking a raised eyebrow from Jezebel which I ignore, but then my grin falters.

Why would I hurt my twin? My heart whispers. In my mind, I race for the memory of Roberto's death, and how happy Alaula looked when she pulled the trigger as a debate to my feelings. Instead, I found it to be troublesome, my memory was different, Alaula was standing behind Roberto as he took the bullet.

"...You ok?" Jezzie grabs a vial of purple liquid from the fold of her dress and uncorks the lid.

"Of course I'm fine, nitwit!" I pinch the bridge of my nose.

Jezzie just gave me a closed lip smile as her violet eyes flashed. "Hm... I don't think so. Maybe it's time for your medicine, sugar-plum." I respond by lunging at her- no one calls me sugar plum and gets away with it!- but she blasted me with her mind, bringing me to my knees.

Jezzie held a hand to her chest in mock offendedness. "There's no need to get dramatic about it. Come on, Katara... or are you going to be a baby and complain?" She wags the vial in front of my face.

I growl at her, but she just pinches my cheeks, "Time for your medicine." She repeats as she pours the liquid in my mouth while talking in a singie song voice. She lets go, and I have a quick dizzy spell then feel better. My memory of my sister killing Roberto was glossy and shiny now, and it played as I remember it. "Feel better?" Jezzie put the vile away in her backpack.

"Much. Thanks." I smile at the only person in the realm who liked me. That smile used to be reserved for my sister... she gave all that up a long time ago, when she abandoned me and killed Roberto.

"While you were looking at a stupid pond, I restocked, so you'll have plenty of more medicine to come. Let's get out of here. Personally, I never liked forests." Jezzie picks up her things and leads the way to a bunch of caves.

"The Caves of Despair. The name alone should keep the Ninja out." I smirk as I follow Jezzie like a tin soldier. We found a small cave in the ceiling that had a sole skeleton in it. The skeleton wore rags with the Ninjago symbol for wind on his bony chest. Other than some hair not much remain. Still, I bowed my head and showed by respect for the person.

"Perfect." Jezzie waltzes over and picks up the skeleton's leg bones. "Now we have another weapon at our disposal."

"Put it back. We don't know if their ghost is here or not." I glare at Jezzie's stupidness- please, the dogs we're fighting aren't literal canines- "Besides, it's disrespectful."

Jezzie shrugs and puts the bones back. "Party pooper."

"Let's move on to more important things. Like how to get back to Trylle." I wish I was better at opening portals. I could barely make a portal big enough to transport a horse fly across the cosmos... I'll learn one day, though. I refuse to rely on Jezzie for this for too much longer.

"Problem solved." Jezzie holds up some tea leafs, snaps her fingers and dry wood appears over some rocks, "Traveler's tea."

"Is there enough for the two of us?" I raise an eyebrow, and the corner of my lip pulls up into a sneer. That stuff doesn't come in large packages.

"Yup. Now help me." Jezzie put the leafs in my hand and I did as she said. My eyes drift to the skeleton, I don't even know that person, why do I feel such empathy to it? I start the fire as Jezzie counts out loud our items. Imagination slowly grips me as Jezzie hums some annoying song. Was this person on a quest? Maybe he was looking for the Scythe of Quakes here? I bet was a warrior or a traveler of some kind. Maybe he was doing the same thing I am. Gosh, his hair looks a lot like Roberto's..except for that pesky green hair strip. Wait, why do I care for a pile of bones? He can't help me. He should keep resting in peace while I take care of my own problems.

{Location: Destiny's Bounty}{Willow's POV}

"STAND STILL WOULD YOU?!" Jay screams as he charges at me. That would defeat the purpose, lighting-rod.

I slip under his guard and flip kick his stomach. He falls on him back with an OoF! I hold back a snarky comment in favor of focusing on the task at hand.

Kai yells as he charges at me- don't announce your attacks, hot head- I dodge to the left and kick his outstretched arm to the ground, making his sword fly out of his hand. I grab the sword with my right hand. I hiss- the metal's hot, but my gloves help. I can do this.

Forming an x with our swords I cage Kai, pinning him down and making him officially out. He grumbles as he crawls off the mat, and Lloyd gets up for another attack. Ok, I can't go hand to hand with Lloyd, that was proven when Katara was mind controlling him. But I bet he wouldn't expect his brother's weapon to fight for me.

