Chapter XII

Dregor groaned and opened his eyes. He glanced around the room and noticed that they had trapped him in a cell. He frowned and searched for some sort of way to help him get out, but to no avail. There were barely any options. It was like they rigged the place to make sure no one got out of the cells.

"Comfy?" a voice said, causing him to look over at the desk where a woman sat. "I can't believe we caught you."

"And who might you be, werewolf?" Dregor growled.

"Who am I? Well, my name is Bela sweetie and let's just say I've been hired by Thomas to get answers from you about the vampires and where your nest is located."

"And why would a wolf like you care?" Dregor asked.

"Oh trust me, I care. I know you know more about the prophecy than anyone else, so why don't you tell me when and where this prophecy is going to occur?" Dregor laughed. No way was he going to tell some blonde bitch about where the final battle was going to take place. He rolled his eyes and took a seat, crossing his arms and his legs.

"Sorry, but it'll take more than intimidation to get information out of me." he said.

"We'll see about that." Bela said, pulling out a blade and dipping it into the deadman's blood. Dregor tried to remain calm, but seeing the blood made him want to throw up.

Sam made it back to camp almost instantly and walked through the campsite until he got to Thomas's cabin. Taking a deep breath, he approached the cabin and knocked on the door. Waiting patiently, Sam glanced around him at the different sounds and sights of animals and plants. It completely covered them in snow, which gave it the look of sheer beauty. A few moments of admiring everything, and Sam pulled himself from his thoughts. If he and his brother were going to go through and stop Vlad, and uniting the vampires and werewolves, the first thing they needed to figure out was where the disagreements occurred. He walked through the camp until he spotted Castiel, who was in the middle of taking care of the pups. Sam sped up on his feet and appeared before Cass, who was caught off guard by Sam's sudden appearance.

"I see you're getting the hang of your wolf speed." Castiel said.

"Cass, I need your help." Sam said.

"What can I do for you?" Cass asked.

"I know this prophecy is supposed to happen, but I wanted to know where the first disagreement happened." At first, Castiel seemed to hesitate like it was part of history that he didn't want to talk about. However, things changed when he sighed and urged Sam to follow him. Sam nodded and walked with Castiel back to his own cabin.

"First you need to know about the history behind it," Castiel explained. "Between 900 and 1100AD, there was a place called the Cahokia Mounds," he continued. "Now this place used to be a huge trading area for many of our ancestors, and the vampires. We were once united, trading with each other. The vampires alone were only feeding on animal blood." he continued. "But things changed as soon as a group of native human beings started striking us down one by one and we fought against them, they were hunters after all, have been hunting us for centuries, by the time the fight against the humans and supernatural ended, all of us lost a lot of lives on both sides, majority of the deaths were young children."

"So ever since then, you were enemies?" Sam asked matter-of-factly.

"Until they foretold a prophecy that in the same place that lots of innocent blood was spilled would be the same place where two humans turned into a vampire or werewolf will help unite everyone together and defeat the one who started the war." Sam took all this in and remembered a place in Illinois that he and his brother had gone to when they were younger. It couldn't have been the same place, but judging from the way Castiel was telling the story, he believed everything. Castiel pulled a map from his desk and spread it out, revealing a large landscape and places on the map that are marked. Sam looked through it and saw that the final battle was going to happen soon and if he and his brother did nothing, then the vampires and wolves were going to fight each other until they went instinct.

"I need to find Dean." Sam said and hurriedly ran out of Castiel's cabin.

Vlad's thoughts consumed him. He knew all about the final battle; they needed to make plans to attack the wolves on the Cahokia Mounds, where their people fought against the humans and resulted in a massive loss on either side. All these kept running through his brain and he couldn't think about anything else. Dean Winchester wasn't any help either. He wanted to kill most of the vampires in the nest and because of that; he had to lock Dean away. Once the battle happened, they were going to make sure no one survived. The vampires will once again rule the land and the world to a point where they won't have to worry about their enemies trying to make peace with them. The humans had once been like that until they attacked his family years ago. Now he was back and stronger than ever, ready to take on anything that humanity has in store, but the first thing he needed to do was deal with Dean and make sure that he did exactly like he said. Unlike most vampires, Vlad was older than most and had different abilities than the other vampires.

"Sir?" a voice said, snapping him from his thoughts. Vlad turned to find Abgor standing in the doorway. "You have that strange look in your eyes. Are you planning to do something to that new vampire we've got?"

"Oh trust me," Vlad said. "I have certain plans for him. If he won't do like we said without argument, then I think we should make him."

"You don't mean.." Abgor stated and narrowed his eyes. "Sir, you can only keep that up for so long. You have told us more than once that using mind control can weaken you."

"I know I told you that, but listen to me," he said. "If we have to make him do this, then we will control him. No way am I going to let his love for his brother impede our take over," he continued. "Now begone with you, once I finish doing what I need to do, then I'll make sure that our plan is solid, send in some of our best vampires to free Dregor, I'll handle Dean." without arguing Abgor bowed and left Vlad's quarters.
