The Autobots

*I don't own Transformers or anything affiliated with Transformers. I only own my original characters and plots. All rights go to Michael Bay and Steven Spielberg.*

The ride to the base from my school took about half an hour. We drove in silence most of the way. The only time my dad or I talked was when he asked me about my school day to which he received my usual answer. I could tell that he was stressing over this entire thing, though I didn't quite understand why. Technically I should be the one freaking out. It was my first time meeting the Autobots.

My dad soon pulled up to a gate surrounded by multiple men in black suit. He didn't even need to say anything for the guards to let him through. The gates opened up and my dad drove through, the very familiar white building coming into view.

I had only ever been to the base about three times but I was much younger than I was now. t still looked the same as I had remembered it only there was one new feature. It seemed to me that they had attached a section of building to it. I assumed it was for the Autobots and was proved right when my dad drove over to the section of the building and parked.

Men ambled in and out of the building. Military cars and trucks were parked around the building. I got out of the car and walked around to the driver's side. My dad hopped from the driver's seat and stood beside me, a smile on his face.

"Okay. You've never been in this part of the building before so I'd advise you to stay close. There are a lot of soldiers bustling around today and I don't need you to get hurt again," he told me.

I nodded and followed him into the building, my eyes widening.

The building was absolutely huge. Machinery was everywhere. Planes and helicopters sat in rows on the ground while some even hung on the ceilings. There were large walkways protruding out from the different floors. The last thing I noticed about the building were the ten different cars and bikes that were parked in a row. They definitely weren't military vehicles and I knew this for sure when I noticed my dad's truck, the blue and red semi, and Ratchet's hummer all sitting by each other. These were the Autobots.

I was so focused on the vehicles that I almost ran into a piece of machinery. My dad grabbed my arm and pulled me close to him before I could injure myself though. He laughed.

"Be careful," he told me.

I just nodded and continued looking around. This placed amazed me in more ways than I thought possible. As I was examining one of the jets, I heard a very familiar voice.

"And there she is," the voice exclaimed rather loudly.

My dad laughed and I shot my head towards the direction it had come from. My eyes widened and I smiled as I saw my Uncle Epps walking towards me. Excitement overtook my body, and even with my weak knee, I ran to him, engulfing him in a giant hug. He laughed and released me.

"It's so nice to see you, Lea," he told me.

I frowned. "Why haven't you come by? I haven't seen you in months."

"I've had so much to do down here at the base. I would've dropped by had I been able to," he answered me.

"I've had quite a boring time without you, Uncle Epps," I joked.

He laughed. "I highly doubt that. You had your dad and Ron to keep you company."

"You can only take so much of them," I stated.

I heard a grunt from somewhere in the room but ignored it.

"Oh. Believe me. I know exactly how you feel," Epps laughed.

My dad came up behind me. "Okay, enough with the Ron and Will hate. We need to get started. But first, follow me," my dad instructed.

Him and Epps began walking down the length of the building. We soon came to a door and my dad opened it.

"Where is Ron anyway? Actually where is anyone for that matter?" I asked.

My dad sighed and opened up the door to another room. I hadn't a clue as to where we were going.

"That's exactly what I'm about to tell you," he said as he opened one final door. He lead me into a large office.

"Why are we in here?" I asked.

"I don't want the Autobots to transform in front of you and plus I have to explain something to you," he told me.

I sat down in one of the chairs and looked at him and Epps. "Explain what?"

He knelt down in front of me. "I want you to keep an open mind, okay? Like I said this morning, there are some things that you're not going to understand and some things that I know you aren't going to like. I'll let the Autobots explain to you what they need to, but when it all goes down, I need you not to freak out," he told me.

I groaned. "How many times have I told you that I'm going to be fine? I'm ready, dad."

It was Epps's turn to speak now. "That's what you think now, Lea. Just wait," he told me.

I scrunched my eyebrows up. What is so bad that they're stressing over?

My dad put a finger up to his ear and stood up. He gave Epps a look before looking back at me.

"They're ready for you, Lea."

I stood up and followed the two men back out into the hangar. I stopped almost instantly at the many robots standing around me. My hands started shaking and I put them behind my back, hoping to hide it from them. I was a lot more nervous than I thought.

A small bot, not more than five feet taller than me noticed my timid expression and laughed. The bot was pink with a slender body. I was almost certain that this one was a female. Beside her stood a purple bot and an indigo colored bot, both of them with similar features. All three of them had wheels where there feet would be and they all had a soft expression on their faces. .all but the indigo one who stared at me with a certain fury in her optics. I shifted backwards some at her expression only for the pink one to roll forward.

"Come on. We won't hurt you," she told me, gesturing me toward the many bots.

"Speak for yourself," the indigo one spoke, a bitter tone in her voice.

A few of the Autobots glared at her and the pink one who was in front of me shot her a look.

"Hush, Chromia."

It had only been three minutes yet I was already disliked by one of them. The pink bot turned back to face me.

"Please don't mind her. She's a bit cranky today. But allow me to introduce you to everyone. My name is Elita One, but you are free to call me Elita. These here are my sisters, Arcee and Chromia," she told me.

I tried my best to smile only I was becoming more nervous. I felt a hand on my shoulder and jumped, but soon realized it was only Epps.