I blast him with the sword of fire, and Lloyd evades as Zane comes in with his weapons out. I stick the sword of fire in the floorboards. Jay recovers and charges at me from behind. I push myself up like a plank on the sword. Jay tumbles under me and into the mast. I let gravity pull me down as Zane gets closer.

"I believe that I have you now," Zane smirks as I let go of the sword of Fire. It hit his face with a djoing sound.

"Oh really?" I smirk. I hear Cole tiptoe behind me.

"We have been working hard. How about you cool off?" Zane throws his shurikens as Cole reaches for me. I jump up high above Cole. The shurikens hit Cole instead of me. A large ice block covers him as I land on the railing of the bounty. I spring up and stand on top of the ice. I hold my sword up as the Ninja struggle to get up.

"I win." I let a smirk glide over my stoic face as Nya draws a line on the chalkboard. I had won six rounds to the Ninja's one.

"She's smaller than us, has no elemental powers, and we outnumber her. How'd we lose?" Zane grounds as he held his face. Maybe I let the sword hit him too hard.... But he's made of metal, he can take it.

"Because I can defy odds Nindroid." I bite my lip as my accent slips into my mouth. The impossible is my realm. Screw odds.

"UMMMG!" Cole mutters under the ice. I struggle to keep a full-blown smirk from maring my stone features.

"Hold on, I'm coming." Kai pulls at his sword; it barely moves for him. He glares at me, but I ignore him.

"That was awesome! Way to go Willy!" Kit exclaims as I got off the Cole-cube.

"I believe that Willow has won the tournament. Congratulations to all participants." Wu smiles calmly as he sips his tea.

"Participants? SHE DESTROYED US!" Jay exclaims as he rubs his head.

"You know if you used the energy you use for screaming for fighting, you might stand a small chance, Bluebell," I smirk as Jay is speechless Or maybe he's just worn out and catching his breath.

"I would s-say if you want to gg-go another round. But I can't f-feel anything below my hips." Cole chatters his teeth as Kai thaws him. I make a mental note to teach them elemental safety later.

"Your hips are frozen," Zane notes as he collects his shuriken.

Cole rolls his eyes. "Thanks, Zane, hadn't noticed. I swear if I get frost-bite..."

"Are we done, Uncle?" Lloyd rubs his right shoulder. I frown. I hope I didn't hurt him too bad.

"Yes. Unless, of course, you haven't learned your lesson." Wu states as he pours a cup for Kit.

"Oh cool! Willy, look, a street fair." Kit, instead of taking the tea, runs to port side and looks over the side. Wu sighs and drinks her tea for her. "Can we go Willy? I promise to behave." Kit turns and tugs on my sore arms.

"Hey, they're showing the new Fritz Donegan movie, and we've got a week to go before we might almost die again. I don't want to die without seeing that movie." Jay leans over where Kit was.

"Sounds like fun." Nya smiles as she goes up on deck to stop the ship. I gaze at the crowds of people below, then at Kit's face.

"Fine, but I'm having you hold on to your taser while we're down there." A ghostly smile sweeps my face as Kit explodes with happiness.

"Can we go too Sensei?" Kai asks as he sheaths his sword.

"I think we all could use a little break time. Just don't cause trouble." Wu gets up and spinjitzu his tea away.

"Us? Trouble? Phhf!" Cole starts to shake like a dog.

Me, Sensei and Kit all give them the same look.

"Ok, we're a little trouble," Lloyd admits as the five of them charge down stair to change.

"Let's get you ready." Kit pulls on my arm after them. Maybe it was a trick of the light but I swear, I thought I saw her baby blue eyes turn white just before she grabbed me. Kit forces me to sit in the girl's/Nya's room as she undid the low ponytail she did earlier.

"I don't see the need to change..I think.III." I bite my lips as Kit accidentally pulls out my hair instead of brushing it.

"Sorry." She squeaks and giggles. "Just hold still." Kit grabs some hair ties and went to work. Kit made some of my front hairs and stitch them so they made little braids the tied back behind my head. "There." Kit brushes her hands and hands me a mirror. "You like?" She bites her lip and tilts her chin down, her baby blues looking up at me through her blond eyelashes. My face softens.

