Chapter 10.. Appeasement

Pragya holds Nisha's hand and struggles to voice out.. though, she sounded frail and tensed.. Nisha, where is Bulbul..?!.. She is fine nah..?.. Where is she..?.. I want to see her now..

Nisha sits next to her and traes her forehead saying.. Please Pragya, don't stress yourself.. Bulbul is safe, but she is under treatment.. Doctor are doing their best to get her out of danger..

But where is she..? I want to see her now.. Pragya said relieving herself from Nisha's grip and tries to lift herself.. But Nisha protests her makes her lay over the bed forcibly..

Just then, Priya walks in saying.. Bulbul is safe and she out of danger.. But.. .. She pause while Nisha gesture her as what..

Bulbul has slipped into Coma.. She has got so many internal injuries.. The doctors saved her life.. But she has slipped into coma and we can only save her with a surgery.. She completes looking at Pragya..

Then what is the problem di..?!.. Let's do it immediately.. Pragya says and Priya gets close to saying.. That's possible Pragya.. But the surgery is too expensive.. And it can only be done by speaclist doctors.. You know how costly it will be to hire them for such surgeries..

How.. how much Priya di..?.. Pragya asks and Priya says.. Around 20 to 30 lakhs..!.. Pragya gasps hearing to her as well as Nisha..

But Pragya.. How did this accident happen..?.. Yesterday night I was feeling so uneasy thinking about you and Bulbul.. I was about to come to your home.. But di didn't let me to.. Because everyone are gathered at our house because of di's marriage.. And today early morning they all went to out of town for temple.. I and di said to them that we be back at them in separate car.. On the we decided to check on you both.. That's when we reached near your home.. We saw few people gathered at the street corner.. And we were shocked to see you both.. We brought you two to hospital and di's friend is working in this hospital.. She helped us to do your treatment without police case.. Nisha completed and Priya asks.. But what happened.. How did that accident happened to you both..?..

Pragya informs everything to the Agarwal sisters and informed how brutally they were tortured by Aman and Gauri.. And also she informed them about her Chachu who is now under her Chachi's custody..

I never knew that she will stoop this low, just for the sake of property.. I'm more shocked on learning that she killed our parents.. And now, she want to kill us.. I don't know how is Chachu..?.. Pragya says wiping her tears..

You don't have to worry about him Pragya.. A manly voice sounded.. And the girls looked forward towards the door.. Where a man walked in saying.. Yes Pragya.. Please Pragya.. Just stop it.. You are my friend and Bulbul is my sister too.. You don't know how much worried I was after knowing about her state.. It's good that today morning we both decided to visit your home.. I just hope, your Chachi and her brother to get punished for what they did with you two and your parents.. Nisha says..

Nisha.. I went to Abhishek and Sandy's house today morning.. But I got to know that, they shifted from their.. Do you know anything them..?!.. Pragya asks and Nisha was about to speak.. but stops looking at Priya, who walked in..

They helped her to step down and they reached the ICU.. Pragya was startled to see Bulbul who was lying over the bed with bandages wrapped around her head, hands and legs.. Her face was brutally injured and she was not less than a piece of lifeless body lying there calmly..

Pragya cried hugging Nisha.. While Priya consoled her and Pragya parts away saying.. Priya di.. Please take me to my Chachi.. I will plead her to help for Bulbul's operation and in return, I will transfer all the properties on her name..

Have you done mad Pragya..?!.. Kishore asks and Pragya sighs at him saying.. No Kishore bhai.. Nothing is important to me than my sister.. I will give my life to save her..

