Chapter VIII
Castiel greeted Sam by shaking his hand. It was normal for him to do this to all the new recruits, even the pups, seeing the person who would help unite the two groups together. Of course, he wasn't expecting Sam to be the one he looked young, but then again, in wolf years, Sam was older. Even though the prophecy foretold both brothers were supposed to help, he couldn't imagine how much shock Sam was going through, especially since his brother was with the vampires, and he wondered how bad it must have gotten. Vlad was amongst the toughest vampires in his brood, and it didn't surprise him if he used a completely different approach compared to what Thomas had used.
"What are we going to talk about?" Sam asked as more questions surfaced. "Why have I been brought here? Better question, why was I turned?" Castiel held his hand up. For a recruit, he was pretty chatty.
"They turned you for a very important reason." Castiel responded.
"And what reason would that be?" Sam asked.
"The prophecy." Castiel said simply and ushered for Sam to follow him. "For years, there's been a prophecy telling the story of two brothers who would one day unite vampires and werewolves together as one, but through that, they'd have to face different challenges." They stopped at a cabin where smoke was coming from. "This is where we all sit together and eat." Castiel brought Sam inside, showing him around. The minute they stepped inside, there were wolves talking and laughing. Some of them were enjoying themselves but others sat together, even some wolves had food in front of them aside from a group of wolves who were sitting alone.
"Nice place, but why are some of you guys not eating while the others are?" Sam asked.
"The table you're looking at, they're deltas and omegas," Castiel explained. "They eat last mostly." Sam seemed to show a bit of sadness in his eyes, but Castiel didn't really want to touch it considering he understood what Sam was thinking about. He used to be a delta himself, but he rose through the ranks and eventually became a beta, which was something that he had been working hard for the past year and a half. Castiel and Sam walked over to the dinner line as the wolves behind the counter placed food on their plates before handing them something to drink. "I know you've got a lot of questions, and I will try to explain as best I can, but right now, I think we should eat. You must be hungry after your adventure today."

They escorted Dean to his own room, not that he cared. All he wanted to do was get out and find his brother, but turns out, the vampires had something else in mind for him. Dean struggled to figure out what he could do about everything that had happened recently. Most of it played around in his mind what he had done. He never wanted to kill an innocent girl. He hated himself, hated that he turned into an actual monster, something that even his parents completely despised. He wished his parents were there with him, but they passed away not more than a whole year ago. It was always him and his brother, now it's only him.
He was deep in his own thoughts when his door opened, causing him to snap out of his thoughts and glance at the door. Lisa stood at the door. Dean couldn't help but think about what happened to her over the years since the last time he saw her. Now, however, things were different. She was a vampire herself.
"What do you want, Lisa?" Dean asked, turning away from her.
"Dean," she sighed. "What's so hard to accept what happened?"
"I'm a monster Lisa. I shouldn't even be alive at this point." Dean responded.
"I know you aren't happy about this, but you understand Vlad had a good reason to do it."
"And what would that reason be?" Dean asked. "Because he turned me into this creature, and now I'm a vampire."
"Is it really so bad?" Lisa asked, taking a seat next to him. "You get to live forever now, and we get to be together." Lisa moved closer to Dean, but he got up and pushed her away. "Dean, come on."
"No, you don't get it Lisa," Dean argued. "I had a life. Now I don't know if I'm going to get that back! My brother is back at the cabin. I just want to be there with him. We've only ever had each other."
"I think it's time that you grew up," Lisa said and leaned closer to him. "We're a family now, which means we can lean on each other for comfort especially when we stop this prophecy from happening." Dean paused and glanced at her, he hadn't heard about a prophecy before, he wondered if his brother was the same way.
"Prophecy? What prophecy?"
"Oh, right, he hasn't told you about that yet."
"What prophecy?!" Dean exclaimed, now more than ever determined to figure out what Vlad wanted and if a prophecy was involved, then he needed to figure that out.

Sam had heard many crazy things, but a prophecy about bringing two groups together under one unit was even more crazy than he ever thought before. So many things were going through his head and most of it involved learning more about the prophecy and what else it could bring.
"So let me get this straight," Sam said. "There is a prophecy about me and my brother," he started, "and we have to bring two clans together?"
"Yes." Castiel said, digging into the meat. Sam watched, a little disgusted at the way Cass was eating. He glanced at his plate, wondering what the mystery meat was and if he should be worried. Castiel chuckled and looked over at the new beta. "It's chicken. Don't worry, they took care of anything that could make you sick, although it's not the same as eating it raw."
"I'll eat it slowly, thank you," Sam responded. "Is there anything else I should know about this prophecy? You know besides Dean and I bringing both groups together?"
"A few, but I'll explain more later, besides I haven't shown you around the camp, nor have I shown you the cabin you're staying in. Now eat, you're gonna need your strength." At first, Sam really didn't want to eat. He didn't feel like eating. In fact, he wanted to throw up. However, the look of reassurance on Cass made Sam give in to the meat and start eating.