"It's nice, KitKat. What's this one called?" I observe her handiwork, the braids met behind my head and went into a longer bigger braid while leaving some hair out around my ears.

"It's a date special." Kit giggles and closes the door to change. Date? Wait a second.

"I don't see how much of a 'date' it would be. Everyone is going." I shake my head as I set the mirror down.

"I still call it a date." Kit smirks and boops my nose. My nose scrunches up and I lean back.

"Whatever." I smile at her silliness as I grab a grey blouse and black jeans.

{Location:98th Street in Ninjago city.{Willow's POV})[Moments later]

"Come on. LET'S GO!" Kit cheers as she sat on the railing, waiting for a ride down.

"We're comin. Patience young Starfarer." Jay tosses a rope ladder over the side.

"Adventure is out there!" Lloyd comes out of nowhere and pinches my sides as he yells in my ears. I yelp and jump up as he did, spinning around and almost hooking him in the face. He caught my wrist before I could and offered me a grin. "Gotcha Rosie." His emerald eyes light up and he lets go of my fist.

"Paws off Greenie." I scowl at the team's snickers and my brown eyes narrow at them as the Ninja climb overboard.

"You two coming?" Kai wiggles his eyebrows as he ducks below my line of sight. "Or would you rather stay here and do naughty things?" I freeze, my enter body tightening. Kai...

Lloyd and I blush deep red as he snickers with his brothers. Kai, do you want to go another round..without your weapons? And in a dark ally?

"You guys suck sometimes." I sigh and walk to the rope, my cheeks still on fire. I'll get him back later, but not right now when he's hanging off the side of the Bounty. Even I have limits... or at least I do when we're supposed to be some type of team. Didn't they say not killing your teammates was important somewhere along the line?

"Come on, you know you like us." Cole high-fives Kai as I climb over the side. Do I know that?

"And grudgingly so." If at all. Some more than others. I tuck my embarrassment, focusing on climbing down the edge of the ship instead.

"So that is a yes." Jay counters as he finds a fire escape and climbs down that.

"And a no." Don't get your hopes up, lighting-rod. I roll my eyes as I step on the roof top. Some more jokes and teasing were made at my experience as we found our way to the movie theater.

"Hey, eight tickets for the Starfarer movie." Cole pulls out his wallet and starts counting his money.

"It's packed in there today. I only have six tickets left." The attendant sighs and starts ringing up our tickets.

"Is there another showing?" Zane asks as the Ninja start to pool their money.

"Nope. Last one." The attendant pulls out six red tickets.

"You sure you can't squeeze two more in?" I frown as something in my chest tightens, and my eyes flick from one group member to another. Was I starting to like being included- no. Impossible. I'm naturally a lone wolf, this is a temporary thing. I straighten my back and cross my arms.

"How about," Kit pulls my arm so I face Lloyd, "We watch the movie while you two 'patrol'."

I study his attire, jeans with sneakers on, a green t-shirt with the weekend wipe lyrics printed on it and a green hoodie. He looks normal enough- he shouldn't have fangirls running after him. I didn't want to go through that nightmare for more reasons than I cared to admit to myself.

"I like that idea. Great thinking kid." Kai catches on and turns Lloyd to me. I raise my eyebrow and my eyes narrow at Kit, then at Kai.

"We'll take the tickets," Nya smirks as she forks over the leftover money that is needed for the tickets.

"Wait, you're leaving us alone?" Lloyd questions as Jay picks up the tickets. Wait, I'm leaving Kit alone with them? I mean, Nya was respectable, but Jay could easily distract her and- calm down. Kit has her taser, she'll be fine. Hopefully. Maybe I should tell her that if they try anything, to go for Zane as he's susceptible to electricity.

"Yup. We'll find you after the movie." Cole opens the doors for Kit as she skips in. I watch her back as she leaves. If anything happens to her... the ninja won't even know what hit them. Kai will definitely be hurt the worst, though.

"Later." Kai walks past me. Hold that thought.... I glance at the brown square in the back pocket of his jeans.

This is for leaving me alone and that comment from earlier... I carefully snag Kai's wallet and put it next to mine.