No Pragya.. She will not help you.. Rather she will find a way to kill you and do you want to die leaving your sister alone.. Kishore says and Pragya looks at him with tearful eyes.. While he continued.. Haan.. because, according to your Chachi and Aman.. Bulbul is dead.. They saw her condition and concluded that, she is dead.. And now, they are desperately in search of you.. Above all, they have blackmailed your Chacha to change the power of  attorney from his name to her name.. And they have informed him that Bulbul is dead and you are under their clutches.. I got to know about this, when I followed them from your home to the place where they kept your Chacha staked.. Though, he refused saying that, he will not do it and this property belongs to  you and Bulbul.. They got frustrated and blackmailed him to kill you.. And finally he agreed to save your life.. They moved out from their to make the papers ready.. I used the chance and called my men.. I got him free and managed to send him back to UK.. He insisted me to meet you and Bulbul after I informed him about both of your state.. But I denied because of your Chachi and that Aman.. And now, you want to go back again to her.. She will never help you Pragya.. She can stoop to any low level to get all your property.. she can even kill your Chacha.. Kishore's words shocked Pragya, Nisha and Priya..

Pragya.. Please listen to me.. I know that, Bulbul has to be treated.. I spoke to the doctor few minutes back.. And she said that, the surgery cannot be done now.. Because already Bulbul's condition is not fit.. And the surgery has to be done only when she is able to hold the intensity of it.. So, for now she is not ready for it.. Because already she has gone through so many physical assaults and above all this accident.. So, she has asked us to wait for few more days.. So that Bulbul's condition will get physically better.. and by the time we will try to arrange for money.. Priya says..

Pragya looks convinced, while Priya continues.. After 2 days is my wedding.. I and Nisha will not be able to look after you two anymore.. Because after my marriage, I'm moving to U.S.. and Nisha will be accompanying me for her higher studies.. But you don't worry.. Kishore bhai will take care of you.. I will make all arrangements and you will be safe with him.. And you two are not going to stay here anymore.. I have talked with my friend.. She said that she will help in shifting you and Bulbul to XYZ place.. And there you can stay with Kishore bhai in his house under his guidance..

Pragya refused to take her help, but Kishore convinced her saying that.. Please Pragya.. Don't deny.. I don't have any one as my family.. I lost my wife and son because of my professional aversion.. It's been more than 8 years, I'm living alone.. I will be so whelmed to get you two as my sisters and to look after you two.. I promise to protect you two from all hurdles.. Please..

Pragya nods her head immediately and Nisha says.. Pragya.. Please don't think that I'm leaving.. It's my situation.. But Kishore bhai will surely be at your side and you don't have to worry about anything.. Okay.. Pragya hugs her and looks at Bulbul..

At Present..

My life is completely collapsed Abhishek.. You don't know, how much I had gone through.. Bulbul is suffering more than me physically and mentally..

Bulbul is still under medical treatment.. We shifted to the place, as per Priys di's guidance.. After her marriage, she moved to abroad along with Nisha.. After that, I didn't see them nor speak with them till today.. Though, Kishore bhai has contact with them.. I heard from Kishore bhai that, Nisha has moved to her relatives home which is in some other country.. And her father has got to know about everything about us and how Nisha and Priya di helped us.. After all, he too is a father.. He didn't wished his daughters to help us anymore.. I don't know much about it.. Just heard from Kishore bhai about all this.. Kishore bhai was our protector.. He spent his earning for Bulbul's medical treatment.. I couldn't bear with that anymore.. I decided to go for a job and he arranged me a job in the hospital, where Bulbul's treatment was going in.. My salary was fully spent on her medicines alone.. And Kishore bhai is trying his best to help us till now.. Also my Chachi is still searching for me.. Kishore tracked about her and hit to know that, she has trapped my Chachu and he is back to India now.. Don't know how he is..!.. But I just hope he is safe.. Pragya says and wipes her tears..

But Pragya.. What about this surrogacy..?!.. How do you know Tanu.. and how did this happen..?!.. Abhi asks..

