Chapter 13.. Solicitous..

"What has happened to him ..!?.. Till yesterday he didn't acquire about the baby.. But now within one night he is very much pestering and showing this much care about the baby and Pragya too..".. Tanu's agitated thoughts were disturbed by her mobile ring..

She ends the call and look aside, where she saw Pragya walking downstairs along with her medical file..

She stands up immediately and walks towards her.. In meantime Abhi finishes his call and walks towards them saying.. Let's leave..

Haan Abhi.. I will get my purse.. Tanu says and walks ahead, but Abhi stops her and says.. Where are you coming..!?..

Where means.. To the hospital, of course..!.. She replies him.. But why..!?.. I'm there nah.. Says Abhi..

Come on Abhi.. What do you know..!?.. You don't know nothing about Pregnancy.. She sighs at him smiling after finishing her words..

Oh is it.. Then what about you..?.. You are pointing me as if you have experienced pregnancy.. Abhi sounds casual.. While Tanu's face turns sullen and Pragya felt odd..

She gestures him and Abhi says.. Actually, I was just trying to say that.. I will take good care of her hereafter.. You no need to stress Tanu.. He says..

Tanu was about to speak, but Pragya cuts off her and says.. Let her come ith us.. She should come.. She is the actual mother of this  baby..

Her words made Tanu to smirk at Abhi with a mock, and Abhi grins his teeth looking at Pragya..

After 5 minutes.. Tanu walks in front followed by Abhi and Pragya towards the car..

Abhi unlocks the car doors and Tanu opens the front seat to settle in.. But before she could step in, Abhi stops her and says.. Tanu, you sit behind.. Let Pragya sit in front.. She is Pregnant.. She should feel comfortable..

Tanu gets offended hearing to him.. She looks back at Pragya, who walks towards her.. She moves back and Pragya takes the front seat.. While Abhi settles next to her in the driving seat.. Tanu stands still looking at them, who were behaving like as she doesn't exist to them.. She them opens the back door and settles.. She closes the door with a strong bang, which jerked Abhi and Pragya.. He looks back and yells his tone at her saying.. What was that..!?.. Can't you be gentle..!?..

I'm sorry Abhi.. I was in a hurry.. She replies sternly.. What's there to be in hurry Tanu..!?.. He yells at her again.. But Pragya signs him to be calm.. He then drives away from the house towards the hospital..

On the way, Abhi was continuously checking on Pragya and he kept asking her about her comfort.. While Tanu was completely annoyed and pissed with their stances..

"Am I looking g goofy to him.. He  can't do like this.. What is he doing..!?.. How come suddenly he is so attached with her..!?.. He is talking to her as if, he knows her for years..!.. This is not gonna be good for me.. I should keep Pragya away from him.. ".. Tanu strikes her miffed thoughts and takes her mobile out from the purse.. She texts someone and puts the mobile back into the purse..

After 20 minutes..
In the hospital..

Abhi, Pragya and Tanu were waiting in front of the doctor's cabin.. while a nurse walks out and calls them inside.. Abhi takes the first step, but Tanu stops in saying.. Abhi, you stay here.. We two will get in and consult the doctor..

Why Tanu.. Why shouldn't I come in..?!.. Abhi asks.. What you will do coming in..!?.. It's Pragya who is pregnant and not you.. and above all, you don't know anything about this.. So stay here.. She sounded in a impolite tone..

Pragya was about to speak, but Abhi urges his voice saying.. That's fine Tanu.. If I don't know, I will get to know slowly.. Don't forget that, I'm the baby's father.. alright..!.. He completes in a crude tone and holds Pragya hand by walking, while Tanu stood fuming at them.. especially on seeing Abhi's grip on Pragya's hand.. Though, she remained quiet looking at the surrounding..

Inside Doctor's cabin..

The Doctor examines Pragya and Abhi gets excited to see the tiny dot, which is non other than his baby.. He holds Pragya hand and his eyes gets moist, which was noticed by Pragya as well as Tanu..

Mr. Mehra.. Can you hear the heart beat..!?.. The doctor asks and Abhi nods his head with a joshing smile..

After 5 minutes..

Pragya was sitting in front of the doctor, while Abhi took the seat next to her and Tanu stood controlling her anger..

So, Mrs. Mehra, how are you feeling..?!.. Asks the doctor looking at the Sonography report..

I'm fine doctor.. Tanu says with a wide smile, while the doctor says looking at Pragya.. I'm sorry.. I asked Mrs. Mehra..

Tanu shrinks her eyes and Pragya looks at Abhi, who gestures her.. While Tanu says.. She is Pragya Arora.. And I'm Mrs. Tanushree Abhishek Mehra..!.. She sounded stressing her words..

Abhi flips towards her and gives her a piqued look, and the doctor says.. I'm sorry.. I can't get you.. She is..  .. before she could speak further, Tanu urges her voice saying.. I think, you didn't look at the file properly or didn't Dr. Madhu didn't inform you about the case..?!..