"Come on guys," Lloyd whines as they left us. "So..um." Awkward greets the two of us as the attendant puts up red-and-white signs that read of 'out of tickets'. He shoves his hands in his pocket, and I look at the street and frown. Colorful streamers and people dressed up in costumes are everywhere; I think I even see a few kids dressed up as the ninja. Though who would ever want to dress up as Kai or Jay is beyond me.

"I have no idea what to do. I've actually never been to a street fair." I manage to pull out my white strand from Kit's hairdo as I gaze upon the shifting crowd.

Lloyd's mouth drops in false humor, "Then you haven't lived. Come with me." Lloyd grabs my right wrist and pulls me into the mildly crowded street, grinning back at me with that large white smile and those sparkling emerald eyes. His blond hair is all in his face, and I sigh a little.

All kinds of vendors offered either food, games or face painting, each more colorful and vibrant than the last. We walk past a ring toss booth when one of the prizes caught my eye.

A heart shaped locket with a green rose was hanging up high under the top prize section. Lloyd stops pulling and looks at where I am staring. "Do you like it?"

"It's pretty, I guess." I shrug- normally I don't like jewelry. The last piece I had held my father's dark powers inside and that didn't set the best of precedents.

"How much for the necklace?" Lloyd pulls out some greens of his own and asks the attendant.

"You got to play for it man. Get a ring on that red bottle in the back and it's your's." Zack, the attendant places green rings on the countertop and leans back to watch.

"You don't have to... It's probably a cheap piece anyway." I mutter as Lloyd slams a five dollar bill on the counter top.

"But it's a boyfriend thing to get his girl something special. And you look good in necklaces... besides, it's green- with a rose. Come on, even you have to think that's cute." Lloyd smirks and throws the first ring. He misses and the ring soars past and onto the prize table.

I shrug, playing it off. He shouldn't waste his money on this. "Nope. No Casanova, remember?" I let out a small smirk as Lloyd tried again, and a little small feeling inside my chest latches onto the larger annoyance emotion. He misses two more times then pays for another. And another. He is a determined little guy, I'll give him that, even if he is being stupid and cheesy at the moment.

A breeze puts goosebumps on my skin. Lloyd glances over and takes a small break to put his hoodie on me. It is warm from his body heat and smells like candy. I snort a little, trying to keep myself from chuckling. Of course it smells like candy, it's Lloyd's.

Lloyd returns to his game in fetal attempts to win me that necklace. I sigh and pull his hoodie over my head.

"Ya know you don't have to win me anything Greenie." I tilt my chin down to hide a small grin as Lloyd lands one ring a bottle to the right of his target.

"Ugh. Stupid game." Lloyd huffs. The sun sinks lower in the sky, and I frown.

"These game are rigged Greenie. And we're about to run out of money." I let a small smile stay on my face as my heart skips a beat. It may be stupid, both practically and financially, but he's got the cutest determined face: His eyebrows scrunch together, and his lips purse; it wouldn't be so admirable if it weren't for that playful glitter in the corner of his eyes, come to think of it.

"Nonsense, I'm the Ultimate spinjitzu master, I can beat a silly carnival game." Lloyd tosses a ring and miss yet again, this time too far to the left. He hangs his head. "Shoot."

I shake my head as I pulled out Kai's wallet, Might as well indulge the poor boy.

"I guess it's a good thing I swiped this off of Kai, then." I found a twenty inside and pay Zack.

I glance around the street and find no one watching us. I look away and let my hand fall over Lloyd's, and I send him strength. His next shot turns out to be a winner and Zack plucks the necklace of the rack and gives it to Lloyd.

"No fair Rosie. It doesn't count if you help me." Lloyd takes the necklace and leaves the remaining rings.

"What? No one saw me and I would like money to try funeral cake." I mentally kick myself- it's called funnel cake, you dolt.

"Funnel cake, Rosie, and that sounds great." Lloyd holds up the necklace, "May I?" He grins, his head tilting to the side.

I turn around and tug off the hoodie, then pull my loose hair out of the way. His warm hands raise the hairs on the back of my neck, and the necklace gently taps my collarbone. "Thanks, Greenie." My voice cracks- from lack of water, of course.

"No problem. Now, let's get that cake before Cole does." Lloyd smirks as his hand falls into mine, and he's once again leading me through the crowds. We found a funnel cake cart that took slightly burnt ones and fives. Kai really needs to handle his money better, or get a fire-proof wallet.

