The Marine Park and Threatening Messages
Alison's P.O.V
"Yay, you're back." I hugged Isabella as she welcomed me into my office. Well, it wasn't really an office, just a room with a desk and some laboratory things like microscopes. I got into my uniform which was a blue t-shirt and white pants. The weather was a few degrees below freezing point which I considered to be pleasant in the month of January.
I grabbed a bucket of fish and a cloth and followed Isabella as she went towards the water. I could see three dolphins swimming. I've always loved dolphins. Many people have told me that dolphins and I have a connection. As if we can communicate via brain waves.
"All of have to do is sit on the edge and wave some fish over the water. The dolphins will come to you." Isabella explained. I nodded even though I had already known that. I mean, I've volunteered here for almost two years. I basically knew the whole park at the back of my hand.
"Okay, you try." She moved back, letting me sit down. I dipped my feet into the water. Wearing gloves, I took a fish out of the bucket. Much to my dismay, it was alive and wiggling, trying to get out of my grasp. I thought I had the hang of it but I was wrong. The fish slipped out of my hand and fell into the water, swimming free and in the wild. I turned out to see Isabella giggling.
"I'll try again," I said, taking another fish out of the bucket. The fish wiggled a bit but I held it tightly. I remembered an old trick I had learned from my old instructor. I started making clicking and whistling sounds. This is how the dolphins communicate with each other; by making clicking and whistling sounds. As soon as I started whistling, a dolphin jumped out of the water, splashing it all of me. The dolphin came towards me, asking for the fish. I threw the fish towards its direction as the dolphin swooped up and caught it, gulping the fish in one bite. I saw a blue tag on the dolphin as a huge smile plastered on my face.
"Rocky!" I screamed, yelling out its name. Apparently, dolphins are one of the smartest creatures. As soon as the dolphin heard its name, it swam towards me and popped its head out of the water. I gently rubbed its back.
"How did you know his name was Rocky?" Isabella asked, kneeling down next to me. I smiled, still rubbed and scratching the dolphin's fin. "I used to volunteer here. This dolphin was brought in from the Indian Ocean where it was trapped in a shark's net. The poor dolphin was so vulnerable and weak when it first came here. My instructor and I fed it and took care of it, day and night. He became healthier and healthier. I named him Rocky and we were best friends."
Isabella smiled. "Wow, that's so cute. I guess Rocky recognizes you too." I looked over to rocky who was giving me a ten-watt smile. Have I mentioned that dolphins are the cutest creatures ever?
"Why did you leave?" Isabella asked. I froze. She probably didn't know about Eric.
"When my brother died, I went to live with my aunt in San Francisco. Now, I'm back."
"I'm so sorry to hear that." I shrugged.
"It's fine." It's not like he was actually dead. Isabella smiled.
"I'm going to go feed the other dolphins while you and Rocky catch up." Isabella said, getting up and taking the bucket with her. I laughed, sitting down as I rubbed Rocky's back.

"Food glorious food." I groaned.
"Callie would you please stop." I pleaded. My head was hurting and Callie's annoying voice wasn't helping.
"FOOOOODDD!" She screamed as I covered my ears. Peter and Kevin from the table next to us glared at Callie.
"Can you shut up and let others eat in peace?" I nodded, agreeing with The Stevensons. Peter and Kevin Stevenson were one of the three twin pairs in this school. The other two were Eric and I and Miley and Kylie. Though Eric and I were twins of the opposite gender, Peter and Kevin were the exact copy of one another. No one, not even their own parents, were able to differentiate between them.
"Thank you Kevin." I said, glad that Callie shut up.
"I'm Peter." I groaned again as they laughed. Callie was eating a sandwich. Well...the correct word would be gobbling. The poor girl skipped dinner and breakfast and was now devouring a tuna sandwich, which she hated but she didn't have a choice.
Ignoring the annoying chewing sound that came from Callie's mouth, I turned to Iris. "How's the throat?" I asked.
I was sitting in the cafeteria with Callie, Kennedy, Tris, Hayley and Iris. My girls and Hayley connected in a day. Now they were chatting like best friends. Miley and Kylie were both sick. These two even fell sick at the same time. Nina was at Music classes.
"It's still...sore." She said, coughing. Hayley patted her back. A few girls passed by us, talking about Mr Doug. Apparently, he was the talk of the town which wasn't surprising because it's not normal for high school teachers to turn out to be serial killers. But, I knew the truth. Though I wasn't exactly sure but I knew that Mr Doug was telling the truth.
"I just can't believe it. I mean, I always knew that Mr Doug was messed up but murdering his student in cold blood, that's just beyond the definition of crackheads." Hayley said.
"No, but why would Mr Doug kill her, I mean it's not like he would have had a motive." I really wanted the girls to believe me. Everyone believed that Mr Doug was the real killer and the person who stalker my brother but I know that they are wrong.
"Some people are just crazy. They don't need a motive to hurt someone. Besides, we all know how Jennith was. She was the queen bee and she ruled the whole school, including the teachers. Oh, and she also had a bad habit of eavesdropping and stalking people. Maybe she knew something about Mr Doug that she threatened to spill. Maybe that's why he killed her, to protect her secret. After all, you know that saying, 'Because two can keep a secret if one of them is dead.'" Kennedy said, quoting Pretty Little Liars.
I carefully listened to Kennedy. I knew what she meant. She meant to say that the reason why Jennith was dead was because she knew our stalker's identity.
"Whatever." I shrugged it off. Lunch was almost over so I got my things and said goodbye.
"I'll see you in History." Hayley waved me goodbye and went the other way, towards my locker. I turned towards the hallway that leads to my locker. My locker was beside the girls' bathroom. As soon as I turned around the corner, I saw someone pass by my locker and into the girls' bathroom.
I held my lunch box tightly as I entered the combination, opening the locker. An envelope fell out. I set my things neatly into the locker and picked up the envelope. It read, "Al".
I smiled, thinking it was a letter from Eric. There were still a few minutes left until the class started so I stood there and opened the envelope. There was a letter and an electronic tablet. Confused, I took the letter out first and read it.
'I know you missed me. You should be honoured by what I'm about to tell you. You five are very special to me and are part of my secret mission. Now, there is something you need to do. First I will tell you the consequences of not obeying me. Inside the envelope, there is an electronic tablet. Turn it on and watch the video. This video will be synced to my laptop (or might I say, your laptop that is now under my possession) in 48 hours if my order is not obeyed and I will leak it. I'm sure you will obey me after you see that video. I need you to get me ten thousand dollars within 48 hours. As soon as you get your hands on that money, text me using that tablet. My contact information is given on the tablet. I will tell you where to send the money. Once you are done, destroy the tablet so that the video doesn't get synced. Good Luck!'
I shuddered, looking around to see if anyone was sneaking on me. Now it had been confirmed that our stalker was still out there and Mr Doug was wrongfully convicted for a crime he didn't commit. The bell rung, breaking me from my thoughts so I locked my locker and took the tablet with me to the bathroom. I couldn't go to class. Not after what I just read. I needed to see that video. I opened the door to one of the cubicles and went in. My hands shook as I turned the laptop on. Every second that the tablet took to turn on got me shuddering. I could feel my body grow cold all over. The laptop turned on and scanned my face. "Alison Fitzgerald." A voice said as the tablet unlocked.
A video popped up on the screen, ready to be played. I took a breath before playing the video. It was a video of a boy coming out of the Greenwood Police Station with a shovel and hammer. The boy's hands were red, possibly red with blood. The boy turned around, towards the camera. A scream escaped my lips as I saw who the boy was. Walter. Walter Flemming. My Best Friend.