I saw Tanu in the hospital I was working.. I heard about her misery and her longingness for  a baby, when she was discussing with the doctor.. I decided to help her for the sake of Bulbul.. So, I will get financial help through her and Bulbul's surgery will be done quickly.. And I approached her.. She was overwhelmed with me and agreed to my financial demands.. But I didn't reveal about Bulbul to her.. She did all the paper works and took my signatures.. And I thought that, it is a artificial insemination process and there will be no discomfort to move ahead with the decision.. But I was shocked to hear from the doctor that, it cannot happen unless and until you agree.. And then Tanu consulted another doctor, who is her friend's mother.. She implanted her with the idea which Tanu did with us.. I didn't agree to this first.. But Tanu cornered me with the legal paper and I too was stubborn saying that, I agreed just for artificial insemination.. But my stubbornness didn't last longer.. Because Bulbul's condition was getting worse.. And I had no other option other than to agree to Tanu.. Though, I said to her that.. I want to meet you in personal and then will proceed with it.. But denied me giving reasons about you, that you would never agree to this and how badly she is longinging for a baby in her life.. It was my undeniable situation that made me to accept all her conditions.. It was on the day of your birthday.. I reached the place where Tanu asked me too.. Though, I was so hesitant to do it.. I was about to back off.. But then, she told me that she has already spiked your drink and she did the same with me to avoid my hesitancy.. But  I got to know that it was you.. I was shocked.. My world stumbled looking at your eyes.. I cursed myself when you touched me.. My friendship bond with you died at that very moment.. How will I explain you that.. I was and I'm the most sinful person on this whole world.. I'm your betrayed Abhishek.. I deceived you.. I cheated on our pure relation of friendship.. Pragya started to sob as her voice faded down slowly..

Abhi hugs her immediately and traced her back head saying.. No fuggi.. You are not.. I fact you are gonna give me the world's most precuous happiness.. My fuggi is the mother of my Child.. This is our baby.. I don't want to look back at everything what Tanu did.. All I got to know is, that my fuggi didn't cheat me.. but I was the one who made you to go through all this..

She parts away and wipes her tears.. She cups his cheek and says.. No Abhishek.. What was your fault in this..?!.. I took advantage of your situation.. I took everything for granted because of my needs.. I was that much selfish that I kept my hesitancy aside and slept with a married man.. and even after knowing that it was you.. I.. .. She pauses as Abhi closes her mouth with his palms and she started to cry again..

Abhi wiped off her cheek and and says.. No Pragya.. Don't say that again.. You didn't do any mistake.. Rather you have given my soul back.. My fuggi is back to me and I was the one to be blamed.. I shouldn't have left you alone on that day.. Atleast I should have informed you about my whereabouts.. But I was busy with Dadi's treatment and I was cornered with my financial crises to look after Dadi..

Pragya holds his hand and says.. No Abhishek.. Please don't.. .. before she could complete.. Abhi's mobile rang and he looks at the screen flashing as Tanu..

He steps down and attends the call.. But the call ended immediately.. He looks at Pragya.. whose face was tired and sucked.. He sits beside her and pulls her inside his hug saying.. Now no need to cry anymore.. Just close your eyes and sleep.. We will talk about all this tomorrow..

Pragya nods and Abhi arranges the pillow for her.. While she payed back and Abhi kept tracing her forehead and she held his other hand securely..

Back to Past..

Days passed soon.. Pragya, Abhi, Sandy and Nisha bonded well together.. They often met in between their classes and the lunch breaks.. Pragya used to get food for the boys and Nisha loaded their mouth with delicious sweets..

Abhi and Pragya's bond was beyond a pure friendship, where she started to share everything about Bulbul, and her family.. Even about Chandu Kaka.. Who is her piece of mind in that quarrel filled house of her..

A month passed.. It was one such evening.. Abhi was waiting for Pragya in the parking lot.. And Sandy was wandering here and there.. Abhi looks at his wrist watch and sighs saying.. It's 6. 10 already.. and she is still not here..

Just then, he saw her running towards him through the rear mirror.. he turns her with a glare and Pragya holds her ears.. She gets close to him still stood holding her ears and sounded in a low tone.. Sorry Abhishek.. Got little late.. I got confused on arranging the book in the shelves..

Ohoo meri Ma.. You are such a book worm.. Because of you, I'm still in college.. You know that he will be waiting for you nah..!.. Sandy sounded frustrated and Abhi sighs at him and says.. Okay fine.. Both of you stop it now.. We are already late.. Let's go soon..

Pragya nods and Abhi gestures her.. Pragya stood confused and Abhi says.. Get over the bike.. come on.. soon..

Pragya's eyes popped out hearing to him and Sandy says.. Ohoo Pragya.. Come on.. soon.. She stood flipping her eyes between Sandy and Abhi.. While they gestured her as what..!..