The nods her head negatively and Tanu says.. Well, actually doctor.. She is.. I mean, Pragya is just a surrogate mother of our child..!..

The doctor opens the file and gives a keen look.. She then faces Pragya and apologies to her.. while Tanu sighs with a smile, which was noticed by Abhi..

So, Miss. Pragya.. The reports are normal and the baby's growth is healthy.. The doctor says while Abhi and Pragya smile at each other..

How do you feel..?.. Do you feel any sickness..?!.. Like general pregnancy sickness..!.. The doctor asks..

Pragya was about to speak, but Abhi speaks before her.. Yes doctor.. She is feeling very tired in morning.. I mean, she is getting unease because of her morning sickness... Is there any medication for that..?!.. Abhi asks, which shocked Tanu..

It's common in this time Mr. Mehra..  She can take fresh mint juice after her spewing.. That will surely help her.. The Doctor says and Abhi smiles looking at Pragya..

And make sure, that she rests well and eats healthy food.. Stick to the food chart which we recommended.. and don't forget to take walks whenever possible.. I will prescribe the medicines.. take it regularly.. She says, while Abhi nods to her..

After coming out of the doctor's cabin.. Abhi went to the pharmacy and collected the medicines.. While Tanu and Pragya waited for him in the waiting area..

After few minutes, they reached the parking lot, where drives the car away from the parking lot and stops infront of Pragya and Tanu..

Abhi.. I'm leaving in cab to my friend's house.. I will go to the anniversary party from there.. She says, while Abhi gave a slight nod at her and gestures Pragya to get in..

Abhi, I will drop Pragya at home.. You should go to office right..!.. Tanu says..

No Tanu.. Today I'm not going to office.. I will take Pragya home... Abhi says..

But Abhi.. You are.. .. Tanu pauses as Abhi cuts off her and says.. I said nah.. I will take good care of Pragya as well as the baby.. He stressed, as Tanu grins her teeth.. She then nods at him, while he drives away leaving her annoyed..

As soon as the car disappeared from her sight.. Tanu takes out her mobile and calls to someone..

With Abhi and Pragya..
On the way..

Pragya was going through the report that was given by the doctor.. While he was driving the car.

Did you hear what doctor said..?.. you should be very careful.. Here after I should take care of you well ... Abhi says strictly..

Come on Abhishek.. I'm fine.. Doctor is just talking as usually.. Pragya sighs saying so..

That's okay.. But I saw you today morning.. How much you suffered.. So I'm not gonna leave any chance to risk in our baby's health and especially you.. did you get that..!?.. Abhi says with a mocking look..

She said nah.. that's common in pregnancy.. Didn't you hear that.. !?.. Pragya says with a stern voice..

Stop it now.. I know how to take well care of you... You just have to obey my words.. Abhi says in rigid tone, while Pragya eyes sadly at him..

Just then.. She shouts looking out of the car loudly.. Abhishek stop the car..

Her loud scream made Abhi to give a sudden brake..  What..!?..  You are fine nah...!.. He panics holding her arm..

She rolled her eyes at him and says.. I'm fine Abhishek.. Look over there.. Cotton Candy.. I want it now.. She says with a kiddy smile..

He frets his look at her and says.. No.. I won't get that for you.. Doctor has strictly advised to follow the food chart she provided to you.. And I checked it today morning.. You are restricted to eat Street food or outside foods and now that cotton candy.. now chance.. Just forget about it.. even it's name.. Is that clear.. Let's leave..!..

No.. That's not fair.. I need it now.. My taste buds are melting just on seeing it.. I want it now itself.. She demanded with a pity face and Abhi kept his face stubborn and stern..

Pragya keeps on pestering him.. And Abhi says.. Doctor told nah.. you should eat only healthy food.. See there.. It's on the road side.. And this place is very polluted.. You might fall sick on eating that..!..

If you are not getting it for me.. I will go myself and get it now.. She warned him in a determined tone..

And after a lot of argument.. Abhi agress and parks the car safely to a side of the road.. He gets down and walks towards the cotton candy shop.. While Pragya sat back after her victory with a proud smile..

Back to Past..

In College..

The day was gloomy with dark shadowed clouds coating the sky along with the rain drops hitting the ground slowly..

Students were scattered over the corridors.. while some sat and were chit chatting inside the classrooms..

The thunder sound rumbled then there making everyone jerk abruptly along the cold shivering surrounding everyone..

She walked rushing her steps over the corridors with a tensed and tired face.. She stood in front of the sports room and peeped in, where she saw some boys enjoying their time with each other..

She then moved away further.. Her legs stepped over the stairs quickly.. She quickens her steps towards the 6th floor of the building and took a left turn.. Her legs stopped in front of a door, which was slided slightly.. She stood staring at the door for few seconds and then clutched the handle to open it.. She pushes the door in and stood stuck on seeing him..!..