"I can see your hands trembling behind your back. You know they can sense that right?" he baited.

I rolled my eyes at him and he laughed. I turned back to Elita One and she rolled through the cluster of robots.

"This is Sideswipe and this is Jolt." She gestured to a silver bot and a blue and silver one. The two greeted me and I smiled. She led me down the line to the last five Autobots and my dad ran over to me.

"Now, please don't freak out," he whispered to me.

I frowned. "Why would I?"

He just backed away. I turned to face the five Autobots. My neck was beginning to become sore from look up. The blue and red Autobot stepped forward as did the green one.

"Azalea, it's a pleasure to see you again," the blue one spoke.

"I trust you're doing well?" the green one followed.

My eyes widened at the sound of their voices. Before I had the chance to say anything another two Autobots stepped forward, one green and one red. I assumed they were those two small Chevy's that were parked in my driveway the day the twins made an appearance. Strangely enough they reminded me of them.

"What's happenin' little lady?" the red one asked.

"You been stayin' out of trouble?" the green one pressed afterwards.

I nearly choked on my breath. What the hell was going on?

Elita One pushed me towards the last one and I stumbled on my feet but quickly gathered myself before looking at the bot. A smile came on my face when I realized that this was Ironhide. He hesitated for a quick moment before speaking.

"Hey, Lea."

My smile dropped. He sounded exactly like Ron. I quickly turned around to face my dad. I had no clue what to do or what to say to them. This was just too weird.

"What's going on?" I inquired.

He placed his hands on my shoulders. "I told you not to freak out."

I groaned. "I'm trying not to. All I want to know is why those five sound like Optimus, Ratchet, the twins, and Ron," I said.

He sighed. "Because that is Optimus, Ratchet, the twins, and Ron."

My eyes widened. "I'm sorry, what? That's not possible," I exclaimed.

I jumped at the sound of Ratchet's voice. "It's quite possible," he said.

I turned around to face the twenty foot tall robot. I gulped and took a step back. "I don't understand."

"There's a lot of things you won't so I'll just tell you simplicity of it all. We use holoforms," he told me.

"Holoforms?"

He nodded and Optimus, I assumed, stepped forward. "A holoform simply allows us to communicate with humans in a way that doesn't mean to frighten them. It's merely a human version of ourselves only it is not completely organic," he told me.

I nodded, trying to understand his words. Soon I was met with realization and my eyes widened. Ron. .Ron wasn't really human. Ron was Ironhide and Ironhide was an Autobot; a twenty foot tall alien Autobot. The Ron that I knew was simply a nonorganic scaled version of his actual self.

"Oh my fuck," I exclaimed.

I heard a few sighs and I shot Ironhide a very quick glance before scratching my head and looking down at the ground.

I was in love with an alien robot. .

So many emotions were running through my mind right now. I was feeling very awkward, very weird, very angry, very sad, and not mention incredibly hurt by this new revelation; more hurt than I had ever been in my entire life. I turned to face my dad. He was staring at me with a sympathetic look.

"Um, I really think I need to go home," I told him.

He nodded in understanding. He whispered something in Epps's ear before running off. I could feel the tears coming but I held them back. I refused to cry in front of any of them. All of a sudden, Epps grabbed my arm and began pulling me towards the building exit. I heard an angry grunt behind me. There was no doubt in my mind that it was Ron or Ironhide or what the fuck ever. That was his own fault though.

Epps led me to the same black Suburban that my dad had brought me here with. He released my arm and I walked over to the passenger's side. I got in the car and Epps pulled out. Almost instantly we were headed home.

"What's wrong, Lea?" he asked me.

"I've been lied to. I don't really know how to feel about this entire situation," I answered him.

He sighed. "It was only for your protection. Please believe that," he told me.

I closed my eyes, trying to hold back the tears that threatened to fall. The rest of the ride was silent. Epps pulled into my driveway and stopped. I thanked him for the ride home and hopped out of the car. I hurried to the front door and opened it. My mom was sitting on the couch with Annabelle in her arms. She smiled when she saw me and I did my best to return it.

"Hey, honey. Where's your dad?" she asked.

"Back at the base," I told her.

She gave me a confused look. "How'd you get home then?"

"Epps gave me a ride home. Do you mind if I go out with Braelynn?" I asked.

She smiled at me. "Of course not. Just be home at a decent hour, okay?"

I nodded and ran up to my room. I slammed the door, the tears finally making their way down my face. I grabbed my phone from my bag and dialed Braelynn's number. She answered on the fourth ring.

"Hello?"

I sniffed and tried to compose myself as best as I could before speaking. "Hey, Brae. I was just calling to see if you could come get me. I really need to talk to you," I said.

"Are you crying?" she asked, worry in her tone.

"Yes, but I'll talk to you about it later. Please just come get me," I said.

"I'll be there in fifteen minutes," she told me.

The line disconnected. I threw my phone down onto my bed and grasped my head with my hands. I started pacing back and forth. Out of all people, why me? Why does everything have to happen to me?

I was getting angrier with each step I took. Right now I just wanted to pull my hair out. I had thought this day would be good for me but instead it was the absolute worse. I thought I was going to meet the Autobot who had saved my life only I ended up meeting the Autobot whose intention was to ruin it.

*Please vote and comment. It'd mean so much to me. I wanna know what you guys think.*