You mean.. on this bike.. with you two..?!.. She chuckles asking them.. and they sounded together.. Haan..!..

What.. No way.. I won't.. she denied folding her hands across and Abhi says.. Then what do you expect.. You want me to take you in flight..?!.. Pragya stares at him and Sandy says.. Pragya.. Please have some pity on me.. Already you are late and now you are wasting our time.. Arey.. I will lose the train.. Please nah..!.. He pleaded..

But how will I sit on this..?!.. I mean, I have never traveled on a bike and I'm scared coming with you two.. What if someone sees me..?!.. She asks in a worried tone..

Come on Pragya.. You said that, your Chachi is out of town.. Then what is your problem..?!.. Abhi asks and Pragya says.. Haan.. But, I'm not used to.. .. before she could complete.. Sandy grabs her hand and makes her stand close to him.. While Abhi pulls her dupatta and rounds it over her head.. While Sandy takes her bag and Abhi asks her to sit behind him.. While she stood blinking her eyes.. He insisted her again and she holds his shoulder for supports and sits behind him.. He pulls her hand and places them over uis shoulder.. While Sandy settled behind Pragya, which shocked her.. She was sitting conjusted in between the boys.. While Abhi started the bike and drives out of the college gate..

Though their bike ride started with a scare for Pragya.. She literally enjoyed the new experience and she started to love it.. Especially with her two friends who are now more than friends to her.. She looks at Sandy, through the rear mirror, who was holding her shoulders and he was wandering his eyes here and there.. While Abhi was driving the bike.. She smiled striking at their new bondings and their enormous care on her..

20 minutes passed.. Abhi And Pragya stood near the bike and waved their hands to Sandy, who waved his hand to them and rushes into the railway station..

After he disappeared from their sight.. Abhi looks at the time and widens his eyes saying.. Oh no.. It's 6.45 already.. And the party will start in 15 minutes.. Let's leave soon.. He says and Pragya nods to him..

Abhi drives away from the railway station and Pragya was sitting behind him.. Abhi.. Where is he going actually..?!.. Pragya asks..

Who.. Sandy..?.. Abhi asks and Pragya nods her head.. Going to London.. Abhi says which shocked Pragya.. What.. to London.. On train..?!.. She befuddled her tone.. While Abhi laughs and says.. Duffer.. You are such a fuggi.. Just like that, your face is blown out.. He teases her and Pragya mout her lips at him..

Okay fuggi.. Don't burst out now.. Abhi says and giggles at her, while Pragya hits him over his shoulder and says.. Abhishek, don't you dare to call me with that name again.. She frowns at him angrily and Abhi says.. Okay fuggi.. Will not call you like that..

Pragya mout her lips again, while Abhi looks at her through the rear mirror and laughs at her..

Okay fine.. Just give me a smile and I will tell you about Sandy.. Abhi says.. While Pragya says.. Fine.. But promise me that you won't call me with that name again..

No.. First you give me what I asked for.. Abhi says and Pragya smiles looking at the mirror.. That's like my fuggi.. Abhi teases her again and Pragya twists his ears, while he pleaded her to let it go.. She does so and Abhi says.. You don't know who he is..!.. Sandy is a millioner.. His father is a great successful business man.. He lives in London and his family stays there.. His mother and dadi are in Delhi for his grandfather's treatment.. Sandy is snot like others.. She doesn't likes to show off his status to the outside world.. When I first got to know about him, I was shocked.. When I asked him about his studies in our college.. He said that, it is his father's decision.. And he wanted him get up on his own stand.. He is such a talented and down to earth person.. And I'm so lucky to get his friendship.. You know, he more than a friend.. a soulmate to me.. And now, he is going to Delhi to take his mother, Dada and dadi to London.. His father has sent him the flight tickets, though he was too adamant to go in train to Delhi.. From their he will board flight to London along with them.. Abhi completes with a soft smile.. While she heard everything silently..

She jerks as Abhi stops the bike we uth a sudden brake.. and she leans over his back by hugging him to steady herself as well as him..!..
