Late Night Chat

*I don't own Transformers or anything affiliated with Transformers. I only own my original characters and plots. All rights go to Michael Bay and Steven Spielberg.*

It was two in the morning and I was sitting in my bed staring at the ceiling. It was unusually early and I had no idea why I was even up but I was. I guess going to sleep at six in the evening has an effect on when you wake up. There was absolutely nothing to do at this hour without waking someone up but I was incredibly bored and was nowhere close to going back to sleep.

I sighed and carefully got up off of my bed. I grabbed Ron's jacket that was hanging on my bedpost and headed out of my room. As quietly as I could I hopped down the stairs and towards the front door. I turned the knob and opened it slowly to keep it from creaking. I closed the door behind me and stepped into the night air. It was cool and a slight breeze was blowing. I put on Ron's jacket and hobbled over to sit by the truck.

"Hey, Ironhide," I spoke as I awkwardly sat down on the ground.

I didn't even know why I spoke to the truck. I guess when I heard that my dad had named the vehicle it seemed appropriate. I just hoped it didn't start talking back to me.

The stars were bright as they normally were and the almost full moon shone brightly in the sky. I laid my head against the side of the truck and just looked up at the sky. Like it was a few days ago, the truck's exterior was warm. I could hear a faint humming, almost as if the truck itself was breathing, but I shrugged it off. A breeze blew by, causing me to pull Ron's jacket tighter over my body. Out of the corner of my eye I saw a shadow. I slowly looked over and jumped, but calmed down when I realized it was only Ron. He chuckled.

"Relax, kid. It's me," he told me.

"What are you doing out here?" I asked him.

"I could ask you the same thing," he said as he sat down beside me.

"I don't know really. I woke up and got bored. This seemed to be my only other option," I explained.

"You know you're not supposed to be on your knee, right?" he scolded.

"Yes. But I figured since everyone was asleep that no one would have to know, but here you are for some unknown reason. Shouldn't you be sleeping or something?" I asked.

He scoffed. "Let's just say that I don't need the same kind of sleep that a regular human does," he said.

I gave him a confused look. "What is that supposed to mean?" I asked. He just smirked. "You're annoying."

"Likewise," he chuckled.

My back was getting rather warm leaning against the truck. It was weird. I leaned away and took off my jacket. I even had sweat on the back of my neck. Ron looked at me as I wiped the liquid on my sweatpants.

"What's wrong?" he asked.

I leaned back against the truck.

"The truck is very warm for some odd reason. I'm like sweating," I laughed.

As I finished my sentence, I swore that I could feel the truck literally cool down.

"It doesn't feel warm to me," he replied.

I shrugged. I could've swore. . .

"Maybe it's just me."

"Probably so," he chuckled.

"So, I keep thinking about those evil alien robots," I stated.

Ron looked at me. "What about them?"

"If there's evil ones, there's bound to be good ones, right?" I asked.

"It's possible," Ron said.

I chuckled. "No offense, but I'm almost positive that they would have a better chance of defeating them than you guys would."

"Trust me, I know," he responded.

"Then find some and get to it," I joked. He laughed. "No but seriously. If you do find some I want to meet one."

"Why is that?"

"I don't know. Maybe I could be friends with one," I laughed.

"Good luck with that."

"That's going to be my life's goal: become friends with an alien. I'm very determined to make it happen," I said.

"You're quite aspiratious, aren't you?" he asked. I blinked at him.

"Yes I am," I said.

He chuckled again. "I respect that."

"Good. You should. There's not many people like me left, you know?" I joked.

"In a way, that could be considered a good thing," he chuckled.

I pushed his shoulder. "I'm a very fun person and you know it."

"Define fun for me," he said.

I gaped at him and he laughed. "You're so mean," I pouted.

He smiled and gave me a one arm hug. "I'm kidding. I rather enjoy you and your company," he told me.

I could feel my cheeks heating up from his words. His arm was still draped around my shoulder, the warmth from his body sheltering me from the cool winds.

"I believe I told you the same thing about seven hours ago," I chuckled and yawned.

"Are you getting tired?"

"Not really," I said but yawned again.

He laughed. "You're a brat and a liar."

"I might be a brat but I most certainly am not a liar," I explained and yawned again.

"You're yawning indicates otherwise," he said.

I involuntarily laid my head down on his shoulder. I felt him stiffen under me so I shot up. "Sorry," I mumbled.

"You're fine," he said and gently pulled me back down. I yawned again and he snickered. "Go to sleep, kid."

"I just might," I said and snuggled into him. His arm tightened around me and I smiled. "Good morning," I said.

"Good morning?"

"Yes. It's like two in the morning," I said groggily.

He chuckled. "Well, then good morning," he replied.

A breeze blew past and I shivered. I felt another arm wrap around me and pull me closer. I wrapped my arms around Ron's torso and closed my eyes.

*Please vote and comment. It'd mean so much to me. I wanna know what you guys think.*