We even got ice cream to increase our coming sugar high.

"Come with me." Lloyd pulls me as I finish off my cone. His eyes gleam as he gazes at some tall box with curtains instead of doors. He pulls me inside and slides Kai's last dollar into a machine.

"What the heck is this thing?" I tap the chair, frowning and looking at the curtain.

"It's kinda like a camera, except you get more than one picture. Hold still." Lloyd slips his arm over my shoulders as a flash went off. He nudges me. "At least get into the spirit of it."

"Make me." I frown as the screen counts down from three. Jay takes enough pictures of me and Lloyd, we have a whole photo album. Why do we need more?

Lloyd smirks and kisses my cheek as the next flash goes off.

"Like that?" Cheeky.

Oh yeah? You think I can't play the same game, Greenie? I bite my lower lip, easily knowing how I can top him. "It's on Greenie."

I grab the inside of his shirt collar and the back of his head as the flash went off again. I let go as the countdown happened once more, waiting for him to try something. Lloyd now wore twenty shades of blush.

The curtains ruffle from people, and before either of us can protest-

"Found you!" Kai shouts as he, the Ninja, Nya, and Kit charge into the booth. I give the screen a closed lip grin, my eyes narrowed but my lips twitching upwards. The screen is now crowded with people, and the last flash goes off.

"Surprise, the ninjas managed to find our hiding spot." That's a first. I wonder how long it took them to find us, they're not exactly detectives and I'm willing to bet they stopped at a few cake booths.

I smirk as I retrieve the two photo strips that pop out.

"Ninjas can find anything if we put our minds to it." Yeah right. Cole smirks and grabs Lloyd's shoulders, shaking him.

I gaze at the photo. How had they all managed to change into their kimonos? Even Lloyd wore his in the group one... spinjitzu. It.. but I didn't feel him do it?

I frown and fight to keep the confusion from my face.

"Except my wallet. I thought I took it off the Bounty." Kai mutters.

I raise my head up, my brown eyes gleaming. I hold the missing wallet up and wag it in front of his face. "Mystery solved, then."

"My wallet." Kai grabs it and leafs through it, his eyes widening. For a moment, a small twinge of guilt slurs through me, but I push it away. He deserved it... right?

"Thanks for the ice cream by that way." Lloyd, still blushing like mad, but manages to talk again.

"You better pay me back." Kai huffs as we crawl out of the box.

"Is that just for the ice cream or are we including the thirteen ring toss games, funnel cake and the pictures?" I smirk as Kai sighs deeply and Lloyd takes his photo strip.

"Next time, I'm leaving my money at home." Jay holds Nya's hand and swings it.

"How was the movie?" Lloyd picks up a sleepy Kit. I think she was sugar crashing- candy canes hung out her mouth and stuck to her skin like ornaments on a Christmas tree. I frown. I knew I shouldn't have left her with them!

"Ok, was anyone else lost on the Samurai in space part?" Cole asks as the sun set and our feet walk us back to the Bounty.

"I told you. You've got to read the comics to get the joke." Jay and Cole began arguing as Nya and Zane filled us in on the movie.

"Sounds like we didn't miss much." Lloyd places Kit on his hip as he climbs up the fire escape.

"But apparently we did. What did you two do all afternoon?" Kai wiggles his eyebrows.

"Stuff." I shrug as we reach the rooftop.

"But what kind of 'stuff' do you speak of?" Zane smiles and pulls the fire escape up.

"Good stuff," Lloyd answers as we climb up the rope ladder.

(Author's POV)

{A few months ago}

I'm bored. And sick of this story.

Around my friends and family are screaming at a game on the t.v. while I quietly read to myself. I like the story but it was moving too fast for me. Towards the end, I didn't like it as much. And chose to look at the suggested stories.

Man, I don't want to watch Ninjago, I just want to read. But I want a good fanfic that's actually a little more original. Not, fall head over heels right away. I want something more realistic. I want the main character to be hesitant of her feelings. And I want the characters to stay in character but also for there to be good spelling.

Then I see it. A girl with a red hood and a red bow with the title, Unpredictable, written next to her. Little did I know, that it would only take one click for my imagination to run wild.
